crowe-k Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 I know C is Lego, I just thought it was cool to remember how those translucent pieces used to come- I haven't had to seen a set where I needed to detach them since my childhood. Does anyone know if A, B, and/or D are Lego pieces? None of them have any markings I can see. B has a broken leaf, that's why it's not in the right place, it's hanging on by a small thread of plastic. Can someone identify the first piece under "C"? I have a pile of white ones but no idea what set they are for. Thank you. Quote
alois Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 It was meant to be thrown away. It is the moulding thingy on which the 1x1 round plates came in those days. Quote
jFox Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 My guess would be: Vehicle, Tipper End Flat with Pins (BL 3145) http://www.bricklink...Item.asp?P=3145 There is a very similar part to the one that Vincent posted - without those pins: Vehicle, Tipper End Flat without Pins I guess thats the one you are looking for. That seems like the one, thanks to both Rolli and Vincent! Quote
Bennemans Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Anybody got a clue? Because I sure don't... Quote
fred67 Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Are you sure it's LEGO? The inside of the brick does not quite look like LEGO. Plus, I did a catalog search at bricklink... go to this page to get a listing of all known decorated bricks, then search for "ice cream" or "cone," and you get very few results... none matching that picture. If it is LEGO, it may just be someone put a non-LEGO sticker on it. I believe that, in a few years, we'll have a lot more questions like this as people modify their LEGO, make their own stickers, their own custom figures... Quote
Bennemans Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Are you sure it's LEGO? The inside of the brick does not quite look like LEGO. Yes it's LEGO… loads of my 1x4's are like that on the bottom, so I don't get why it shouldn't be. (plus, the LEGO marks on the studs kinda give it away , but hey, that's not visible on the pic) Plus, I did a catalog search at bricklink... go to this page to get a listing of all known decorated bricks, then search for "ice cream" or "cone," and you get very few results... none matching that picture. If it is LEGO, it may just be someone put a non-LEGO sticker on it. Of course I've done a BL search; if it was that easy to find I wouldn't have any need to ask it in the forums, now would I? It could be somebody put a non-LEGO sticker on a brick… it was in a batch of late 70's - early 80's bricks; all original. But there was another piece that had a sticker on it that it shouldn't have; that was an original LEGO sticker though, just misplaced. That's why I feel like this should be a LEGO sticker too… Quote
fred67 Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 (edited) Well... we don't know your bricklink proficiency. A lot of users here have never even used bricklink, and even those that have often have a hard time finding things in the catalog (even sellers with high feedback post part ID requests on bricklink). Speaking of which, did you ask in the forums there? How about this? Edited September 5, 2014 by fred67 Quote
Bennemans Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 How about this? THAT'S IT! Great, thanks! I completely forgot about the sticker sheets that came in idea books! Well... we don't know your bricklink proficiency. A lot of users here have never even used bricklink, and even those that have often have a hard time finding things in the catalog (even sellers with high feedback post part ID requests on brick link). Speaking of which, did you ask in the forums there? Fair enough. It can be hard to find a piece you have no clue about, and your assumptions might take you way off course in your search. A basic brick with a sticker on it shouldn't be too hard to figure out though . Felt like an idiot for not being able to identify it I didn't ask in the BL forums, I'm not active there; I love this community right here Quote
Rick Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 It's applied to a car door in the Idea Book itself. Quote
ElCrab Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 I don't have a pic, but in "The LEGO Movie" during the Emmet intro, at the construction site, someone says "I need a 1x2 keyhole" but I can never see the brick. What is a 1x2 keyhole? Quote
ElCrab Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 That would make sense, and I'm surprised I never thought of that one. Thanks! Quote
Coolidge Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Hey new here and was curious about the minifig head any help is greatly appreciated! Quote
Rolli Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Hey new here and was curious about the minifig head any help is greatly appreciated! It is this head out of these sets. Last seen in 2005. If you need to find other heads similar to this one in the future the fastest method would be searching for heads in yellow and combining that with the keyword "beard" over on bricklink. Quote
klinton Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 (edited) This seems like the right thread? I was wondering if anyone here knew where to find clear supports for planes and/or spacecraft? Where you could mount the ship on it 'in flight' and attatch it to a plate or something? Is this something LEGO makes (there were a bunch shown in the film, so I'm assuming so...) or is it third party? EDIT: This is exactly the sort of thing I'm looking for. Brickcetra Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 (edited) The clear parts are custom made for display purpose only. There is no after market source that I know of. Most of us have to resort to using transparent clear elements (panels, brick without bottom tube, round bricks etc). You might want to check with a clear plastics manufacturer if they can custom make display pieces for you. Edited September 11, 2014 by Brickcetra Quote

Yzalirk Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Can anyone tell me what the torso and legs could possibly be in this picture? Quote
Peppermint_M Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 The legs look like they are from the Kingdoms Dragon Knights and the torso looks like it may be a Vladek soldier from Knight's Kingdom II. Quote
unclejeffie Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Not really a set... https://imageshack.com/i/exaBTLJej Found these at the flea market, but can't seem to find the components list of 1050 and 1076 anywhere online, seems pretty rare. Anyone got any idea? Quote

unclejeffie Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Nope, that's a shame. But if they were sealed i wouldn't open them up ;) Not bad for 20 euros.. Quote
Master_Data Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 (edited) I have a Freestyle set 1846. It does not seem to appear much on the internet- no solid information on ebay, brickset, brickpicker, lego.com, rebrickable, brickowl... There are hardly any pictures of it on the internet! Does anyone have any information regarding the original availability of the set? Brickset had said "retail-limited," but that was about it. EDIT: It's sealed.
