I'd rather not have watchful eyes around at night. Horribly unromantic. If we all just stay in our beds, nobody could murder anybody. Of course, I can see quite a number of people jumping around in my bed, but as long as there's only one at a time, then the rest of you should know who it is should I be murdered in my sleep. By the way, I don't like the looks of Prince Charming. Who does he think he is anyway?

Oh, Aladdin...so chivalrous! How do you know I don't like being watched during our...special times?

Now there's a dear. By the way, I would just like to add an accusation in support of my beau. Pinnochio, you never did answer the question. If you'd give us a simple, straightforward, "yes," or "no," answer it would be a lot more practical for everyone, because we could just, literally, see the evidence. If you don't respond in the afore-mentioned manner. I will immediately toss you into my selected "bad guys" group. Beware!

Cindy, why didn't you burn her while you had the chance?

But I like my toys! Also, isn't Pinocchio a "boy"?

In all serious, though, I do not trust you any more than I trust Pinocchio. Does that mean I won't sleep with you? Heck no, that just makes it hotter! :devil_laugh: Now come on, let's go have some fun...bring the mushrooms.

I didn't notice any wooden...but then again, I didn't notice anything that would leave me to believe the opposite is true. I always kind of had the feeling that he was lying when he said he was a real boy.

You don't trust me. Ah, well, that's not a problem. Trust has to be built and if one of us turns out to be the bad person, whether guy or gal, the other one could have quite a story to tell their grandchildren...or future lovers, eh?

First off, I'm sorry that I couldn't be here any sooner. I have school urges that need to be taken care of. Care to join me anyone? (Not Prince charming.)

Ah. Well, that's probably not a good way to tell because there are a number of ways for me to be a bad guy and/or a good guy without me knowing so. For example, a bad guy could be tricking me, or I could think that I was a good guy and really be a bad guy, or think I was a bad guy and really be a good guy. See now? Plus, I believe that magic only affected me as a child, and I'm not sure it still works. I haven't told a lie in a while, so maybe it still affects me.... :sceptic:

It seems as though you are dodging the question, panicking, and making excuses. I'll keep an eye on you.

*through the door* Yes, I already thanked her for putting the Wine In Front Of Me earlier. However, she's the first person I've seen here who's tried to make concrete, in-depth accusations based on the evidence we have available (even if one of those accusations IS of me).

3. Mr. Bear. So far, all he's done is make sure we know that I can't tell a lie. That could either mean that a. (the more likely) he is not very experienced in these types of situations, or b. he is trying to get me lynched for trying to get out of telling him whether I'm a bad guy or not.

The first of course. I was expecting you to simply say that you were a good guy, which would of been the obvious answer, after all, a good guy has no good reason to lie and a bad guy wouldn't just give up. I didn't expect it to get anywhere, but being inexperienced, I thought that it would be worth a try, just to see if it led to anything especially ridiculous from you or anyone else (which it kind of did, but I wouldn't vote for you based on just that)

As I have said, there's not much to go by at this point, but these three stand out to me, just because of small things I've noticed.

Well, it's only the start of day 1. We'd be really lucky if there was anything of substance to go by.

The day is yet young, my friend. We may be lucky yet...

You know, now that I think about it, why don't you tell us whether you're a Bad Guy or not? I mean, if you are a Bad Guy, you'll just lie, but completely dodging the question is a bit suspicious. I know I am a Good Guy, hoiw about you?

Oh, that was directed at Pinnochio.

Yes, there are extremely obvious choices for this lynch, if we're going by character, but then again, a suspect can rarely be convicted just for their outlook. Yes, I agree, they won't be coming back, but still, it might be a bit of comfort to all of us that at least the good guys we send through might live a happy life. And since people are voicing suspicions fairly quickly, I'll just make a premature list here.

1. Cinderella (Flipz). True, she has made herself useful, but that can be as much a scum's tactic as a townie's. Her response to Goldie also sets me off-first, she said that discussion and accusations is the best way to catch a Scum, but then abruptly switches when Goldie said that behavior might help as well, then switched back to her previous stance when speaking to others. Her and Goldie could be on the same team, I suppose, but I tend to think that when someone agrees in such a way, contrary to a previous point, they are a suspect. When she speaks, she looks like she is trying to be helpful but instead, most of her words give us absolutely no progress on the part of the Town. This is preliminary, though, as I haven't seen enough of her behavior to fully launch an accusation.

Ah! Pinocchio, my newest friend, you are a true genius, if you even have a brain in the wooden head of yours. Am I the only one who's noticed that good old "Cindy" has been making the most accusations and reasons to believe that she is not innocent. A clever ploy? I would think so. I know for a fact that she hate pigs. (Even ones who aren't a thing like them, as she called me one many times.) Is this her point? To divert us away. We aren't that dumb, Cinderella!

:hmpf: Oh, pah-lease, you're just jealous because you left me and now I've found someone hotter than you.

Let me put this simply. I'm accusing people because, without accusations, defenses, and discussion, we will be randomly condemning someone to eternity in the Mirror World.

Also, I didn't consider Pig a pig, I considered him a person. (Now that he's dead, of course, I consider him pork, but that's because I haven't had breakast yet.) You, on the other hand, are scum, whether or not you're "Bad Guy" Scum. :hmpf_bad:

I spoke in jest, right now it is too early to make a definitive case based on such things. Nonetheless, I find it interesting that your reacted so vehemently to a simple observation. Perhaps my wording was a bit harsh, but it is no crime to make an observation. Every scrap of evidence we procure is potential ammunition against the Bad Guys.

And since we are discussing this topic in particular, I find it VERY interesting that Rapunzel over there woke up, and, without even looking at us, went back to sleep. Hmm... :sceptic:

Umm...some of us have work...

Well, I think that Cindy is not on our side :look: .... .making an observation, that was blasting people....true, but another question, how many scum are there....I think three, maybe four...not good.... :sceptic:

Granted, but if so why were you logged in to Eurobricks awake twice without even looking at the discussion? If work really is the cause, why log in wake up at all before you have time to contribute?

Accusations are the only way forward. Also, let me point out: better blasted by me than thrown through the mirror.

:hmpf: ...aaand ladies and gentlemen, the inevitable day 1 scumtell. The library is full of books in which individuals, not unlike Rapunzel here, start the first day off by speculating about the number of Scum, thinking it looks/is helpful. Allow me to be frank: it's not. It's unhelpful, and since it appears helpful without actually contributing anything, it's a very common Scum move.

*waits for the inevitable comeback, quietly bets money on Charming as the one to say it...*

3 - 4 scums .... How would you know? Are you privy to some information we don't have?

As far as I'm concerned, you are all scum!

Also...

Cinderella is on a warpath it seems! Throwing accusations around hoping for someone to bite!

Why so eager?

Trying to lead us away from you? Or draw us into your scummy trap?

Cindy, calm down. People have other things to do after logging in waking up than playing the game finding Bad Guys.

I, for one, spend over an hour just on my hair. Now you know why it always looks perfect.

On the topic of the number of Bad Guys: I took a nap earlier, after thinking about our situation. I had a dream, in which I saw 12 green apples and 4 red apples. (Yes, I have an apple fettish.) If my suspicions are true, it would mean that there are 12 Good Guys and 4 Bad Guys.

Oh my, I have just arrived at the crime scene, and people are already blaming each other!

Let me be the first to say that I did NOT kill the Pig. Though people often think I was the one that huffed and puffed, I most certainly did not.

That was my cousin, who happens to have the same name that I do, the only thing I ever did was stalk Miss Red Riding Hood, but that was because I was a bad wolf back then, in fact, I really should change my name to the Big Good Wolf, but BGW sounds kind of weird. default_blush.gif

Also, as we have literally nothing to work off of right now, let us not jump to conclusions as to who did it. From my experience, if we just let people talk long enough, e may just hear the truth.

Who knows for sure except the supreme being, but mathematically speaking I would agree with that estimate as well.

Like wolfy said, we're often misunderstood my our names or related family members.

Pork chops anyone? Cindy?

Come on, what's with all the accusations. We all know anyway who are the bad ones amongst us. It is obviously the Big Bad Wolf (As his name implies) and the wicked witch. Oh, and let's not forget Puss-in-Boots. It's like, how many options do we have? Duh! Now Cindy would you stop getting distracted. I haven't been able to keep your attention for more than 1 minute at a time since our romp in the hay. What does the pig really matter to us. It could have been the local butcher as far as we are concerned.

Accusing everyone, but pointing no fingers away from yourself? Sounds like the actions of scum. I have saved a king, and have my own movie. But then again, so do you... :sceptic:

Is there anyone who hasn't posted yet? They may be lurking, waitng for the right time to confuse things.

There's only sixteen of us! In Mafia it's about 1 scum per four town.

Hmm, let's see:

Post counts so far (Day 1):

Aladdin/palathadric - 4

Big Bad Wolf/The_Customizer - 1

Cinderella/Flipz - 16 (including this post)

Goldilocks/Darth Nihilus - 1

Jack/Piratedave84 - 2

Little Mermaid/JaseTJ - 0

Mr. Bear/Superficial Username - 4

Pinocchio/Poison Ivy - 4

Prince Charming/Jackjonespaw - 1

Puss-In-Boots/Dakar A - 2

Rapunzel/RPGer - 1

Red Riding Hood/Lord of the Fries - 0

Sleeping Beauty/Chromeknight - 0

Snow White/LEGOman273 - 2

White Rabbit/Alex the Great - 0

Wicked Witch/Donut - 4

Oops, looks like Rapunzel said something while I was making my list, she has a total of two posts statements now.

There's only sixteen of us! In Mafia it's about 1 scum per four town.

And this helps us how? Either we find all the Scum and the game ends, or we don't. The Powers Above stated publicly that there are no Neutral parties we have to eliminate, so there's no reason to speculate on the number of scum. Guessing about it makes you look scummy.

And you don't have to guess to look scummy. I agree with earlier speeches, you've added your opinion a bit to much. And, based on your "list" I would say you've had you say sixteen times to many. That one for each of us. Suspicious?

How often someone injects doesn't make a big difference on whether they are scum or not.

Also, I believe the idea of 1 scum for every 3 innocents sounds just about right. Not to mention, guesstimating how many scum there are, gives us a better idea of who may or may not be scum.

Not at all. It shows I'm dedicated to helping the Good Guys win this thing. Post lists are often quite helpful in weeding out scummy players who fly under the radar. Scum don't like to draw attention to themselves; if I were Scum, posting four times as much as any other player would be a monumentally stupid move--as you can see, almost all of the attention is on me. If I were Scum, I'd have to worry about saying things that would incriminate me later, and I'd be having to worry about that four or more times as often as any other potential Scum. It's impossible to keep that amount of lies straight for any period of time.

Of course, I'm a Good Guy, so I don't have to worry about that.

Great vigilance, though, Charming--I would have never expected something useful out of you.

How often someone injects doesn't make a big difference on whether they are scum or not.

Wrong. Scum like to hide under the radar, where they aren't in the spotlight and thus don't have to focus on making up consistent lies that sound like the truth. Even though they're lying liars that lie, even the most talented liar can't keep a story straight forever, and the more they talk the harder that gets.

Also, I believe the idea of 1 scum for every 3 innocents sounds just about right. Not to mention, guesstimating how many scum there are, gives us a better idea of who may or may not be scum.

How? Enlighten me.

Except that I am making claims, and observations, and stating the facts, as I see them. If I were a Scum, my story would fall to pieces, not to mention I would be suicidally drawing the Good Guys' attention.

Let's also not forget that there are members of the Good Guys who have Night Actions. By drawing all this attention to myself, I'm virtually guaranteeing that I will be targeted by at least one Night Action (if I survive to the night, anyway). If I were a Scum, there are four basic actions I could be facing: cop (which would out me as Scum, not good), blocker (which would prevent me from acting, which depending on the circumstances could be good or bad), doctor (from a player who thinks the Scum and/or the vigilante might want me dead, good but not worth the price), or vigilante (which would equal my death, also not good). That's two actions that would be almost guaranteed to end my game, one that would likely cause problems for my team, and one thats sort of good but could easily be replaced by, you know, not attracting Night Actions in the first place.

On the other hand, since I'm a Good Guy, that means that, at worst, the blocker blocks me (which wouldn't really hurt the Good Guys), or the vigilante tries to kill me, but I'm hoping I'll get Doctor protection tonight so I'll be safe from both Scum and vig. And at best, the Cop investigates and confirms me, which means we have a guaranteed trusted Townie, the advantages of which are self-evident.
