I didn't know it existed, sad that they don't make it any more, as it looks better than the other solutions used in official sets for the camera lenses

I think I probably threw several away before I realized they were LEGO parts. They can be used to connect parts stud-to-stud.

sorting a lot of late 70's / early to mid 80's minifigs i encountered two problems with parts i can't find information on:

first, there was a bunch of old style hollow torsos with (on first sight) the expected pale yellow hands of the time. the surprise came when i took the hands out. according to the information i can get, all the pale yellow hands should have a notch on the arm part, which was also present on some of the earliest plain yellow hands of the early 80's (see e.g. here). now about 25% of the hands i found in the lot (middle in the picture) have exactly the straight shape of the later version (right in the picture) and exactly the color of the old ones with notch (left in the picture). has anyone any idea what goes on here?

second, i found 3(!) exemplars of a hat looking exactly like the forestmen hats (bricklink) which according to my knowledge were only produced in brown and green. but mine are red (see pictures). they seem genuine (lego logo on the inside, normal shade of red, right feel of the material). who misses what here?

any help with these is much appreciated

(apologies for the low quality pictures, i shall try to make better ones…)

Can't identify the part in this upcoming set, at the very front, right behind the gear knob, like 2 parts with a curve, could this be a new ones? If not, I have no idea which one it is.

Apologies for the poor-contrast image... can anybody identify these spiky, sawtooth pieces? They seem to connect with the dinosaur tail pieces but I can't find them anywhere!

I bought some (mostly) vintage parts this weekend:

All decorations are prints. I'd like to know what set the following parts came in (or just the element ID):

  1. blue 1x4 with stars
  2. black 2x2 tiles with animal blueprints
  3. white 2x2 with hospital cross
  4. black 1x2 with futuristic display
  5. yellow 1x2 with faded arrow
  6. yellow 1x2, 2x2, with "X-RAY" and "SHOP"
  7. yellow 1x4 with mysterious signs
  8. black 2x2 with "4"
  9. white racer torso
  10. grey legs with blue and yellow print
  11. black legs with green belt and upper leg armour

It isn't in all of the photos... it must be optional

It is quite likely either a bent hose or a whip piece. Not sure that there's a tail(ish) part that long and thin.
