Results of Round Four of the Ancient Dragon Battle:

Knifk vs. Ancient Dragon - Special [Lightning Breath]

The battle against the Ancient Dragon continued. Knifk charged at the dragon but received its lightning breath for his trobules. Knifk's shield absorbed the damage but the spark arced and caused Hybros 2 damage. They both felt a rush of energy and hastened to deliver their next attack. Hybros' knife connected into the dragon, dealing 20 damage. The dragon was still shifting to avoid the thrown dagger which caused Guts' to miss his attack. Johon got in a shouting contest with the dragon to distract it so Elgar could drink a potion in peace and recover 10 hp. The dragon breathed heavily as the poison continued to bother it, dealing 21 damage (10 + 10 +1). Knifk's hand was burned by the still heated shield causing 1 damage.

OoC: What are you trying to say? I can't attack from the front row. The fear effect keeps me from doing that. No one spent 10 ether to counteract that.

Singerson gathered the courage to speak again. "We are under the effect of it's fear aura and I don't see a mage in this group. Each of you seem to have a magic weapon of some sort. If you can hit the dragon five times with any gem enhanced weapon than that should disrupt it's aura of fear, and then you all can draw near!"

The battle against the Ancient Dragon continued. Knifk charged the dragon once again, scoring a hit to deal 21 damage. In his retreat though, Knifk was struck by the dragon's claw, blocking at the last minute to receive 14 damage. Hybros fed a potion to Johon, and in his distraction was hit by the dragon's fiery breath, dealing 3 damage to Hybros, Guts and Elgar and igniting them for two more rounds. The dragon was not finished and as Guts attacked, the dragon let loose another lightning breath attack, dealing 2 damage to Guts and 2 Damage to Johon but energizing them with a feeling of haste. In Johon's anger he but extra weight behind his attack to deal an extra critical strike for 35 damage and decaying some of the dragon's scales. The Ancient Dragon stretched it's neck to reach Elgar to bite him for 10 damage, knocking him out. The dragon shook its head, trying to focus while the poison continued, dealing 21 damage (10 + 10 +1). Knifk's hand was burned by his still heated shield, causing 1 damage, but the heat had now dissipated.

The dragon stretched it's wings to loosen them up. Singerson took note and said "The dragon is spreading its wings. It might soon be preparing to depart...or preparing a new attack..."

I jump onto the dragons leg and swing my meteor blade at it. Then I jump onto the back of the dragon and stab my meteor blade into the beast's back.

Hybros braced himself against the fiery breath of the dragon. His raggedy tunic caught on fire, and he patted at it furiously to try to put it out. At least his potion didn't go to waste, and thanks to Alf the dragon was now in full decay. He quickly tried to throw his Throwing Knife again from the back row.

The battle was taking a turn for the worse. One member down, and another close to the same fate. He hoped the dragon's opening wings signaled its departure, or else the party would have a hard time defeating it.
