Thothwick and Tarn bravely dispatch their bombs, which do five each to each enemy. The enemy's armor soak up two of the five damage from each bomb (5-2=3) (5-2=3). Phil slams his hammer into Commander A, who shudders violently from the hit (114/2=57). Atramor's eyes glow and Commander B's eyes suddenly match his. CMP Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 (edited) And they only do 5 damage anyway? Crap. Atramor peels his face from the ground as Lion Commander B stands vacantly as battle rages all around him. Grumbling, he stands, swaying a bit. "Well...that...didn't exactly go as planned. Alright, er....Nyx, perhaps you should take a second and smack yourself with the Healing Staff, it's the most effective healing any of us have. Thothwick, I suggest reviving William, who should take out 2 of the Pikemen for us. I'm gonna heal Tarn from the back row...who I suggests take out another Pikeman. Phil, I recommend Rogue Lion Commander A from the back row, I don't want ya' gettin' knocked out or killed. Thothwick, I'm gonna trust you to take a free hit from Lyons, if you're in the back row you'll survive, I'll heal ya' in a moment, and I think William should go second and third, he'll be fully healed and in the back." Atramor hurriedly waves his hands around. Nothing happens for a moment, due to lack of ether, but eventually they flare up a bright orange, and he attempts to heal Tarn from the back row. Sorry if I'm being too bossy. Just trying to fix my screw-up. Oh, that was only 15 minutes, should've merged. Ah, well. Shouldn't Rogue Knight Commander B be Cursed? Pandora Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 Nyx is seething from taking so much damage, and for the battle to be left in certainly no better position (and in fact probably much worse) than before. The rage is what is keeping her standing right now; keeping the blood pumping. "Yes, that was a genius plan, Chicken-man. Pure genius. We'll show them, by bleeding all over them! Dare I point out that reviving Will will leave him still with only one health, so there's a good chance he'll just go and die again, especially at that point in the order where he'll take a free hit, and I'd like to move down the order as well please, now we're all busy healing and reviving and not actually hitting anyone. There's six of us and seven of them, and we're only currently targeting four of them, so that means three free hits that we (you) are going to have to absorb." Nyx stalks away from the battle lines and prepares her healing staff to gently tap herself on the head. "At least I know how hard to hit myself" she mutters to herself. Quote
CMP Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 (edited) "Reviving him restores all of his health, and if he's fighting in the back he'll be more than able to take a hit from three pikemen, and that's only if the dice are crappin' on him. One of them is hexed, his free hit will be directed onto one of his allies, Thothwick can take Lyon's, Will can take the Pikeman's. I can heal Thothwick, then Phil, then Will, then whoever else needs healing by then. So quit straining your barbaric brain and beat the living hell out of yourself already. " Atramor glares at Nyx as he charges up his healing spell. Stupid bloodthirsty Battle Mage, doubting his near-flawless strategies... "But...I guess you have a point. If I'm healin' y'all, I don't have any chances to take damage anyway. Thothwick, switch me and William in the battle order, if ya' don't mind. Not that you'll mind. And I can assure you that my brain isn't barbaric, it's still very magely thank you, but my fists on the other hand do hit hard. That damn chicken of yours probably has more intelligence than you do and I sincerely hope you know more about how Phoenix Essences work than how bombs work. Believe me, you can still take damage, and you need to, especially as there aren't many of us left who are able to. Thothwick, if you'll heed my counsel, please put the party order in order of remaining health, and I don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to a roast chicken supper once this battle's over.
