benny Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 (edited) KTT (Chinese: 九廣通)[1]) is a train set used by the MTR Corporation Limited in Hong Kong on the cross-boundary service to Guangdong route. The KTT is not the only service from Hong Kong to China, Guangdong service is also provided by the mainland Chinese railway operators.[2] The double-deck "KTT" trailers have lower bottom floor than the ordinary cars serving on the same pair of tracks. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KTT_(railway) KTT is used on the Guangdong Line (Hung Hom (Kowloon), Hong Kong - Dongguan - Guangzhou East) of the through train service. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Superb/Ktt/pic_view.jpg Between January to May 1998 the KTT cars provided service between Hung Hom and Lo Wu stations. After the whole route was electrified, the KTT serves non-stop between Hung Hom Station and Guangzhou East railway station. Although the train model has a top speed of 230 km/h (143 mph), KTT only runs at a maximum speed of 160 km/h (99 mph). Under normal demand, KTT has seven compartments (five first-class compartments and two executive-class compartments). However, during peak season, the train sets are expanded to eight compartments. To make this railway, i gave up the Dark Turquoise or Maersk Blue color as the cost is very higher. Thye are also lacking in stock in hong kong. I used the middle blue to replace it but the effect is nice too. It is not ease to collect the trans-blue window panel parts, i ordered them from Germany and USA. Its work is look like the real railway to buy the parts from foreign countries. Inside the compartments, they include the guest car, restaurant, toilet and storage room. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Superb/Ktt/ktt1.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Superb/Ktt/ktt4.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Superb/Ktt/ktt2.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Superb/Ktt/ktt7.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Superb/Ktt/ktt3.jpg Edited March 30, 2012 by benny Quote
