Governor Mister Phes Posted November 17, 2006 Governor Posted November 17, 2006 If you go by the theory that the blue coats are British naval force and the red coats are the British marines, then it that would explain perfectly why they've opted for the Imperial Soldiers. Quote
vahkimetru Posted December 23, 2006 Posted December 23, 2006 *y* I've watched it many times, as well as showed it to my Lego loving friends and cousin. They like it too. Quote
Norrington Posted December 23, 2006 Posted December 23, 2006 I was hoping the pirates would win though. :-( If the crew off the HMS Gallant (I like that name, the orion might be renamed now....) had lost, they probably ould not be telling th story of their adventure if they were captured or killed by a rouge band of merry pirates. Don't you think? also this was the story of the ships so if it was sunk, it would be pointless, plus the navy was the main carachters because you see them first in the movie and the captain was narrating. EDIT: 2 Days 'Till Christmas! OMG I'm so excited! OMG! Quote
Mazin Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 Has everyone here done a search on youtube.com for all the other lego pirate films? Yap... Here You have one pretty good computer animated stuff: Same guy made this one ( western actually but i couldn't resist to put this one too ): There is a lot of minifigure-slowmotion lego-pirate movies on youtube, mostly of poor quality, but these two are quite funny: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYXvDnmUFjY&NR ( i thought that this one is animated as i watched its first seconds :-D ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5UdqwFCnGs&NR Quote
captain hook Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 Any sequals? Like Men of War Dead Man's Chest? The Captain Quote
Norrington Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 Any sequals? Like Men of War Dead Man's Chest? The Captain Oh dear god, not again... :-P Quote
Mazin Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 Well i believe it could be made into whole series. Man O' War cartoon is good enough to be running on television. If Lego was smart they would made it into an official lego-pirates commercial-series. Kids would love this cartoon, and buy the toys after that. If You go to http://www.outside-hollywood.com/ You can find that the authors cut out an island expedition and few characters from the final scenario, but it would be actually great to see it. Also i'd love to watch pirates attacking some imperial port or some treasure-adventure. You guys have any ideas for continuations? Quote
MicVash Posted January 1, 2008 Posted January 1, 2008 If you want to see a vid with some excellent effects, voicing, and animation, check out it on youtube . It's NOT stop-animation, however, it's 3D, but very well done, the animation is smooth. This vid reminds me of my make-believe days as a kid. This is exactly how it would go down! Bluecoats v Pirates! Featuring good ol' Roger! Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted January 1, 2008 Governor Posted January 1, 2008 Thank you for the link Mr MicVash but this is a very popular film so we've already got a thread about it. I'll merge this thread with the current one in a couple of days and that will bump it to the top of the forum to bring it to the attention of all our newer members. Quote
Capn Frank Posted January 1, 2008 Posted January 1, 2008 Thanx for sharing MicVash. *y* eh... (even though L2K already posted it :-$ ) This is one of the videos shown on my myspace page. X-D P Quote
zero1312 Posted January 1, 2008 Posted January 1, 2008 Man, this movie was incredible!! *wub* It almost looked a "LEGO Pirates" game. ;-) Thanks for sharing, Micvash!!! :'-) Quote
Captain Green Hair Posted January 1, 2008 Posted January 1, 2008 Wow, that's a cool flick! *wub* The animation, the sound...great! But the ships need some work i think, the masts are too short and i don't like the way the sails are up there. Quote
Peg Leg Pascoe Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 Great movie, i hope they do more but the only thing i didn't like was the portrayed cowardliness of the pirates. Mine sure wouldn't give up that easy!! Quote
Pizzaeeta Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 I found this while searching for Lego Pirate Videos on YouTube. Quote
Joey Lock Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 Im afraid this has already been found. In past threads. Still, It does hurt to remind people of the sheer brilliance of the animation! Quote
Commodore Hornbricker Posted July 10, 2009 Posted July 10, 2009 I'd actually never seen that one before. Might be the best Pirate Lego movie I have seen. It was brillant. Thanks Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted July 10, 2009 Governor Posted July 10, 2009 Im afraid this has already been found. In past threads. Still, It does hurt to remind people of the sheer brilliance of the animation! Indeed you are correct Mister Lock, so I'll merge the two threads. This way the old thread will be bumped to the top of the forum and we can avoid having two threads. As soon as I find the first thread... Quote
Ratshot Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 That was an amazing movie. Sheer briliance. I wish it was a little longer though, but who doesn't Quote
Hound Knight Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 That was absolutely stunning. I love it! Quote
