Posted October 28, 200618 yr an ambassador posted this on 'Classic space' a few days back on behalf of the Lego Group; Maybe the car freaks among us who are no member there would like to have some input as well... Folks,The ambassadors have been asked to gather input on what type of car fans would like to see if, IF, LEGO made a collectible car set. The car must be from the past 30 years, and well known in the US and the UK. I'm going to list some suggestions that have come up in chat. Please list ALL cars you'd like to see, even if they've already been listed by someone else, or if they are in my list already. I need to come up with a quantified list. Please list each car on its own line in your post, to make counting easier. If you want to add conversation, please keep it seperated from your list. Suggestions so far: *Delorean *General Lee *Ford Mustang *Lamborghini Countach (or Diablo, Murcielago, Gallardo) *Porsche *Lotus Elise or Exige *Subaru Impreza WRX *Bugatti Veyron *Morgan Aero 8 *Lotus Esprit *Mini Cooper *Chevy Corvette *BMW M3 *Aston Martin DB9
October 28, 200618 yr i dunno if lego is able to build model cars with the right curves. the ferraris currently on sale arent that attractive to me. way too blocky and the stickers made it look even uglier.

I'm not a "car freak" but I agree. Out of that list a few cars would be interesting - but not from the last 30 years. That "era" wasn't exactly known for a good choice of car design IMHO. But maybe TLC manages to surprise me with a good model...
October 28, 200618 yr a beatle!! thow i think this is more of a european trend americans are not that much into it i guess
October 29, 200618 yr Delorean with light-up Flux Capacitor(use an ExoForce lightbrick) and Flight Mode conversions. :-D It's also got a rather flat hood, so should lend itself to accurate modeling with bricks...
October 29, 200618 yr I would like a renault Avantime! I don't like how real cars look in lego, like the ferrari F430 and the "creator" Enzo. I prefer the big technic "Enzo". I think that technic cars are better, because Technic suggest the curves, contrary to the traditional bricks with which you have them, so they don't look like in real. I don't know if I'm clear in what I say... But that what I think.
October 29, 200618 yr LOL, Hobbes! And I know this isn't a popular choice, considering it's not a racing car of any sort, but I'd love to see a SMART car. Ever since I saw it all those years ago, I just can't get enough of it!
