mordatre Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Gears of War diorama. Marcus, Clayton and Cole stumbles upon a grubhole in the middle of the street and Locust warriors emerge. The Xbox360 videogame Gears of War is one of my favourite ones. When Brickwarriors made some armour and weapons I had to build something. The lancer rifle and revolver are both Brickarms though. Boomshot and Torquebow are brickbuilt. lightningtiger Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 AWESOME creation 'mordatre' , the wrecked car and building are both fantastic, plenty of detail to everything in the screen shot. Brick On Fight On 'mordatre' ! Quote
Si-MOCs Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 AHHH those holes still haunt me... That is probably the best use of the tan brick-bricks I've seen yet. Having them spaced out with plates really works for me The details in the car are also very nice - the robot arm for the window is really nicely done. My only complaint/question is - what's up with the red? is it suppose to be blood? It seems too purposeful to be just ran out of brick... but I don't get it? Quote

The red tiles are supposed to resemble blood as a reminder of this games violent content, but on my pictures above the higher photoangle doesn´t show the red bricks in between the layers of plates. The pic below shows them red bricks and I hope the red tiles makes more sense now. gow05 by mordatre, on Flickr Quote

Darkdragon Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 Exellent work. the Building facade looks great and the action of the scene is well done. Quote
CaptainBermuda Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 I've never played gears of war........it seems really cool especially with this little scene. I should get it sometime Quote
Dannylonglegs Posted April 26, 2012 Posted April 26, 2012 I love the scene in general, but that wall is really my favorite part! Excellent use of the brand new brick parts! ~Insectoid Aristocrat Quote
Eric W. Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 I love everything about this! GOW is one of my favorite games of all time and this made me smile. I really like the clean building techniqes but still managing that rough, warzone look and feel. Excellent work! Quote
I Scream Clone Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Very cool MOC and well presented too. Good job on the apocalyptic feel. Quote
LegoJalex Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 That is really nice looking! Very nice combination of colours and bricks. I especially like how you made the wall. Quote
Hammerstein NWC Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 instantly recognisable MOC!! :) That is probably the best use of the tan brick-bricks I've seen yet. Having them spaced out with plates really works for me The details in the car are also very nice - the robot arm for the window is really nicely done. I totally agree with this the spacing is very effective and the burnout car is excellent! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 The brick bricks look great as other have said The fig posing is also excellent, and the abandoned car adds a nice touch Quote
RaincloudDustbin Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 I haven't played this game but the MOC is cool! Quote
