Whipstick? Happy to have you here! Unfortunately my little Corsican dictator I haven't got any creations to show, atleast not for a while as all my lego forces are being held captive in storage on the other side of the world! I am hoping to do some rescuing around Christmas time, in the meantime I am playing around on the computer trying to develop maps and scale templates of official models for making a huge set design. If I get somewhere with it all I'll try share the designs or ideas with you fellas. I'm also looking to make some pirate comics, story books featuring the figures, maybe a stock motion video or two, who knows... First: welcome to the mad house! *pirate* Second: I ain't a poxy blookd scummy pirate, I'm just a Dutch privateer!(although the other nation see that as a pirate) Mr Tiber... a privateer you say, hmm I demand proof! Where are your articles of commission from the Dutch King? You know you need to produce those upon demand by the authorities of other nations in port else you'll be in for a good hanging! For that matter I doubt that even when real privateers did produce the articles they were except from hanging as privateers only had license to plunder designated enemy shipping in times of war. On the otherhand, it does save the cost of building and recruiting a formal navy... Ol' Queen Bessy of Ingelund knew that when the kingdom was totally bankrupt so she just gave blokes like Francis Drake and Walter Rileagh (however that is spelt) license to play cat and mouse with the Spaniards. Being an orange man I'd imagine you aren't big fans of them either... Quote

Here I thought I was all alone a grown man obsessed with lego pirates and then I find a site like this one, brilliant... except the fact that you're all a bunch of poxy bloody scummy pirates who need hanging by the yard-arm by His Majesty's Royal Navy! :-P Bloody scummy Pirates... :( You are off my Christmas list. Will there be a light bluish gray chest in another Aqua Raiders set? The picture I posted has the word PROTOTYPE printed across it in big bold orange letters, I thought that was enough of a hint to figure out it's a preliminary design, I guess not. *wacko* Nice smiley, but I wonder why that Spanish Lego site has islander heads for topics if it is about all Lego. And set 7771 will be released, it will just look like this. And as far as I know there will be no other light grey chests released in the Aqua Raiders theme. Quote

And it was the BL pics that I said were said to be prototypes. And you must mean hispalug.com. If you don't mind me asking, how did you come across it? ZCerberus Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Okay lots of small points here. I think I have a light gray chest somewhere, but I am not sure where! There are lots of darkstone ones with the Vikings line. The Aquaraiders line is out, and there is not one with a light gray chest, as was pointed out, the set was considering using it as a prototype doesn't even have a chest in it anymore! The whole aquaraiders line was available at my Lego Imagination Center here in MN. I live pretty close to the Mall of America, and even though the mall as a whole is somewhat useless, the Lego store there has Pick-a-Brick, the sets available "only" on shop-at-home from the Lego website and the earliest releases of new sets. No new Star Wars there yet, but ALL the Aquaraiders sets and all the new mecha guys... ExoForce? are there too. I like the look of the Aquaraiders overall and they are using some classic pirate pieces... like gold coins, chests, and brown muskets in various sets. Maybe they are paving the way for the return... Oh, I probably shouldn't get started! Anyway... Just though I would comment POTC 1 was pretty good. POTC 2 was okay, but there were too many scenes with the Kracken trashing a ship. One extended time of seeing it break down a ship would have been plenty. I still think production wise, it was better than most movies. I would have to say some people who hadn't seen the first one a few times, were a little lost, as the plot was weaving around a little too much for some people. I think you also have to appreciate that a lot of the second movie was well set up in the first movie. There were things in the first that played well into the second. People can love Pirates and Pirate Lego's without loving POTC, so that is that. Let's just say, oh, I am sorry you didn't appreciate the movie... now check out my moc! Let's all be friends. That seems fitting punishment for all those dislikers of potc. i've tried making a similar crowsnest and it's not as nice and round that the one posted is. Also it don't stay togther very easily at all! the flex hose keeps slipping out of the funky clip arm thingy. Suggestions? Quote

This issue was raised in the audio commentary by Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio who reminded everyone the Kraken only trashes a ship in 2 scenes - unless you count the scene where it pulls down a ship but the actual Kraken isn't visible on screen.
