Yay! I get to nominate again. Woo-hoo! :sweet:

*Samantha wishes that the people who win the challenge just got the clues*

Ooh, did I wish that out loud? :innocent:

Anyhoo, I'll nominate:

Diana Mantino (Fugazi)

Fred Thomas (CorneliusMurdock)

Chris Owen (Tamamamamono)

As they've shared their clues previously.

"Alright, let us all share our clues straight out. Compile them into a list. Assuming that we all get all the clues, even if the traitor comes up with some false ones, we should be able to weed through them. All cards on the table and all hands on deck. That's a phrase I learned when I was an intern on a pirate ship for a year in my younger days!"

There were 8, only 6 of which completed the challenge.

It was hard! :cry_sad: Finding the Great Globe of Glasnost was much easier!

As they've shared their clues previously.

I have too... haven't I? :look:

"What's up everyone?" The old man asks as he appears again.

"Hey!" Somebody complains, "That's the same picture that was used twice in the intro. What cheap production values?"

"Are we ever going to get out of this room?" Another asks.

"No!" The old man says, polite yet agitated, "As explained earlier, this was the final unexplored room of the temple. You are trapped here. The demon among you is delivering your souls to Vacuus. This is your final stand. Vacuus will rise from this pool before very long, oh say...three chapters from now. When he arrives, you will engage in a battle for your very souls. It's very important you know who to trust by the time he rises from the depths."

"Um...what?" Someone replies.

"You must know who to trust!" The old man repeats. "Everyone as a group must nominate three people to receive a clue. Please use this format:

vote: character (username)

Only votes in this format will be accepted. The three people with the most votes will be given a clue, so only nominate someone if you trust them."

"I haven't really talked to anybody." Says a tour member, "I haven't really gotten into this one. Not much is happening..."

"It's clear you are not talking to each other," The old man says sadly, "Nobody has even mentioned that this is the first chapter that didn't begin with a fresh pool of blood on the floor..."

"Oh...right..." Some are heard to say.

"I was actually going to comment on this, but assumed that the voice of the sky would make fun of me for being silly if I did. :sceptic::tongue: I actually just thought that the pools of blood represented previous tour members, and for whatever reason there had been enough blood from them. Alright, so, no blood... what does that mean? Perhaps it has something to do with who the clues were given to on different days? But there was blood in the intro... or rather, the very first action. Do you think the demon worshiper is able to do things while the rest of us are sitting around building?"

"I've just had a brain burst. You think the demon would be pretty active, right?! They'd want to catch the most clues, right? So that we couldn't get any. Perhaps those who have completed a number of challenges should actually be more heavily scrutinized. Sounds a little backwards, I know, but my obsession with spy thrillers has taught me to think outside the box!"

So how many challenges have you attempted then?

Posted

And you just happen to be one of those too lazy to do the challenges and thus are above suspicion? How convenient. Those of us participating in the challenges are trying to solve this damn thing. Sure, it's possible the demon is being active but it could just be they're just as lazy as you are. Those of us being active are also easier to scrutinize, though, so knock yourself out. If everyone were more active, we'd have probably gotten out of here by now.

We all should have a high stake in this thing. It's our lives, people. Why should I care if those who aren't even trying get a clue? If they're not even gonna put in the effort to survive, I'm not gonna put my life in their hands.

Maybe the blood represents our time left like a clock. Maybe the clock paused to buy us some time?

I'd like to examine the puddles as a whole. Are they laid out in any order or pattern?

Is this voting for clues different than the challenge winners' voting?

*It is separate. The challenge winners are still responsible for deciding on three people to receive clues.*

I actually just thought that the pools of blood represented previous tour members,

* :damn: Are you megablocking kidding me??*

*This is a great question. Please hold for a thorough analysis.*

"A total of two. I have put forward an effort since I've gotten the hang of things, sweetie."

"Solving clues is one way of trying to figure things. Actively trying to figure out where behavioral patterns could lead us is another. And do you really think that the one and only demon would be sitting by idly while we soaked up all the clues? We have each other to lean on, he or she does not. I think it is actually reasonable to assume that they may be active."

* :damn:Are you megablocking kidding me??*

*No I am not.*

Is it leaning on others or forcing them to carry you?

Let's think this out. The demon could be trying to get clues. But there's been multiple clues a day and the voting system doesn't seem to favor a single person hoarding clues. So, yeah, they could lie about a clue but with the frequency of clues, it might just get them caught faster. It seems to me the perfect way to play the system would be to either try to win a vote and appear helpful by distributing clues to others and hope they don't point to you or to lay back and not draw attention to yourself.

There are more people "leaning" on others than taking charge. What's more inconspicuous?

"Very well. Let's hear your course of action. Who are your suspects currently? Why do you suspect them? Let's hear it. Shooting down ideas is all fine and dandy, but what have you figured out."

That's a kind gesture Chris, I will make sure to share my clue with everyone if it's of any help. :sweet:

"Any progress on that, Diana? That was just a few minutes ago, but it seems like ages ago. But don't think we've forgotten. We'd love to hear all these clues. The voice in the sky would love for us to hear them too, it appears."

I'll go a head and share my second clue, then, and you can tell me what's not right since you have such wonderful ideas.

I found brown cloth in the second puddle. So with my first clue, tan. Who does that point to? Me. You can understand my confusion. I know I'm not a demon.

Maybe they mean nothing and the demon knows it so they don't have to try.

"And to me too. We're actually the only two it leads to, and since I actually know that I'm not a demon, forgive me if I'm a little suspscious. Especially because the only reason you'd lie about your clues is if you were the demon. So again, you'll have to forgive me to mistrust you. Even though the demon wouldn't lead us to himself... unless you think we'd note that the demon wouldn't lead us to himself...." *huh*

I actually didn't notice that your vest was tan.

Well, that changes things for me as well. Here I was thinking that it could only point to me and that all the clues must be bunk. Or some of them, at least.

Of course you pointed out that it would make you a suspect yourself, so... Maybe it's the wine in front of you.

"That seems to leave us with a strangely low number of suspects... but yes, it is possible it's one of the two of us, and then it's down to the others to pick between the two of us."

"Is there anything else anyone could think of these fabric bits meaning? Also, it has been revealed that these pools of blood belonged to someone in this room... a fact I forgot due to the hole in my head. Let's thoughts flow more freely, but sometimes I lose a few... No one is bleeding... is there another way to lose blood I'm not thinking of? Does anyone feel faint? Is there a body hidden in the room?! WAIT! How many members were part of the last party here? Could these blood puddles relate to them? Could they still be here?"

"Wait, wait, new scary thought people! We're finding the fabric in the blood. People bleeding is not good, even probably for a demon person. Maybe these fabric bits are telling us who will die, if they belong to people in the room, and if the blood belongs to people too. Which would make mine and Fred's futures look rather... deadly. Oh my. Any thoughts on that theory? I'm just spit balling here!"

Posted

But if the demon wins wouldn't all of us die? Why would one of us be singled out? If the puddles are arranged in a clock pattern, maybe the demon has to pick us in a certain order to die or something...

"The monk has been clear, these belong to us."

"It has been revealed by the monk that these belong to us."

The goofy monk appears again. "What you should know about this puddle of blood," he says, "is that it once belonged to a person in this room."

"We know that puddle three had a dark blue fabric and a black fabric thanks to Chris Owen. That makes it look like the blood there is from Sheldon or Siegourney. What puddle did you ask about, Fred? This further supports my theory. If these puddles or blood are from different people, they must relate to not demon people, because there is only one demon!"

"And just because I don't want to miss the public vote, since all this thinking has made me tired, I will vote now."

Vote: Sylvia Berent (Zepher)

Vote: Fred Thomas (CorneliusMurdock)

Vote: Chris Owen (Tamamono)

"The other two have shared their clues in the past, I will share my clue. We need to get all the fabric from all these puddles and see what we can figure out from it. I trust these two to cooperate. We should also have people double check the puddles already checked. Not Chris Owen's, as his found fabrics doesn't connect to him, but we should check Fred's, and see if we can't figure out if he was lying about the fabrics to get himself cleared and make it appear like he might be killed. Sorry Fred, I just want to double check you, you can imagine why it's important as your clues are the reasons that I trust you, and you could easily be lying."

*The puddles are numbered, in order of appearance by how many 1x1 round plates represent each one.*

*Sorry to once again confuse my players, but the public vote should only be for one person. The top three vote-getters will receive clues. To make sure there are three clear winners, the tour member must work together. Challenge winners are placing three votes a piece. Makes sense now, huh? Needless complications are fun, right?*

Right. So, there's a big mystery that we must solve in order to get out of here alive. Also, I remember someone important mentioning we may at some point be inclined to attack, kill or search people in our group. Remember that for when we find the demon among us, as we will have to kill him to stop him from feeding our souls to Vacuus - we don't want that. Also, we should all be prepared in case this demon decides to attack us. We're all armed with a shark's tooth or two, if that helps at all. Maybe shark's teeth are the demon's weakness...

Allow me to split this little adventure up into chapters and see if I can't gather up all the clues.

So Chapter 1 there was a puddle of blood, 5/14 of us participated in the challenge and Samantha (Rufus) nominated Siegourney (Siegfried), Fred (Cornelius Murdock) and Diana (Fugazi) who in turn nominated Samantha (Rufus) and Fred (CorneliusMurdock) to receive clues.

Chapter 2 brings another mysterious puddle of blood. It's established that if that blood belonged to someone, they'd be very dead. Also, no-one was bleeding, so it can't have been from any of us. We found 8 knobs on the walls, and they seemed significant, but we couldn't figure out what to do with them. 8/14 of us participated in the challenge, and Siegourney (Siegfried) nominated Sheldon (Shadows), Samantha (Rufus) and Fred (Cornelius Murdock) who in turn nominated Siegourney (Siegfried) and Fred (Cornelius Murdock) to receive clues.

In Chapter 3 a frog tells William secrets, there's another puddle of blood, and the rules for clue nominating change. Instead of one challenge winner nominating three people who nominate two people to get clues, not the four challenge winners nominate two people to get clues. Samantha (Rufus), Diana (Fugazi), Chris (Tamamono) and Siegourney (Siegfried) nominate Tony (Tamamono), Diana (Fugazi) and Diesel (Dragonator) to receive clues.

Fred reveals his first clue – he found tan fabric in the first blood puddle. Samantha reveals that her clue apparently had nothing to do with fabric, colours, or blood. The monk reveals that puddle of blood once belonged to a person in the room...

Chapter 4 - more blood. Samantha (Rufus), Diana (Fugazi), Fred (CorneliusMurdock) and Chris (Tamamono) nominate Penny (Peppermint M), Diana (Fugazi) and Siegourney (Siegfried) to receive clues.

Diana reveals she found dark blue fabric in the third puddle of blood, and Chris reveals that he found black fabric in the same puddle. (Siegourney and Sheldon are the only two wearing both dark blue and black, by the way...) Cue vision of a figure holding a clear gem being stabbed, followed by figure standing in puddle of blood holding green gem. Say Samantha, your clue didn't involve gems, did it?

And now we're sitting at Chapter 5. No new blood puddle! Donna (Dannylonglegs), Samantha (Rufus) and Diana (Fugazi) get to choose three lucky people to receive clues, but wait, there's more! In addition to that, everyone votes for someone to get a clue, which the top three shall get.

Sure, Sylvia has mentioned some of these points, but it took me ages to form these words in my brain so I'm gonna say it all anyway!

I'm going to vote: Fred Thomas (CorneliusMurdock) to receive a clue, as he was the first to share one.

Now that could be useful. I'd like to examine each of the members of the group to see if anyone is missing a patch of fabric that matches what you saw.

Right. So, blahblahblahblahblahblahblahblah...

tl;dr

blahblahblahblah... I'm going to vote: Fred Thomas (CorneliusMurdock) to receive a clue, as he was the first to share one.

What I got through made perfect sense to me.

vote: Fred Thomas (CorneliusMurdock)
