Boomingham arranged the remaining documents in their respective folders and breathed a slight sigh of relief as the files remained still within their folders.

QM Note: I need to fix-up a plot point so I'll make sure we're updated before the end of the night, so pardon the delay.

"Ah yes, here's the note. Hmmm... 8 months back a chap by the name of Rodrigo Devega stopped in and acquired about a loan for some scientific marvel having to do with transmogrification, I'm afraid that's all the note says. I couldn't even tell ya what the fellow looked like anymore. Thanks for helping me clear the clutter, I'll have to remember to keep the files of the 6 houses in a more managable order next time. Is there anything else I can do for you all?"

Haldor nudges Lawrence in the side and whispers to him.We'll have to remember to keep a look out for this 'Rodrigo Devega". When we depart I will see what I can do." Haldor thanked the Elf Clerk and quickly scanned the room for anything out of place or unusual. "Thank you for your help Mister. Is that all we will be needing comrades? When you two are finished playing, we should head off to see what else there is to learn."

Boomingham nods curtly at Haldor and then addresses both he and Nur.

"I've been sitting on an idea for a while, because I'm afraid that I may be off base with it. This may just be my idled old brain, but did we ever figure out who hired us? 'Smudged name from the Eubric chamber of torn off'? Why would they want us there? Heroes at an unveiling of an invention? Should we check that out, or are we barking up the wrong tree?"

Boomingham then pulls Nur aside alone. "Care to loan a friend a gold piece or two... or more specifically 15? I'll pay you back when we finish the quest, swear to Ennoc." Barty rolls his little eyes.

[Sisco]

"You're still begging money, Boomingham? Don't you dare forget the fifty you still owe me..."

Boomingham then pulls Nur aside alone. "Care to loan a friend a gold piece or two... or more specifically 15? I'll pay you back when we finish the quest, swear to Ennoc." Barty rolls his little eyes.

Nur's left eyebrow rose as he watched the winged creature's reaction to his master's words. He glanced at Jess then back to Boomingham and smiled. "Of course my friend. Perhaps my coins shall improve your luck at the table. Might I carry one of your blades as collateral? The diamond enhanced one perhaps?"

Haldor looks around the office but notices nothing unusual.

Boomingham winks at his elf friend. "Don't you worry dear. That fifty gold will be coming your way!" Boomingham slaps Nur on the back. "I'd be happy to... but I'm afraid I might need it next time we run across some vampires. But, if you'd really like to look after it, she's all your's. What do you think about the idea that I threw out? Is our employer worth looking into?"

Boomingham winks at his elf friend. "Don't you worry dear. That fifty gold will be coming your way!"

Jess grunted. "It better be, Boomingham."

Jess turned toward the odd-looking fellow with the Triple Magic game. "Fancy another round?" Jess grinned as she held up her coin purse for him to see.

Sheesh. I wouldn't want to be indebted to her. Maybe I should give him a break. "Ah yes. More vampires. I hadn't considered the possibility of encountering them again. Here, take it as a gift and keep your blade." En Sabah Nur handed Boomingham 20 gold (380-20=360) . A diamond shall be mine again and I will sell it for over 200 gold! "Aye, we could investigate but the cyclops might need a bit of convincin'. You know how he likes to keep us extremely focused and on task."

Boomingham makes his way over to Docken.

"Docken, do you think that would could possibly stop by Gurnam's again after this, and see if he knows anyone named Roderigo. They may have picked him off of reputation alone, but it's also possible he knows them... Helvetia, it's even possible that Gurnam knows Roddy by reputation as well. He seems to have a pulse on the town, at any rate. I also want to see if I can't convince him to make one of my blades hollow..."

I lead the party to Gurnam's.

The heroes make their way to the fish market to meet up with Gurnam who they find coolly leaning on his stall's counter playing with his ever present filleting knife.

"Well, well, well. What can I do fer you fine gentlemen again? Come to look at the rest of my wares have ya?"

Gurnam swipes away a pound of unidentifiable fish parts off the counter and unfurls a small piece of parchment.

Services and Wares Available:

Upgrade to Poison Blade: Gurnam will permanently instill a poison effect onto an individual’s weapon. Costs 80 Gold and 1 venom

Venom: Use on a weapon to make it cause a poisoned-effect on an enemy it hits for the duration of one battle. A poisoned enemy loses 1 health each turn. Costs 5 Gold

Deadly Venom: Use on a weapon to make it cause a deadly poisoned-effect on an enemy it hits for the duration of one battle. A poisoned enemy loses 10 health each turn. Costs 45 Gold

Short Loan: Gurnam will loan an amount of money at 30% interest, up to 200 gold for the entirety of the quest. The individuals must repay him by the end of the quest or be forced to sacrifice their inventory to make up the difference, though if the party fails, they will only have to give up any items they bought during the quest.

Hit Job: Gurnam will utilize his connections to see to it that the first enemy targetted by the player in the next battle will be disposed of. Costs 100 Gold
