Hinckley Posted March 28, 2012 Author Posted March 28, 2012 *Siegourney and Fred put the torches in the left hands of all four statues. They try to light them, but they have no way to do so.*
Hinckley Posted March 28, 2012 Author Posted March 28, 2012 I'd like to try pulling the left arms down. *Siegourney pulls all of the arms down. The statues pivot revealing bricks for today's challenge. Um...looks like I forgot to get a picture. Please hold for a little while for today's challenge. *
Tamamono Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Oh dear, another blood puddle! It looks like those nasty demons have been converting again. You naughty, naughty demons! Didn't anyone ever teach you it's bad manners to go around stabbing people with misshapen tooth-daggers? Well, it appears the group we chose yesterday can't be trusted. I think there's at least an 80% chance that the one who cannot be trusted is Siegourney. Due to my dynamic actions, I've found out some very interesting pieces of information (which, of course, I'd love to share, but I'd like everyone to please report all the clues they've received thus far first), but things just don't add up when I count Sheldon as a demon. I think it's more likely that whoever came forward with the clue about the orange hair is lying, and puddle 3 really contains pieces of Siegourney. The people who nominated her for the group clue yesterday are: Tony, Diana (Try not to make it so obvious ), and Sheldon (). Good morning, sunshine! Also, you're the demon. The original one, that is. You now have five members of the group converted. I believe strongly that one of them is Siegourney, and one of them is Diana. Sheldon, I apologize for accusing you over the last few days, I think you are clean, actually. Either you or Diana is. And if you're clean, Siegourney is certainly one of the demons. I have no idea who the newest convertee is. Yup, Sylvia knows what she's talking about. I too am pretty confident that Fred is a demon. I actually thought Diana was the original one, but then again, that's what you wanted us to think, isn't it Fred?
Siegfried Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 *Siegourney pulls all of the arms down. The statues pivot revealing bricks for today's challenge. Um...looks like I forgot to get a picture. Please hold for a little while for today's challenge. * I'm off to sleep, for real this time. Hopefully the random accusations will be over by then and we can get back to actually solving the mystery. I think it's more likely that whoever came forward with the clue about the orange hair is lying, and puddle 3 really contains pieces of Siegourney. Speaking of random accusations... while you're in a fantasy land, could you get my old jacket? Please?
CorneliusMurdock Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Yup, Sylvia knows what she's talking about. I too am pretty confident that Fred is a demon. I actually thought Diana was the original one, but then again, that's what you wanted us to think, isn't it Fred? Again, all you're doing is casting accusations without offering anything to back it up. You put forth your evidence, I'd be glad to tell you what's wrong about it. I'm not a demon. There has to be something fishy going on with your information sources. I already posted all the clues I've gotten before this last flash of light (last chapter). Not much else I can do until you guys give me something to argue against.
Rufus Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Well, I've only had one clue, and as I said before it was nothing to do with puddles, hair or pieces of fabric. On night one I got to 'borrow' three people's gems and throw them in the water. I chose, rather randomly, Diana, Donna, and Sheldon. All three of their gems turned red. I had no idea what to make of it at the time, but having seen the vision of the stabbed people holding green gems, I guess that means they are trustworthy, or at least were at the time. I hope this helps.
Mrlegoninja Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Wait, green means they are trustworthy, or red? And did anything happen to the gems after turning red? Like blowing up or turning to blood? Please tell us.

I looked at the forth pool to see if it did indeed point to Diana, and I found a strand of grey hair. So, now I'm pretty sure that she was lying or misinformed about the "reddish brown" hair.
Hinckley Posted March 28, 2012 Author Posted March 28, 2012 Chapter 7 Challenge x2 x1 You have 24 hours to complete this challenge. To participate you must post "Challenge: begin" in this thread when you start trying to build (or figure out) the creation. Do not post "Challenge: complete" when you are finished. Do not post in this thread for 15 minutes following your "Challenge: begin" post. If you do, your entry will be disqualified. PM the picture to me, do not post it in this thread. If it is incorrect, you won't know until I can respond, so make sure you get your complete time recorded by PM. Whoever has the fastest time will be declared the winner. You are on the honor code. This method is to be fair to all time zones so do not cheat!
Zepher Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 On night one I got to 'borrow' three people's gems and throw them in the water. I chose, rather randomly, Diana, Donna, and Sheldon. All three of their gems turned red. I had no idea what to make of it at the time, but having seen the vision of the stabbed people holding green gems, I guess that means they are trustworthy, or at least were at the time. I hope this helps. Red means good.... The person in the vision is holding a green gem because they've just been converted, I believe. Expecting some sort of reaction from me by spouting crap like that? Dream on. The only thing suspicious about me is why I keep boffing Sheldon. Let's stop wasting time making random accusations and get back to the process of finding facts. That's how we'll solve this, not by playing Cluedo. You are, I admit, the demon who is least proven to be a demon, but I still think it's you and not Sheldon. Speaking of which, remember Willoughby? The vision we all saw was him getting killed because the demon wasn't on the tour roster. I'm the freakin' security guard. His death proves it wasn't me, it was one of you tourists. I'm the only one here who still represents the tour company. The roster was a list of clients on the tour. And now for you dearie. Let's go ahead and tell you exactly why the case against you is so solid. Here are the clues pointing to you: 1) Your gem was thrown into the water by Chris, along with Diana's and Sheldon's. One glowed green (good), and two glowed red (demons). This was between Chapters 5 and 6, so we didn't know what that meant yet. Yesterday, the monk told us that red meant good, and green meant bad. I wanted to make sure that was true, so I pulled my own gem out in the water this time. It was red. I invite everyone else to do the same. 2) Between chapters 6 and 7, your gem was thrown into the water with Penny's, and Richard's. This time, only one glowed red, the other two were green. Chance? Maybe. I admit, it could have been both Diana and Sheldon as demons the first time, and then either Richard or Penny this time around... but... that seems unlikely. And I have a nail in the coffin. 3) Between chapters 6 and 7, I received a vision from our poor deceased Willoughby. Yes... the one you cited yourself. And for whatever reason, he seems to have changed his mind, because he confirmed for me that every guest was on the bus, and everyone on the bus was on the list. He seemed pretty certain of it. And so your claim as security detail is the condemning evidence. Now, the cases against the others. Diana, you seem to very clearly be a demon. You have just been outed as a liar by Donna. And your gem could be one of the two that glowed the first time the gems were tossed. Sheldon is the other option... which is what I think you'd like to have us believe. Sheldon and Signourey were both indicated by puddle 3, but suddenly, Diana to the rescue, you discovered red hair, confirming Sheldon. Only I think it's the other way around. I think you lied, and cleared Signourey. Besides, Sheldon would probably lead us in the charge of figuring out that the puddles meant conversions if he was a demon, where as he appeared clueless.
Bob Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 I'd like to push Fred into the pool. I thought it was you. That's why I pushed you into the pool earlier!
Fugazi Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Well I still don't believe this. Oh, I don't know about Fred so he's probably a demon, and Sheldon too. But I am being framed or misled and I don't know how to prove it to you. Hopefully you will be able to figure out yourselves with the clues that you get. Don't mean that I will stand here doing nothing. Challenge: begin
Zepher Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 I also suggest that today, when we nominate the group to receive clues from the monk, we nominate Chris, myself, and let's say, Sheldon. That way we could clear all of us, OR, Chris and I would know for a fact that Sheldon is a demon, which would in turn clear both Diana and Signourney. I think that's a plan everyone can get on board with.
CorneliusMurdock Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Here are the clues pointing to you: 1) Your gem was thrown into the water by Chris, along with Diana's and Sheldon's. And for whatever reason, he seems to have changed his mind, because he confirmed for me that every guest was on the bus, and everyone on the bus was on the list. He seemed pretty certain of it. And so your claim as security detail is the condemning evidence. Finally you decide to give me something to argue against. I'll rebut each point individually. 1.) I'm sorry but clues that actually investigate seem stupid to me. This is a mystery after all. Where's the deduction? Investigation results turn this into something quite different. Clues like that may actually exist but color me skeptical that it would be so easy to find demons. So for the first clue, we have Chris' word that this is the case. Need I remind you that Chris is also one of the group that was deemed "untrustworthy". Sure his conversion theory seems to pan out based on the evidence we have but that would be easy for a demon to tell us this if he thought someone was on to him. Makes him seem trustworthy but it could be an act. Also easy to fake an investigation clue to try to pin blame on someone else. Especially when finding two "demons" proves his theory. I'd also like to point out your bolded text here. One minute you're saying that red gems are bad and then you say your own gem is bad. 2.) Again, you haven't told us the source of the clue, but you assume it must be trustworthy. Even if this one is, you'd need both clues to be confirmed from coming from trustworthy people to have even circumstantial evidence. Pardon me if I don't think my gem being tossed in the pool twice with two groups automatically makes me a demon. 3.) Me being the security detail shouldn't have come as a shock. I've been security since the beginning and look I'm wearing a uniform. It's not a claim, it's a fact. As for your vision, I was on the bus, too. ALL of us here were. How does what he said make sense? And why would he contradict what his vision said earlier. Sounds fishy to me. Are you sure it was the real Willoughby? Maybe the demon has a one time action meant to confuse people. I will use my training in security to dodge Tony's attack and push him in instead. Is that how it is now. I've been working hard to figure this thing out since the beginning. And now suddenly, based on these vague claims, I'm suddenly the bad guy? If it was that easy to figure out who the demon was, why isn't there some way in place to get rid of me? Cause I'm sure an outed demon would just sit patiently and wait for the end. [sarcasm]And yeah, based on all this, let's give Chris and Sylvia all the rest of the clues. [/sarcasm]

[/sarcasm] 1) I'm sorry, you're right, I meant to say two glowed green (demons) and one glowed red (innocent). It's opposite another well known system, so I do actually personally confuse them from time to time. 3) Again, thank you for reminding me to clarify. Willoughby said all guests were accounted for. You are not one of those. You are the only person who is not one of those. I am not asking for clues. The system at the end of the day is more useful to us if we use to to vet for demons. I personally believe that when nominated, the three of us will prove clean. Or even safer, do Chris, Penny and I. If Diana is a demon, which I believe, then Penny is clean, since her gem glowed red in the batch of two red, once green. Finally, my trust in Chris CAN NOT be explained other than me simply saying I have been told by the voices in my head that I MUST trust him. The voices that enter from that hole in the top of my skull. From the Eskimos? You all remember it. I know that's not even close to helpful to any of you, but I don't have any other reason to trust him. OH! Yes I do! I looked into his eyes!!! Of course! Don't you remember that the other group said if you looked into the demon's eyes, like really really looked, you would know? I just realized when I resurfaced this time I saw his eyes, and that means that I would have known if he was a demon. I can't imagine why else that detail would have been included twice.

You are not one of those. You are the only person who is not one of those. Thanks for taking the time to double back and fix your errors "clarify". Not really surprising to me that you couldn't get it right the first time. Setting someone up to be the fall guy must be hard. Finally, my trust in Chris CAN NOT be explained other than me simply saying I have been told by the voices in my head that I MUST trust him. The voices that enter from that hole in the top of my skull. From the Eskimos? You all remember it. What a load of crap. Convenient, too, since one of the flaws in your case was you placing so much trust in Chris. [sarcasm] You don't sound like you're making it up as you go along at all. [/sarcasm] I didn't really think that you were the demon before but with all of this you're making me reconsider that someone merely played you.
Zepher Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 You got me! I'm a demon. I've been sitting back quietly, but you're right, I felt like right near the end of the game, when I finally got people to trust me and vote to give me a clue, I'd make up a huge big story and draw all the attention to myself. Can't believe it didn't work. Shucks. I am not so vain, Fred, to think that I will make you admit that you are the original demon, but that's what I think. I have presented my facts, and the others may take them or leave them as they wish. All you say is "no, no, no" but do little to even begin the search for another demon, except against me, your accuser. You have no evidence for it. You are right. My argument is based in a faith in Chris, confirmed to me, but not to anyone else. If my argument is to be taken, the others will have to have faith that I would not do something this dumb if I was a demon. It is all on faith, so it is up to each individual member of the tour group to decide what they think. I have presented my findings as honestly as possible. In the first puddle of blood, I found dark blue fabric, by the way.
Shadows Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 The people who nominated her for the group clue yesterday are: Tony, Diana (Try not to make it so obvious ), and Sheldon (). Doesn't matter, had sex. Seriously, I just voted for her for the sex and because I have absolutely no idea who is what except for me, which makes the sex more exciting and stuff. Did I mention the sex? 1) Your gem was thrown into the water by Chris, along with Diana's and Sheldon's. One glowed green (good), and two glowed red (demons). This was between Chapters 5 and 6, so we didn't know what that meant yet. Yesterday, the monk told us that red meant good, and green meant bad. I really need to pay more attention, I don't even remember this. Besides, Sheldon would probably lead us in the charge of figuring out that the puddles meant conversions if he was a demon, where as he appeared clueless. I've been asking for a clue for a while, but nothing. Oh, you mean... well, that too. I also suggest that today, when we nominate the group to receive clues from the monk, we nominate Chris, myself, and let's say, Sheldon. That way we could clear all of us, OR, Chris and I would know for a fact that Sheldon is a demon, which would in turn clear both Diana and Signourney. I think that's a plan everyone can get on board with. Or I would know for a fact that you and Chris were demons. Since I know I'm not one, anything indicating one in the group would point at either of you. As for the challenge, am I the only one uncertain if the antenna is transparent blue or solid? I'd like to be sure what I'm looking at before I start the timer. NOTE! Oh, and one more thing ... someone needs to contact me so we can coordinate. Seriously. If you were told what I was told, it seems like a good idea.
CorneliusMurdock Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 1. You got me! I'm a demon. 2. I've been sitting back quietly, but you're right, I felt like right near the end of the game, when I finally got people to trust me and vote to give me a clue, I'd make up a huge big story and draw all the attention to myself. Can't believe it didn't work. Shucks. 3. 4. 5. In the first puddle of blood, I found dark blue fabric, by the way. I've numbered the paragraphs so I don't have to break up the quote to respond. So time consuming. 1. Admitting that you have a problem is the first step to recovery. So kudos for taking that first step. 2. Yes. Sitting back quietly avoiding detection and not really helping. Could be that you didn't think that'd work anymore so you tried a new strategy. 3. What do you mean I've done nothing? From the very beginning of this ordeal I've been zealously searching for clues. I've done nothing but search for the demon while you were no where to be found. When you did grace us with your presence, you put forth the theory that the demon had to be among those who were active which, surprise, was not a group you were currently a part of. Suddenly, I'm the one who has done nothing. 4. What, you'd never do something dumb if you were a demon? I'm sure everyone would like to think that they'd never do something dumb. But your strategy isn't dumb. You've constructed a very sturdy house of cards. I just don't believe it, because I have the knowledge that I'm not a demon so I know you're conclusion is wrong. 5. That doesn't jive with your theory. The first puddle was here when we arrived in this room. Wouldn't it have belonged to the original demon? So unless I'm wearing dark blue underwear, that can't be me. Let's look at your "vision" some more. Willoughby just happens to show up and tell you a clue that directly points to me and only me? Almost every other clue that's been recieved has been like a giant game of "Guess Who?". All of a sudden you get this miracle game-breaking clue? It also contradicts the original vision of Willoughby's death. Was that first one that we all saw wrong? If only guests were on that list, why did the demon kill Willoughby and steal the list?
Hinckley Posted March 29, 2012 Author Posted March 29, 2012 As for the challenge, am I the only one uncertain if the antenna is transparent blue or solid? I'd lik *It is solid blue.* *There is a scuffle. Un-phased, Fred throws Tony handily into the pool.*
