Captain Settle Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 I mean, if we get extremely technical, you would have Redcoats with tricornes in the South Pacific Islands (Think Captain Cook) But that is splitting tremendous hairs at that point. Not worth it, the shako's are everything. Then again, if you only did use tricornes, the officers that you get in every set would finally come in use. But no, I don't follow dates very specifically with my LEGO. Quote
Captain Merlot Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 For My pirate sets, I like anywhere from 1700 to the end of the Napleonic Wars. I don't really like pirate ships, though Imperial stuff I go crazy for. Quote
SkaForHire Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 If I build American ships they tend to be War of 1812ish, If I build Brits and pirates they tend to be Golden Age. My forts can range from Early Spanish to American Civil War though, and I just destroyed a bunch of confederate blockade runners I build a while back... So some times I build in the early steam age.
