So after all this time these models are still popular at work, and a conversation piece even today! Over the years since we communicated I've made about 20 models. Of the 80 odd orders I placed for parts  I have spent many £100's building them, and still have 2 cases of parts.

The models have been used several times on training events on a large mock motorway!

In the last few years I've had to modify your original design several times. It was an excellent starting platform and the chassis has proved very good.  At one point  I've had  both chassis bases 6x4 as per your original one, and 4x4 version, the short cab as you designed and the slightly deeper Volvo cab, also had to make a Romaquip version (in grey, and a few subtle differences), the 4x4  2 liquid only versions we use and the combi version.

More recently I've created the 2018-2020  version with a number of modifications even the boss stopped to look at them one day! I'd built a 6x4 and 8x4 version before the first one had left the factory. I've also created a different plough to match the new vehicles plough design.

To date I've always been honest and directed everyone to your design on here, and always been clear where the credit for its design lay. I have only ever given models away for free (6 to date).  Both companies who build the 2008-2010 fleet both have a model based on your design.

In the last week I've had a local authority hear about the models and want some building to their specification. It has created a bit of a dilemma for me, as I just can't afford to make more models to give away. They  easily cost £40+ each to buy the parts and postage. Any parts I've got spare are orange, and on these versions there is no orange bricks at all! What it has done showed my how to use lego designing software to create aset of instructions and parts lists for the revised version, so I can hopefully just give them to tools to make their own.  Best Wishes.
