Can any other characters blow up silver bricks? Or only bats with his power suit?

The Penguin has exploding penguin bomb things.

Yep. I'm thinking more of a Justice League game though.

Oh right, the Brainiac end-scene. Yeah, I hope it's a more general DC Superheroes game, and not still focuses on Batman & Robin... Justice League would indeed be cool, and make sense :sweet:

I got lego batman 2 today and while riding around in the batmobile and robinbike I noticed they have seemingly random parts missing off them. a grill on the back of robins bike and a piece of the batmobile exposing the interior build. is this a glitch or is it story related or a way to show damages on your vehicles?

The vehicles take damage when you hit things or if the thugs hit them with dynamite or similar if you are just free roaming. So their condition slowly degrades with parts falling off. Eventually if you take enough damage it will fall apart and you will need to grab a new vehicle.

It only happens when you are just roaming. The vehicles are pretty much invulnerable during the story mode vehicle quests.

Also Bane was in the trailer front cover and back cover of the game and he didn't appear at all in story mode. Why?

Last but not least anyone getting the idea of a third installment considering that thing with Brainiac at the end?

Bane was in the Arkham Asylum chapter in the beginning. He was driving the drill truck that was chasing you around the maze.

The third installment might be a DC Superheroes Superman game. Lego has already announced that there will be Superman sets to coincide with the new movie. I'm sort of hoping they go all out with a Justice League one. ( or heck we can dream a DC vs Marvel. yeah yeah I know, never gonna happen. Sigh!)

Does anyone know which incarnation of Robin it's supposed to be? The website says it's Tim Drake, but the Acrobat Suit would suggest it's Dick Grayson. Plus, I think at one point we see the Dynamic Duo in their civvies, and it clearly identifies him as Dick. That said, Nightwing is also in the game (assuming preorder), so... Gah! I don't know!

It's confusing. The Robin suit we see is definately Tim Drake's. But he seems kinda young for Tim who started at what 16? Plus I think a cave scene identifies him as Dick, which makes no sense since Nightwing is an option. I think someone at Tt just sort of messed up and got Robins confused. (not hard to do for a Bat layperson).

The demo for PS3 finally showed up Thursday, so I promptly downloaded it. Like any other LEGO game the game-play was great! Not sure what level it was, but it was quite fun to battle every villain from Batman. Though I had hoped to play as Superman. While I enjoyed it, I'm not sending $50 if my LEGO money into a video game, I'll probably wait for it to go on sale like LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7.

I couldn't find what that did either, but I still finished the level. :sceptic:

See I figured it had to do with making a makeshift batsignal using the batwing connected to the strongman handle (but i couldn't get the handle to work)

Where are the character doors made of gold bricks located? I've found a few (Lois Lane, Batgirl, Aquaman), but I can't find the others. Are they on the sides of tall buildings? Or near the remote terminals?

You can see them on the map as "golden arches".

But usually they are located in those rooftop stunt tracks that earn You a gold brick once completed.

Remote terminals have nothing to do with these.

You have to use the deconstructor in the joker/luthor mech on the "bat signal", then the orange handle activates.

To get the mech You gotta go to the, umm, the middle island of the three, on the bottom is the chemical "plant". Fly your superman up on the red or was it white knob, jump on it and the mech will eventually rise from the green pond of goo.

Sorry if I don't remember the exact way right now, bit tired at the moment.

Is there an option to fix the game play, these feels like I am being punished for playing single player, so annoying Robin keeps killing me all the time, and split screen for single player.

Just finished the story, and I am thoroughly impressed with it. The diologue was a vast improvement from the miming in other games, and the addition of speech allowed there to be an actual storyline. Now to round up the last few characters! :sweet:

P.S. Where in the park is Brainiac? I've been looking for ages with his face on the minimap.

He's just standing right near the terminal, on a patch of grass :) just run around near the icon and you'll find him! Place a marker down and you'll get there in no time.

Agreed. This has to be one of my favorite LEGO Games. I find it really fun just to run around Gotham.

Run around by his icon for a bit. It takes a while for him to show up.

Finished the main story, got all the vehicles except one, and got all the boss characters.

There's this gold brick in the Botanical Gardens the map shows when you scan it, but the Gold Brick Finder doesn't point anywhere for it, nor can I find it above the place, or inside. Where is it?

You need to go to the Batcave, select a flying vehicle, and then go through the hoops outside in a race against time which ends above the Botanical Gardens. :classic:

I doubt it is. I've gotten one or two small chuckles, but on the whole I've found it to be fairly awful. Most of the lines just come across as really forced humour to me, especially anything that The Joker says.

It really makes me wonder how the LOTR dialogue is going to work though - there can't be much in the way of original dialogue if they're taking the voices from the film, which seems to be the case from the trailer.

Wow. That's soo shocking!! I don't think I can ever play the first Lego Batman again b/c it DOESN'T have the voice acting. The voice acting and cut scenes have really made it enjoyable for me. I guess not everyone really enjoys it. I think it knocks this game out of the park, and it was one of the biggest reasons why I never played many of the Lego games before. I thought it was top notch!

Not sure if it has been posted already, but the dialogue for LOTR will be strictly dialogfue from the movies. Nothing new when it comes to voice recordings. Now this might be a little forced as they're using source dialogue instead of everything made up on the fly like Lego Batman 2.

I love the game and it's in my opinion the best Lego game so far. However one thing I didn't like was that the story was to short and the other villains didn't get enough screen time.

I agree! This is the first one I've truly enjoyed and will strive to get 100% on. I'm currently at 80% needing 75 more gold bricks, 9 or so more Civilians in Peril, 2/3's of the mini-kits and most of the vehicles.

I think the free roam aspect adds to the amount of time playing as the story mode felt a little short. But I'm abusing the amount of time in free roam.

I wish some of the villains had more story to them, but it wasn't a dealbreaker. Hoping to 100% this sucker by the end of the week!

Oh, I had no idea there's kind of a bonus level against Lex in his armor.

Just started playing the game and I love it! Does anyone have nice clear screenshots of all the characters in the game?

Thanks in advance!

That might be tough as there are 60 characters (including the Hero and Villain pack). ;) I found this site to be really helpful in locating red bricks and certain characters. http://www.videogamesblogger.com/2012/06/19/how-to-unlock-all-lego-batman-2-characters.htm

Does anyone have a favorite character's finishing move? When I say finishing move, after beating up 3 people in quick succession, the 4th baddie will have a "B" (on the xbox) above their head, and if you press it, you perform a "special" attack. For example, Green Lantern will punch someone with a big green construct.

I'd love to see a list of all the characters "special" attack.

My favorite so far has to be Harley Quinn's hammer smash, as she jumps in the air and bangs them into the ground w/ her hammer.

Sorry maybe I should have been clearer - I would like some clear pics of the new characters in the game. Specifically Captain Boomerang, General Zod, Martian Manhunter and Brainiac.

for people that are stuck at Chapter 12: The Next President due to the game freezing at the final cutscene with batman and robin in the car. here is a code given out to me by Traveler's Tales to skip it and continue in story mode. it is N0CUT5. You have to use it before you get to city hall in gotham city or before the final cutscene in the level. thanks for your time.

I don't really appreciate your tone, but here. These were the best I could find.
