Boomingham sighs, sheaths his swords, and leans against a wall. He takes out his flask and takes a monster swig, finishing it.

"Well, there we have it. You're a very interesting man, Bluehood, I'll give you that. I can't argue against power. Power is the only thing really worth seeking, I'll agree with you there too. There isn't two ways about. Control over our own lives during our own life is the only thing we've got, be there gods or not."

"I'm going to tell you a story. It's a true story, and it happened long ago, and it's about power, so you're going to want to listen closely. During the Orcish Invasion, there was a troop led by a King. He wasn't a particularly good King, irresponsible, wishy-washy, loud, entitled, the like. You know the sort. Luckily, his kingdom wasn't very large, and he didn't really have that much power, so not too many people suffered due to his poor leadership. The King's goal was more power, which he thought meant more land and more subjects and more gold and more ladies and more drinks and food and all those things."

"There was someone else in the King's division who wanted more power, a young mage named Linus. The King was sort of young too, but this mage was seventeen or eighteen. He wanted his own kingdom. Now, the King was a crap King, but he wasn't that bad of a commander, and the Orcs wanted him out of the way, so they went to this young mage and they had him lead the entire division into an ambush. They promised him the King's kingdom when the war was over. The King and the young mage were the only two to escape."

"The King tracked down the young mage, trying to figure out what had happened. The young mage used all his remaining energy and froze the King in time. The King was powerless as the years rushed by. He didn't even know it until about 250 years later, a few seconds later for him. He had been powerless that whole time."

"When he reappeared, he did some research. His kingdom had been burned to the ground. His wife had escaped and remarried. He hadn't had power over that. She hadn't missed him. The young mage was never heard of again. He had been eaten by Orcs. The King had no power over that either. The King's son had died, burned with his kingdom. The King had no power over that either."

"And see, here's the thing. The King learned something. Power isn't what he thought it was. It isn't what the mage thought it was. It isn't more land and more control over more people. Power isn't burning cities or making your enemies cower, like you think it is. It isn't making everyone equal. People aren't equal. Some of us have more power. That's because we've earned it. That's because we are smart and strong enough to have power. Weak people should not be handed power. That's not safe."

"See, this is what it comes down to. We have one power in this world, and this right here is why I say screw the gods and their existence. Our one power is getting to pick how good of a mark we leave on the world. Some of us won't be remembered. Those aren't the powerful ones. Some of us will be remembered for ruining things with idiotic plans or evil intentions. That would have been you. Finally, some of us are remembered for stopping those evil doers and making a name for themselves. That's going to be me. I'll let my friends each make their own choices, but once they're done, it will be you versus me, chappo, and I promise you, the world will remember how Lord Boomingham of the Lost Kingdom stopped Bluehood the Goofy Mage from ruining Eubric."

"Do not think that I can be turned toward what I know is wrong for the sake of your broken lies. Do you even know of what true 'power' is, Bluehood? Power is not the ability to sweep away life at will, or to crush empires at the click of your fingers. Power is not the sharpness of the blade or fighting skill. Power is the chance, the strength, to act and make descisions that will stand for years to come, that will alter the future in the way that you choose. At this instant we all posess great power, for justice or for evil.

Bluehood, what by the were you thinking as you elected to cheat and scheme? One such as you, who cannot avoid being devoured by their own furniture, yet you plan to overthrow the whole balance in this city? What did you hope to achieve? What would happen next? When every man from the lowest scum to the highest priest can summon the strength to tear worlds apart, do you think that these men will pay homage to you as the world burns? You are the fool, for even coming this far, and you have only yourself to thank for your own demise. You are arrogantnat to think that you know the nature of real power, when you have but glimpsed its raw form. I stand with Lawrence, and hope that my friends will do the same. You are here to fall tonight Bluehood, regardless of any hidden depths behind your frail visage. I have a debt to Szalinski that you would not understand, and your attempt to take his life is enough for me to kill you here and now. But this is to be done for him, for us, and for the people of Eubric. May your end drive this land forward into a new begining, and may your filth never again taint this land."

Haldor stood at his tallest beside Lawrence, his weapon that had tasted so much terrible work held in his hand. Standing strong, standing just. For all to remember how the heroes would put a stop to the wicked deeds of Balthazar Bluehood and save the city.

"Farewell. My thanks for the bear claws."

I speak to the party.

"I think this confession can be considered a part of Master Bluehood's statement, which we were tasked with obtaining. I say we take him alive and return to the Town Watch to present our findings."

OoC: O_o

Nur's eyes remained on Bluehood. He remembered his time with the diadem. Losing any stats for the benefit of others hadn't worked too well for him. He was staring for awhile before he realized his response was required. "Oh is it my turn?" Nur rubbed his eyes with the back of his right hand. "Ah yes, power for all 'rabble' 'rabble' moving speech and whatnot. Sounds like a bunch of equalist nonsense to me. With everyone in power I'd definately be out of business. There is an excess of mages with command over all the elements as it is and I'm only versed in two more like one and a half really ." Nur stepped towards Boomingham and Haldor. "No deal, Bluehood. Especially since that lamp I pinched from you was one-time use only! Let's take 'im in."

Boomingham unsheathes his King of the Desert and lazily points it at Bluehood.

"Lead on, Master Docken. To the Town Watch we go."

QM Note: Sorry to keep holding this up, but as this is one of the last major plot decisions I would like a statement from at least each of the players. I'll try and be more specific in the future when I need entire Party opinions.

Jess thought about it for a few moments, unsure of what to do.

"I agree with Docken. Take him alive and bring him to the Town Watch."

"You are as cowardly as Szalinski, no matter I doubt there will be many who agree with your sentiments."

With that Bluehood rushes over to the machine pulls a few levers before placing himself under one of the transporting repositories. Sparks fly, the floor quakes, and a loud whirring sound is heard, as the machine does it's devilish work.

"Now at long last, my ancient power of magic and arcana will smoosh you like the insects you are and just to ensure it I've brought a few friends as well." Bluehood draws 4 lamps from within his robes as each one begins to billow colored smoke from their openings.

"This isn't all that bad. I say we take out the Jinns first, and then worry about Mr. Bluehood. I'd hate for one of us to be struck down by him while the rest of us are locked in combat. Docken and I can each take a free hit or two from him, and then once the Jinns are dealt with, we can take care of him all together all at once." Boomingham lifts his Frozen Saber and swings it Aquamarine Jinn from the front row. "Haldor, Jess, if you wouldn't mind trying to take out the Topaz Jinn, and my lovely earthly mage, that Ruby Jinn is just calling for your spells. Finally, Docken, if you wouldn't mind firing a shot or two at the Garnet Jinn, I think that would round out this turn quite nicely. I can take the hit from Bluehood if you're not in the mood, Docken."

"Bluehood, you have ruined nothing but yourself, and now you're not going to get away from me. Fool, we would have handed you alive to the watch, but now, with this assualt, you will perish here. Your dastardly plans will die with you."

Haldor rears up and charges at full-pelt toward the now-grotesque aquamancer. By the point that he is close enough to strike, the Norseman reveals himself to be the Dovakiin, and unleashes the Th'um, FUS ROH DAH! quickly turns back around and swipes at the Topaz Jinn's unprotected rear, from the front row. He tried to avert his gaze from the agile strike of Jess on the same target. Through all the danger and peril they had crossed together, it was the smallest thing that broke their love apart. The time would come for him to face the consequences of his actions, but now the ongoing threat of a madman infused with great power was the worse of his problems. He hoped.

Jess Islanti vs. Topaz Jinn - Aim (No Assassination)

Lord Lawrence Boomingham vs. Aquamarine Jinn - Defended Damage

Haldor Skovvgard vs. Topaz Jinn - Damage

Belthazar Bluehood free hit vs. Bartholomew Docken

Docken immediately goes into a defensive position as a defensive Aura begins to weave its way around him. En Sabah Nur's earth spell spins up a dust cloud that envelops the Ruby Jinn confusing it. Jess's blade skirts the Topaz Jinn doing only slight damage. Boomingham charges at the Aquamarine Jinn Frozen Saber held high, but is beat back by a watery punch delivered by the summoned creature. Haldor's swing misses the Topaz Jinn who turns and delivers a stunning strike to the Nord. Bluehood armed with his now monstrous strength delivers a massive hit against Docken, but thankfully the warden's shield absorbs most of the blow.

Haldor Skovvgard vs. Topaz Jinn - Damage

Belthazar Bluehood free hit vs. Bartholomew Docken

The battle draws on as the Garnet Jinn withdraws into its lamp for more protection. En Sabah Nur lets loose an earthquake which wrattles the foundation of the building as masonry and ceiling tiles rain down on the enemy stunning them as gold flakes off the lamps and out of Bluehoods robe which Nur quickly gathers. Jess again barely manages to scratch the Topaz Jinn as Haldor is beaten back it, but not before Docken jumps in front of the blow absorbing it. Boomingham lands a crippling strike on the shocked Aquamarine Jinn as Bluehood again pummels Docken's shield.

Party Leader, choose the order of action.

All of you, choose your targets and the row you want to fight in. Also mention if you want to try to flee, heal or cast a magic spell, or if you want to use an item instead of attacking.

Any enemy not targeted will get a Free Hit on the party after everyone have acted.

Jess attacked the same target.

"I can withstand another hit or two before I patch myself up... assuming that's still an option for me. Here's hoping."

Boomingham flies at his opponent once more.
