Paul B Technic Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Hi all, I have done a search but could not find anything about this. Has anybody else found with the rear crane, when turning it "sticks" at some points and needs to be manually moved? this seems to be a problem more often when it has something in the claw (even something like a pen) Any suggestions? Omikron Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 (edited) The crane stops when the pneumatic hose create too much resistance. I mean You can't turn the crane because all pneumatics(under the air pump pressure) go through the turntable and overturn at some point Edited April 2, 2012 by Omikron Quote
Paul B Technic Posted April 2, 2012 Author Posted April 2, 2012 Problem fixed :) I replaced the white clutch gear with a normal gear of the same size and it works much better. Quote
Paul B Technic Posted April 2, 2012 Author Posted April 2, 2012 Here are some photos of the mod :) I removed this part: And replaced it with this part: Here: Now it works much better and does not stall as it is turning. I just need to be careful when turning I don't let it hyper extend. Paul Quote
Siegfried Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Now it works much better and does not stall as it is turning. I just need to be careful when turning I don't let it hyper extend. I'm surprised this was needed. Mine works OK as is. Quote
Paul B Technic Posted April 4, 2012 Author Posted April 4, 2012 I'm surprised this was needed. Mine works OK as is. I am too but basically as soon as you put anything in the claw, even a pen it would not turn at some points. I might strip it down over the holidays and see what else it could be. Paul Quote
