And sand purple hasn't been made for the last 17 years. So I'd start playing the lottery instead of hoping for a sand purple head in the future.

I finally got Benny’s Space Squad and was dying to make these - I present my monospacefigs ? not quite perfect (light gray tanks instead of LBG), and I’d like to source some helmets that are the same across all colours, but I still love them.

Hi all,

I've only just come across this topic! I started collecting monochrome figs about 3 months ago. Last week I got the latest batch of parts, which has got me up to 34, with 8 more (that I'm aware of) still able to be completed.

With having so many, I also decided to build myself a modular display case for them:

One thing I'm curious about, I didn't have Yellowish Green legs on my list as being available, until I saw this thread. Looking for them on BL, it seems that BL list that minifig as having dual-moulded legs, and the Yellowish Green ones simply don't seem to be available on BL. Anyone know what's going on there?

Oh and is anyone else excited for the possibility of Vibrant Coral monochromes?

The hips and legs from Doctor Phosphorus are blue hips and yellowish green legs - the legs aren’t dual moulded and you can wipe all of the blue off. Hands are available from a few other minifigures, so it’s just the hips missing to complete this monochrome colour.

Not sure where it says they’re dual moulded “Blue Hips and Yellowish Green Legs”. Dual moulded legs cut off a bit below the bottom of the hip part between the legs, whereas these ones are pretty much in line with that point. I have physically wiped a pair and I can tell you it was the worst pair of legs I’ve ever wiped, but they are in fact pure single coloured legs with a whole lot of printing!

Hmm you're right, it doesn't. I guess I just thought that from looking at the photo, where the blue goes right to the edge of the legs on all sides - I've never seen printing that good before, so assumed they were dual-moulded. Especially when on the official 'set image', the printing clearly doesn't go right to the edges.

Yep quite deceiving sometimes, especially with the level and detail of printing these days. I’ve done a lot of research and hunting to complete my collection and learned a few tricks along the way. You have some nice rarer ones too. Light Aqua arms and Medium Lavender legs aren’t exactly common. If you’re going for Magenta (and you should it’s a great looking one) make the hips and legs seperately instead of paying a fortune for them combined.

If ever a complete monochrome figure will exist in the new color, my estimation is it won't be soon. Something around 2021-ish.

For now it's just 13 parts.

Mission impossible (unless there are new recolors).

The lbg and the green one is not (yet?) available in the ID 50665. And that is another ID than the old 9842a

I only need the torso for Magenta. I paid about $8 for the hips and legs.

I have parts on order to complete the Bright Pink and Dark Orange figs (and I've ordered the Chrome Red keyring), and just need the following for the remaining ones:

Old Brown hands
Flesh hips and legs
Old Light Grey torso, arms and hands
Magenta torso
Medium Azure head
 

Oh and I've noticed today that Lavender hips are available in the Lego Movie 2 CMF series.

Am I right in thinking that the Tin Man CMF has Flat Silver hands? :)

Also, does the Scarecrow use a Bright Light Yellow head?

Too bad there are no chrome red Hands - the keyring figure Comes with 'normal' red.

The legs from the Crayon Girl are dual molded with blue.

Both coral parts are dual molded: The torso is plain coral, but the arms are not (with yellow). So are the legs (with light aqua?).

Scarecrow's head looks tan to me.  

I can't really tell from the photo, so I'm not sure what Tin Man's Hands are. I bet they are dbg.

Yeah looking at the official pics I think they are DBG.

Shame if it is Tan.

Yeah the legs and arms are dual moulded, but the torso and hips aren't, which is a start!

Sadly time to give up on this one, I was hoping there was some printed head I had missed.

The dual molded vs printed boots is a pain at BL. People have asked for a distinction to be made between these for a while now, but still no action has been taken.

Finally i can buy plain torso in medium lavender. (the lego movie 2 cmf- crayon girl) If i am not mistaken it is for the first time lego releases plain torso medium lavender. I don’t know by heart if there are legs in medium pavender, i remember only short legs in this color. I am still avoiding brasso big time, it is a slow process collecting all the official parts without using brasso, but i am very patient. I think in 20 years i will collect all monofigs in colors  you guys have right now. ? ?

What a nice display you have. It is nice to see such a big monofigs collection, i only have 11, still many to collect. Is there a list how many monofigs exist? And is there maybe a separate list of pure monofigs without using brasso?

There isn't an official list or anything, but I've made a spreadsheet of all the parts of all the different colours that are available, and I'm slowly ticking them all off. From that, I reckon there's a total of 41 currently able to be completed.

Without removing prints is a different thing entirely, as it is possible to get torsos etc which haven't been printed, but which only come in sets as printed. In other words, they're very likely from a factory before they've been printed. None of the minifigs in the image I posted have had printing removed.

Mmmmh, that is indeed a good idea. I might work on this - whenever I have time for it.

Who will pass the finishing line first? You with collecting or me with working on that list?

WOW 41! That is a lot. I think my first goal is to collect as many as you have in your display. Where did you get some torsos without prints? or did you just turn them around?

Well the other day I ordered all the remaining parts I need to complete the rest. The only exception is the Chrome Gold hands I need to finish that (keyring) figure. But they are very rare.

Some sellers on Bricklink have some torsos etc that aren't printed. Sure you'll pay more for them, but there y'go. This is not a cheap subsection of our hobby!

I'll see about making the spreadsheet into some kind of format which is easy for others to use.

I did think about your preference for plain pieces and yes you can do medium lavender finally. Legs are only available from Batzarro and can be reasonably priced if you shop around and be patient.

I have been thinking about making a website or something with hints and lists of all the colours and parts to easily obtain them. It will be a big job though and I haven’t done this kind of thing in a long time, I wouldn’t even know where to host a site anymore! I’ve also ordered some Light Flesh hips which appear genuine so it will be interesting to see them in the flesh.

Yeah the ebook by monofigs, I took screenshots when it was free and it was actually really useful for when I was a newbie.

Grrrr yes, I remember when it was free, and I naïvely thought it would always be. Wish I had also taken screenshots. It was also just really nice to look at.
