Just a little out-of character info: Ivy and I will be gone most of tomorrow, Sunday, and Monday, so.....We might be on like once or twice a day, but that's basically it. :sceptic: After that, we'll be on basically every day, almost all the time. :classic:

Awww man. :cry_sad:

Family over for Easter, can't do anything about it. :def_shrug:

At the risk of sounding like a complete sociopath, friends come before family, with the SOLE exception of spouse and kids. (Then again, my family is more than a little dysfunctional, which might affect my opinion on the subject. :def_shrug: )

Also, the fact that I hate Easter with a firey passion may be another reason.

I have plans for Saturday and Sunday too, but I don't think they'll take all day (well, maybe Sunday will). Other than that, I should be active (unless there are any unforeseeable predicaments which may arise).

All players are required to post at least once in each Day-topic, so any absences that do not affect that are allowed. If you fail to make the required one post, you will be removed from the game.

Now is everyone's chance to make that post, since Day One is up.

If you have any doubt about what to do next, please send a PM my way.

Well, one way to find out who the scum are is to have Pinocchio say each person is scum, the ones that don't make his nose longer are scum!

Ha!

Isn't the other topic supposed to be strictly in charcter discussion? Seems to be a fair number of out-of-character posts there, and I cannot exactly plead "not guilty of it."

I suppose we should keep our "out of character posts to this place." (hint, hint).

It has been a long day full of...bickering. The ladies just want to have some fun and I agree they should do it here so we can all enjoy.

Mafia is not a pure roleplaying game, so the line between in-character and out-of-character is elusive. I would prefer that during the Day topics you address each others by your rolenames and pretend to be in a fairy tale castle rather than posting on a message board, but beyond that it's everyone's own choice how deeply they play their character.

On another matter, I want to urge JaseTJ and Lord of the Fries to open their game and post something to the Day-topic. Only about 12 hours has passed, I know, but you already have a lot of catching up to do.

It seems like as soon as we have a "no editing" rule, I start making all of these ridiculous spelling mistakes. :hmpf:

Just wanted to let you all know that though I am able to get online fairly often during this Easter period, when work begins again I will not likely be this active.

To the people whose childhoods I just ruined: I'm sorry. Not! :P

To the people whose childhoods I have not yet ruined: try not to think to hard about the last part of Cindy's most recent comment. Or better yet, don't think about the last part of it at all.

This is actually a whole lot funner than I thought. I love trying to fit the role of a character I hardly know. But I agree with what palathadric said. There is a lot of explaining the game in there. I would rather have all of that in here, than clogging up the role-play topic.

It's impossible to separate role-playing from what you call 'explaining the game'. Much of what you consider explaining the game is probably playing the game, which wouldn't be allowed here, outside the day thread. Questions you have about the game are best directed to the host via PM.

Besides sucking up to the host complimenting the host for the quality of the day openings and the like, there is hardly any reason for a player to post in the discussion topic for the duration of the game. You might end up shooting yourself in the foot.

Will they be eliminated if they don't post by the end of Day 1?

Good to see you on, better now than never! I also have pretty bad allergies, and find washing your face helps alleviate some of the sneezing and itching symptoms.

In this case, since Lord of the Fries has not posted at all despite being online, and the game has only started, I think I will replace him if he doesn't show up.

The day will end once someone is convicted, so there might not be much time for him left.

I posted a comment on his profile telling him to show up. I also told him what you think you will do to him if he doesn't show up. If he doesn't show up before the day ends, he could be replaced. Do you think we should do that?

Please read what you quoted. There's your answer.

It's not your place to tell another member what to do. In this case it should be left to Sandy, the host, or the Games Moderator.

Just a suggestion. I'm not telling another member what to do.

Whereas I don't doubt your good intentions, I consider comments like the ones below more than a 'suggestion'. But whatever you want to call them, it's still not your place to make these 'suggestions'. Thanks. :classic:

Hello. I believe you are in sandy's mafia school:A bedtime story but have not been posting at all. Sandy said he might replace you if you don't show up so I suggest you go and show up for mafia school. Now.
