Hello everybody, I'm a big Clone Wars fans and just wanted to share something. I must warn you though that there may be some plot spoilers ahead, so read on at yer-own risk!

Ok, let’s get started. I’ve been with The Clone Wars since the beginning five years ago, never missing one episode. Ok, maybe I’ve missed a few here and there but I’ve watched them all on either DVD or Blu-Ray. Thus far we’re at S05E14, “Eminence”, which aired last Saturday. (BTW; happy 100 episodes Dave Filoni and crew!!!) Great episode I must add! Happy seeing Maul and Savage again. Now let’s get to the point.

Over the years you’ll learn to sometimes jump (or leap if you must…) ahead of some episodes using various sources mostly via the web. Here and there you’ll see trailers, message boards, interviews, yadayadayada. So far for what we’ve seen in the trailers of Season Five, we’re all going to be blown away. There is Death Watch, The Brothers, Ventress/Ahsoka, Anakin/Clovis, Obi-Wan in Fett armor (oh-yeah!!!) and ofcourse, much anticipated, Darth Sidious in action!!!

As mentioned before, Season Five is now at episode 14 awaiting the 15th to be aired this Saturday (the 26th). Each season consists of 22 episodes which leaves us now with 8 more episodes to go. From the wiki sources of Star Wars we know that the next two episodes will end the current Arc, those being S05E15, “Shades of Reason” and S05E16, “The Lawless”. That leaves 6 more episodes in which The Clovis Arc and Ventress Arc must be fitted. So far we also know that The Clovis Arc consists of 3 episodes (maybe 4, I’m not sure). The 3 known episodes of Clovis are “An Old Friend”, “The Rise of Clovis” and “Crisis at the Heart”. Very little has been revealed about the Ventress Arc (not sure if it’s an arc or just a standalone episode…) other than she’ll face Ahsoka and some Clone Troopers.

There is something though that bugs me and you can see for yourselves. Check this link out; http://clonewars.wikia.com/wiki/The_Clone_Wars_Season_5 and compare it to this other one; http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/The_Clone_Wars%3A_Season_Five. I want more info on these strange episodes: “Sabotage”, “The Jedi Who Knew Too Much”, “To Catch A Jedi” and “The Wrong Jedi”. If you find anything, please share. I’m not sure if they’re placed right; Were they planned for Season 6 and have been moved? Which episode will feature Ventress and Ahsoka, for ‘these’ leave no more room for episodes in this season (the count is at 23 which doesn’t make sense…) I know these info’s are subject to change, but still, find out what you can.

All in all, there’s still plenty of action packed episodes left for this Season and I’m sure we’ll all enjoy them.

One last thing: I remember reading somewhere that Dave Filoni Said that starting with the 12th episode of Season 3 (“Nightsisters”) the episodes will run in chronological order. Well, that’s not entirely true. The Season Five opener (S05E01) was supposed to be “A War on Two Fronts”. For unknown reasons they used “Revival” as the first episode. SPOILERS AHEAD! SPOILERS AHEAD! Adi Galia is killed in episode 1, yet she’s still alive and sitting at the Council in episode 2. Also in “Revival” Hondo mentions Grievous attacking his empire. This raid happens in Episode 9. My point? If you watch Season 5 in episode order you’ll get confused. With the episodes so far, if you want to watch them in the right order (maybe you've videotaped them…) you must start Season Five with the Onderon Arc (Episodes 2, 3, 4 and 5) followed by the Younglings Arc (Episodes 6, 7, 8 and 9), the ***cought****stupid****cough*** Droid Arc (Episodes 10, 11, 12 and 13) followed by Episode 1, THEN Episode 14 and so on. In short, just place the “Revival” episode between episodes 13 and 14, so that “Revival will act as the start of the four part story Arc involving The Brothers, Death Watch, Obi-Wan and Darth Sidious.

All those episode titles listed on Wookieepedia is the entire Ahsoka/Ventress arc, which will be the season finale and this season will only contain 20 episodes. That's what the rumour is.

Hmmm, maybe. But in 4 years they've always sticked to 22 episodes. I think Season 5 also ends with 22 episodes. The last two are still to be named.

Which doesn't mean they will stick to 22 forever.

Well, I really hope they do stick to 22. Either way, we all know by now that Season 6 is on it's way. So more episodes to keep going. I really wanted to see the Clovis Arc (Anakin finaly going Vader on Rush Clovis!!!). Speaking of which, seems like the first season that won't feature Cad Bane. He will be missed. I wish we could see more of Quinlan Vos and Darts D'Nar. AND MORE BOBA FETT!!!!

Looking forward to "Shades of Reason" and "The Lawless"!!!

Could you explain what you didn't like about it?

Oky pretty much summed up my feelings in the review. I just couldn't see people liking this episode without Maul, but I guess that's just my opinion. I'm sorry if I offended anyone.

Anyways, Shades Of Reason was fine but I kinda liked Vizsla... Atleast it was a better death than most characters.

Well, Maul is there anyways, so I don't think that's much of a point.

Shades of Reason! Wow! Like Hondo said: "I'm semy speechless..." It's one of the best episodes (in my opinion) in TCW which involves a fight scene. But overall great. The twist of events. I knew the outcome, but I didn't know how it would happen. It's interesting to see that Vizsla's skills have improved since Season 2. Obi-Wan quickly overpowered him in "The Mandalore Plot" but here he managed to put up quite a fight, and against Darth Maul, who was taught by Palpatine himself. Great fight indeed! The episode develops nicely, and again leaves us wanting more. So we look forward to the next episode.

One thing that bothers me is that somehow it seems like they are rushing through these episodes. I got the same feeling whilst watching "Eminence". So much happening in so little time. When I first saw the trailer I thought we'd see Obi-Wan in armor in this episode. There's one more to go for this arc, "The Lawless". So in that remaining episode Obi-wan has to team up with Katan, fight against Maul's Death Watch and Darth Sideous will fight agains the brothers. In my opinion, the Onderon Arc could have done without one episode and the Droid Arc could have been shown in just two episodes. They took their time to build up in those Arcs and yet in this interesting one they rush through. It's so sad that it's coming to an end.

But all in all, I've enjoyed the last two episodes thusfar, and they keep getting better by the number. So, now my countdown begins. Awaiting "The Lawless"!!!

Shades of Reason was an outstanding episode. I agree that the past two episodes seemed a tad rushed but they are in reality the 2nd and 3rd episodes of this story arc. The duel between Vizsla and Maul was the highlight of Season 5 thus far. Absolutely memorable, I couldn't imagine it ending any other way. Vizsla showed us why he was the leader of Death Watch, too bad he was battling a superior opponent. At least he held his own against Maul, it had to end the way it did though. I can't wait until next week. I'm not sure if we'll see Obi-Wan in Mandalorian armor and a Maul/Savage vs. Darth Sidious battle all in the same episode. That would definitely seem rushed.

It is actually, or at least as far as I know. "The Lawless" is the last episode of this Arc. After this starts a new Arc. (The Ahsoka/Ventress Arc I think)

So in short, All what you mentioned would or should happen in that same episode!!! Definitly rushed...

There's so much going on in the next episode. I can't say all of it as that would include major spoilers:

-Obi-Wan Kenobi in Mandalorian armour. Supposedly the Jedi Council don't want him to go to Mandalore, so I suspect there may be a Jedi Council scene at the start.

-The Mandalorian Civil War. Bo-Katan will also have to rescue Obi-Wan at some point.

-Korkie's return. There's also the scene where Obi-Wan is grabbing onto Satine's arm while grabbing onto a rail, which is around where Korkie comes in, I think.

-The supposed destruction of the Twilight.

-Darth Sidious vs Darth Maul & Savage Opress

Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if Sidious vs Maul & Savage is at the end of the episode, considering how much is going on, and like I also said, I wasn't posting any of the major spoilers I know will happen... I wouldn't be surprised either if we see inter-changing scenes between the civil war and Sidious vs Maul & Savage, kinda like how they inter-changed between Maul & Savage vs Obi-Wan & Adi Gallia and the Pirates fighting in "Revival".

So far, so good. Too much happening in ONE episode, and the Droid Arc paced toooooooooo slow in my opinion. Again I say, they could've covered te entire D-Squad adventure (+Gregor) in just two episodes to give the Mandalore Arc more episodes.

I get the feeling that there will be more deaths in the upcoming episode which closes this amazing arc.

I would put € on a particular character getting killed. It's a given to me since a certain other character returned recently.

I basically agree. Some arcs could be shortened to give this arc more room. It doesn't make much sense to me to give each arc four episodes.

The fight scene was ok but the whole scene where the Duchess and Vizsla were talking in front of this huge crowd in strangely amplified voices was a bit ridculous and the idea of putting a captured Maul and Savage together in one cell without excessive security seems to be asking for trouble to me. I guess the arc is ok (especially compared to the baby Jedi arc) but I agree it seems a bit rushed for all they're trying to achieve here.

I guess we'll have to wait and see the turn of events this Saturday. But I meant someone else dying. Let me put it this way: More people will die in "Lawless" than in "Shades".

Exactly!!! Some four-arcs in the past were great. (Season two's Return to Geonosis arc, Season four's Umbara/Krell arc) But some four-part-arc from this season were too long if you ask me.

HHahahaha, my thoughts exactly!!! When I watched this episode saturday, I had to scratch my head at this moment. Savage busting out of prison with ease. But maybe the mandalorians were short on troopers and everyone or most of them were at the throne room with Vizsla which would explain the lack of security, but still, these guys are Sith. You just don't leave 'em roaming around to their own devices!!!

A great episode nonetheless, among the best I've seen from Filoni. I felt like I was watching one of the Star Wars movies.

While I don't disagree that some arcs definitely should not have been four episodes, it's not certain that this arc would've benefited from having more. It's all the stuff going on that makes these episodes (unusually) action packed and engaging! I agree that a few bits in the previous episode felt rushed, but expanding the same story out to two episodes might've produced too-drawn-out, dull episodes that would've been far worse than an episode with a couple of rushed moments.

Nobody can say for sure, but packing a lot into an episode is a good way to go in my book.

Interesting observation, I didn't see it that way, but you are right. It's the rush moments that make them so good. And besides, never in the history of The Clone Wars (as far as I know...) did they make arcs longer than 4 episodes, and this Arc already has four: "Revival", "Eminence", "Shades of Reason" and "The Lawless", so it's fine like that. Another episode would make the story indeed dull.
