The_Customizer Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 OOC: Unless opening it actually causes him harm, we should probably just continue on. Durkonna, would you be willing enough to do so? Quote
Tamamono Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 "I thank you for your courage, Durkonna! We won't hesitate to back you up if needed!" OOC: Phew, sorry guys, finally home! I'll be able to participate a lot more now. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted July 5, 2012 Author Posted July 5, 2012 QM Note: Seeing as how he has not disagreed, and it has been something around 4 days, I'll assume that he agrees, heck he's agreed to most plans! If he doesn't respond within 24 hours, I'll let Tamamono control him until he returns to being active. Durkonna slowly advances towards the statue speaks the magic words as The undead man had whispered them to him. At the final word, A large gust of wind swirls around the room and the party finds it hard to keep their ground. Bright light shines from the doorway and the party is temporarily blinded. When they open their eyes, they realize that Durkonna is stabbed by the statue, but that a portal-like door has been opened. The party readies their weapons at the undead man, but he simply raises his hand. "He can be saved, yes, I knew this would happen. I told you the truth. One of you may die. Give me the objects that I had requested." Quote

Here are the items you demanded." stated Sylph. QM Note: I was pretty sure that that was just supposed to be on Saturday through Sunday, but maybe the trip was prolonged or something. Sylph gives the undead man the items and waits to see what he will do. Muttering some magic words, Durkonna's eyes turn white, and she falls to the ground. Seconds later, the skeleton from the items is resurrected, and Durkon gets up. He looks at his new skeletal body, and then sees his old self, lying on the ground. "You will get yourself back. For now, let's continue." Quote
The_Customizer Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 Oh, so that's why you needed a skeleton. Well, let's journey on down! Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 Sylph suggests that we go into the glowing Portal of death, himself last, of course. Call out if you're dying. Quote

The_Customizer Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 Agreed, after all, if you turn into a skeleton, no one can really kill you, can they? Quote

Bricksandparts Posted July 8, 2012 Author Posted July 8, 2012 QM Note: Sorry for the wait, I had some computer problems and and had to fix some stuff but I finally got most of it done and should be able to to continue the quest. The party walks through the vortex and appears in a bright barren land, and everything is colorless. the only distinguishing of color is shading, and in every direction, nothing. The only thing in sight is the vortex behind the party. "Any last preparations before we leave? There will be fighting, so be prepared." Quote

You know, sometimes portals are opened to right were a dragon's mouth is, or over an endless pit. Sometimes even over an endless pit filled with dragons. I'm glad this is not one of those. So, aside from Dead-Durkon picking up his equipment, I'd say we're good to go. I won't be much help healing you now Durkon, I think. Maybe one of our friends in possession of an amethyst could help you there?" Quote
The_Customizer Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 Actually, I am not sure he can even die. That aside, we need to get our barrings of the land. Quote

Well, I can tell you one thing, this world has very little connection to Mother Earth that I can feel easily. My powers are strained here, and I don't like the feeling." Quote
The_Customizer Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 Agreed, the sooner we get the spirit fog, the sooner we can leave. Those people at the guild really don't know what we have had to go through, do they? If worst comes to worst, maybe we can demand more payment, and perhaps our undead friend here can help us. Quote
RPGer Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 Durkon feels his body change to manliness. He stands, and his bones shift as he realizes he is undead. He wonders if he is omnipotent...... "I say we cruise through. What could go wrong?" OOC: Can I please be able to take no damage if I'm undead? Quote
Tamamono Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 "Hrm... I honestly don't think applying venom to our weapons would do anything, and similarly, neither would any other items." "Let's go in to the portal. There's no way to know what lies behind there other than just diving in head-first." Quote
