Master_Data Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Bricklink I will quote what I said, bolding the parts which need clarification: I have a Freestyle set 1846. It does not seem to appear much on the internet- no solid information on ebay, brickset, brickpicker, lego.com, rebrickable, brickowl... There are hardly any pictures of it on the internet! Does anyone have any information regarding the original availability of the set? Brickset had said "retail-limited," but that was about it. Quote
tkatt Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Is this it? According to Peeron it was $2 in 1996. http://en.brickimedia.org/wiki/FreeStyle http://en.brickimedia.org/wiki/1846_Freestyle_Set http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/1846-1 Quote
Peppermint_M Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 It also looks like one of the sets that was in Happy Meal boxes at some point, but I may be wrong. Quote

Master_Data Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 (edited) I'm sorry, I thought your intention was to find out how much this set is worth. That's alright. Sorry if I came off a bit harsh! Is this it? According to Peeron it was $2 in 1996. http://en.brickimedi.../wiki/FreeStyle http://en.brickimedi...6_Freestyle_Set http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/1846-1 That is it, but those sites have very little information as to when and where it was released and how popular it was as a set. Thank you though. It also looks like one of the sets that was in Happy Meal boxes at some point, but I may be wrong. Thank you. Do you know for how long it was available and in which countries? Also, how popular was it as a set? Edited October 3, 2014 by Master_Data Quote
Peppermint_M Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Looks like I mis-remembered These were the ones. Quote
ElCrab Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 (edited) I'd appreciate a little help, as my efforts via Brickset.com and various other methods have failed me. I've uploaded a screenshot from the The LEGO Movie, when the prospector asks the cowboy about investing in zeppelins. There are 3 pieces that I can't find, either in the color portrayed in the movie or just in any form. I've put an arrow and a number next to each piece in the uploaded picture, but they were the tall cowboy hat (like a 10 gallon hat), the short beard in brown, and the large round smooth table top with 4 studs in the middle. Purportedly, most every piece rendered was an existing piece, or would be (in the case of the molds for the unique minifigs for the TLM sets, but the prospector hat didn't exist (I don't believe) until the new CMF series came out. So I'm wondering if some of these pieces are the same in that regard. I have seen short beards in other colors, mainly white, but I can't seem to find it in brown or black. And the other two, the 10-gallon hat and the large round table top, I haven't been able to locate anywhere through my searches. Appreciate the help! Edited October 13, 2014 by ElCrab Quote
Lind Whisperer Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 (edited) Beard. (Not available in that color) Tabletop. (I'd need more reference images to try and determine the correct color, but this is the part.) The ten-gallon hat does not seem to be an existing part concurrently. ElCrab Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 Thank you kindly! It's a shame that hat doesn't exist, but hopefully that'll change with the next Western sets (whenever that may be). Quote
antp Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 isn't that http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=13565 ? Quote
ElCrab Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 Nope, the crown on that one is lower than the one in the screenshot. Quote
antp Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 The difference is subtle; do not forget that the movie is just a CGI rendition of Lego parts, for special ones like that they may differ a little Quote
ElCrab Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 (edited) The difference is subtle; do not forget that the movie is just a CGI rendition of Lego parts, for special ones like that they may differ a little It's definitely a different "mold" than the hat available on Bricklink (of which I have quite a few). This image should show the difference. Much taller crown and much wider brim than any other LEGO cowboy hat available. Alas, it appears the difference does not appear in actual LEGO form anywhere. The prospector hat didn't exist until after the CMF series, so perhaps this hat will appear eventually as well. Thanks for the help. Edited October 16, 2014 by ElCrab Quote
helpplz Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Hello everyone, I hope I have found the right place to my question. I need help identifying pieces in this construction and also help constructing this. A year ago I was in a motor vehicle accident and broke my neck. I lost the use of my fingers and below my chest making playing video games extremely difficult. Adaptive controllers are extremely expensive and do not provide many options that are suited for what I need. The controller is made with Lego pieces making this design probably be the cheapest. However he provides no piece list or how to construct it. Hopefully some of the experts here can help me the video as follows: Quote
Faefrost Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 The clear parts are custom made for display purpose only. There is no after market source that I know of. Most of us have to resort to using transparent clear elements (panels, brick without bottom tube, round bricks etc). You might want to check with a clear plastics manufacturer if they can custom make display pieces for you. Not entirely true. There are an assortment of clear universal flight display stands for plastic models. That's what those are. http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljlist?GenreCode2=all&Word=Display+stand&x=-637&y=-128 There are some. This is a good universal type that can be used for Lego stuff http://www.hlj.com/product/LFTFP-400/Sup Quote

That looks to be made principally from Lego Technic parts. And looks fairly simple and common. I'm not an expert in Technic but I suspect if you cross post this over into the Technic and Mindstorms forum the real engineering Genius's over there could probably work it out in minutes. It really is a brilliant solution to the expensive adjustable modified game controllers. Have you inquired if the designer is willing to share his plans? ( granted he may have just free built it.) marcello_minestrone Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 (edited) Hello everybody, I have a lego part I cannot identify, it seems to belong to Action Wheelers series, but I cannot find it in any Internet inventory. It has number 3433 and is powered with 3 AAA cells, however, I cannot notice any action when on. Perhaps it requires another brick to operate. Can any one help me? thanks in advance Edited October 21, 2014 by marcello_minestrone Quote
Slegengr Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 You seem to have a Duplo Toolo intelligent brick. Quote
