February 26, 20169 yr OK, so I bought a bag of Lego from a thrift store last night. It had a whole mess of teal (!! ) and these two pieces. I've since identified the trans piece as Lego, but what's the blue hinge piece? It says Lego, so I assume it's authentic, plus there were no 3rd party bricks in bag. Any help? Edit: Forgot pic! February 26, 20169 yr the blue hinge is an 80s car jack, http://brickset.com/sets/1497-1/Pitstop-and-Crew
February 27, 20169 yr Hi I bought a big box of Lego that came with no instructions. I'm working my way through identifying sets from rare parts. For the parts shown, I can't find a number of it that would enable me to do a search on Bricklink. For the assemblies, they may be the last owner's design but I suspect some are from sets Thanks for any help. Larger res image available on my Brickshelf page if needed. Lightning piece - Unique surely - but even googling I can't find the transfer number The cart - I thought looked like a Castle one I had as a kid but the yellow round bits don't fit. There is some old castle in the box as there are a couple of red Crusaders in there. The blue technic assembly - I think there is a small blue technic set in the box http://www.brickshel...x/parts-lrg.jpg Edited February 27, 20169 yr by GovBroadsword
February 27, 20169 yr The "lightning piece" is from http://brickset.com/sets/6671-1/Utility-Repair-Lift I've that once since I was kid :)
February 27, 20169 yr Many thanks - and what a lovely little set! I'll try to find all the bits this afternoon

March 1, 20169 yr Hello, I still got problem with figuring out that color. It is not medium blue, because I found finally medium blue to compare and it is different. Here is the photo, doors are medium blue, and other bricks are: Blue ??? Medium Blue | Medium Azure
March 1, 20169 yr Known colours on BL for 1x2 brick are: http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?id=280#T=C Blue, blue-violet, bright light blue, dark azure, dark blue, light aqua, maersk blue, medium azure, medium blue, sand blue. If the bottom right is medium azure, then the 1x2 brick is probably dark azure.
March 1, 20169 yr Thx! I crossed out colors which i am 100% sure it is not that color Blue, blue-violet, bright light blue, dark azure, dark blue, light aqua, maersk blue, medium azure, medium blue, sand blue So I think you are right - dark azure, because it is to light to be dark blue. I am almost sure it is not maersk blue and almost sure it is not sand blue.

Medium Blue | Medium Azure If the bottom left 1x1 is Medium Blue then that door is Medium Blue. It's the same color, even loaded it into my photo editor just in case I'm color blind, the only difference in color between the door and the bottom left 1x1 brick is from the shadow caused by those bricks being on top. Here i copied a circle from the door to the 1x1 brick, aside from the shadow it's identical. Edited March 1, 20169 yr by BirdOPrey5
March 1, 20169 yr Of course, I wrote that in my post ;) The question is about brick 1x2 in the middle. On 3/1/2016 at 8:58 AM, Kalais said: doors are medium blue, and other bricks are: Blue ??? Medium Blue | Medium Azure

Mærsk Blue is basically Medium Blue with a hint of green. Dark Blue is way darker, Sand Blue totally desaturated in comparison to other shades of blue. For reference the left third of this image is quite helpful to define colours if you lack bricks or experience.
March 1, 20169 yr Thx! P.S. This image is kinda useless w/o names of the colors tho. I clicked link in photo's desc but it is some spam site with no LEGO at all.
March 1, 20169 yr ^Looks like you got your answer, if you're still looking for one here is a link to a nice color chart on Swooshable.
March 2, 20169 yr That must be indeed dark azure. There is also a rare weird shade of blue not precisely identified: but that one is closer to regular blue (that I posted earlier in this thread, and it was backlinked from that page)
