hello from Tulsa, OK! i've been a member here for a while, but never posted... just enjoyed all the info and ambition of the folks on this site. it has inspired me to get a collection of my own running again.

fast forward--> I now have a large collection of technic and larger modular/sculpture structures. I haven't quite got all the terms down yet... nor have i spent time in doing a MOC at this point... just collecting sets and parts for now.

The information here is phenomenal! I wish i had access to the endless pieces as i like the idea of building big!! i have interest in creating a large scale crawler crane, and a "heavy haulage" tractor/trailer. i hope that the tips and tricks i've learned here will help me get moving on these plans!!

It is great to see so many LEGO fans out there!!

Oliver

HA! Greetings to a fellow Tulsan. I mostly build castle and pirates personally. I had a decent MOC snow-brig (sailing ship) built but when on vacation a year ago one of my cats knocked it off the shelf. That just means I get a chance to rebuild it better, right? At the moment I don't have any ongoing MOCs, but I have some ideas. I just need the time, haha.

I'm from Tulsa, too. Lot of us popping up recently.

The terminology's funny. I thought I'd never get it down, and didn't realize I had started thinking in the terms when I tried to describe or evaluate pictures.

I usually just build in LDD, though. Money's too tight to build everything I want to all at once right now.

I am heading to Florida in a few months (honeymoon cruise, and my cousin is getting married). While I'm there I am going to hit up LEGLOAND even though it's 3 hours from where I will be staying. It think it will be worth it, though.

I'm currently in FL on business. In Miami to be exact. I was excited to find 2 LEGO stores in the neighborhood! The one at Sawgrass shopping complex is massive and very well stocked! The location at Aventura Mall was also very nice, but not near as big, or stocked.

The TRU's in the area are mostly pretty rough... not a lot of stock, especially in the Technic line. There was one in Coral Springs that was new and nice though!

Don't forget to stop by the Lego Store in OK City and hit PaB wall.

I was actually at the OKC store grand opening. My fiance and I got there early in the morning and were in the first group of people inside so I got the limited edition cowboy set as well as the commemorative brick. It was pretty cool to see how many people were there to support the store.

Ha! I was at OKC too. The line was huge and a lot longer than my friends expected, since they aren't as into LEGO, I think they were expecting 12 guys out front or something. I think it was a couple hours before we got in, but I don't remember it well now. All I know is that trip is where I got my AGENTS 2.0 sets and a pick-a-brick cup with a ton of trans-green 1x1 tiles in it.

Hello, I am a fellow Tulsan. I stumbled upon this forum and thought I would join. I would love to meet any Tulsa AFOL and talk, maybe share collections or places to find great deals. I am mainly a town and modular fan. I would love to hear from any of you.

Hi Oliver, and welcome to the Eurobricks community. :classic:

Brand new to the AFOL world. My boys and I just built a 6x8 lego table and are setting up our larger modular buildings which we've been collecting for a year now. We also have a train track running around it all. We've watched a bunch of Alex Nunes videos on youtube and are basically modeling it after his so we can learn how to lay things out. My question is... Does anyone have a set up like this that we can come see?
