The ship looks really cool. Can't wait until your upgrades to the Arbiter! The sails are very well done I think, you copied it just perfect. What was your technique in drawing them? Oh yeah, one way you can get printed, yes printed from a computer is if you have photoshop or a good drawing program and a color, you can draw in the design, somehow, and print it on a custom made sail, rather simple, you just have to make sure the sail will get the printing on right.

~~~~~~~~~~~EDIT~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ok, I tried it out and it look well. I performed a water test( but whats the chance it's gonna get wet. Mind I soaked it and moved it around.)
Before water test: p1010310.jpg
After water test( note that it's pinkish): p1010311.jpg
All in all, it's good to do and looks nice, but don't get it wet ;-) .
So here is a shot of the sails I worked on.
You will notice one is the Lego original, one is painted, and one is marker.
As you can see, the one with the market smudged when it got wet. The painted one is fine.
T-Shirt transfers work well if you are doing it in color as Imperial Scouts eluded too. The painted ones I did with a t-shirt iron on transfer in black and white and then painted one... but it would work okay if you just did it in color if you have a good scanner. At the time, I did not. One caution though, watch to see if you are getting a white t-shirt transfer kit or a colored one. White ones will have a see through paper while one designed for colored t-shits will have a white background. I would recommend cutting out any patter with an exto-knife if you are not printing on a white sail and do not want white in certain areas.
As a side note. I didn't have time to do any work on the Arbiter, other than to clean her off a bit. I did retake a few shots though. If you are interested, the BS folder is... BrickShelf Arbiter
A shot of the Arbiter and the Covenant together. This will give you some idea of the size difference.
This sail painting technique is very intigueing. I am wondering, what stores would I go into to buy these iron on sheets you speak of? I myself don't require these for I am a pirate, and my sails fly blank!
Ah well you can get iron on teeshirt transparencies from any local super store, or computer store. I guess I don't know what they are called in Canada... but Wal*mart in the US in the computer section or at Bestbuy in the printer isle (Future Shop in Canada?) They come in both white (for colored teeshirts), and transparent (for white teeshirts).
