I bought a bulk lot off of craigslist and I have come across a head I can not identify. It is light gray, or perhaps light blay, I can't really tell. I thought it was Peeves from HP, but there is actually one in the lot and it is not him. I have looked through Bricklink and have not found it. Thanks in advance for the help.

I did a little research and it turns out you were right the first time. This is Peeves from Harry Potter it's just an alternate version of it's head. I think it's rarer than the normal head. Also, there is no entry for it on Bricklink. No wonder you couldn't find it! ;) Someone should make one.

It made me think to http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/6234 but it is far from that.

Maybe it would help to know the size of that door (in brick units).

You're right the designs on that door are nothing like the ones on mine. My door has a length of 6 studs and a hieght of seven studs. Does this help any? If you would like, I could send a picture of it placed by some bricks.

This might not be the right place to ask this but it is piece related.

Is there a site or a program where you could enter the set numbers that you have and know are complete and it would compare pieces and give you a list of other sets that you have all the required pieces to build?

Does the door have any markings on it identifying it with TLG? (LEGO name and part number) And what sort of plastic does it feel like? It sort of reminds me of a MegaBloks dollhouse door I saw once.

Hello!

Sorry for the slight derailing of the topic, but this one was the most relevant for a question about parts.

I just received a yellow 'Minifig Vest' 3840 from BL. It's brigther and much softer than regular old-yellow ABS bricks. Were all of these made of this softer plastic, or is it an off-brand replacement?

thank you,

They are missing quite a lot of classic sets, but it just does what you need. Cross your fingers to have their database growing:

http://rebrickable.com/pick_set

(It imported some 30ish sets from my 130is Brickset export file.)

Sorry I missed this original question - its exactly what my site rebrickable.com does. I am adding more sets and mocs all the time, so if you try re-importing your brickset file after each update you should be able to get more sets.

Not sure if troll

Did lego ever make a new rat mold for 2011/2012? I was thinking they would because there is a new dog and a few other remakes.

Well, I don't think there have been any rats in this year's sets, so a remake would probably depend on the rat appearing again.

There was a new rat (50687) in 2004's Harry Potter sets, standing upright instead of on the ground. But it's not printed or anything.

What other remakes are you referring to? The dog's the only explicit remake I can think of. Other than that there are only brand-new animals like the goats and chickens from Kingdoms (although I guess the chickens arguably appeared in sets before, only brickbuilt).

Not sure if it's new or not, but Mrs. Norris in 4842. That could be a print he was referring to.

Got this part, in a mixed bag off ebay...

have not been able to ID after 20mins browsing bricklink!

IMG_0058.JPG

It almost looks like it's a sub-part, of a larger piece?

the axle-hole at the end has cross notches inside, so an axle can't spin freely.

The tabby things on either side look like something would clip into them... and the bump almost looks like it would accommodate a wheel - like a mudguard!

Has Lego printed on the inside, and the only numbers are '1 01' underneath 'Lego'
