Rogue Lion Commander B - Shield Tarn Valco v. Lyons - Hit Phil v. Lyons - Shield The battle continues. Nyx stumbles backwards and her healing staff slams down into her, knocking the wind out of her. Atramor's magic sparks and fizzles and a single strand of orange light zaps Nyx (+19). Thothwick slides his sabre into the Commander's side (-[([8x3]+17)-2]=39.) The shocked Commander wheezes and Thothwick calmly steals 39 gold from the man, sure he will need it later. Lyons cries out as Harkenshire fires, encouraging his ally and ramming his sword into Harkenshire once more (48/2=24). Tarn and Phil dash forward and beat Lyons back with swings from Halberd and Hammer (-[25-10]=15). (47/2=23.5=24). The poison from Thothwick's blade leaks into the Commander's system (-1). Rumble Strike Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Tarn grinned at Phil as their weapons found their mark on the domineering Lion Knight. "Let us finish this, for Dastan!" He raced at Lyons, hopefully for the final time, from the front row Quote

Zepher Posted July 16, 2012 Author Posted July 16, 2012 OoC: CMP, you should have healed Nyx with "Heal Less". Sorry, I wrote it in the battle description, but not in the actions. Quote
CMP Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 "...Damn finally friggin' time I healed something!!" Atramor grins triumphantly as his magic removes most of Nyx's cuts and burns. Greatly encouraged by this small victory amongst endless bad luck, he then attempts to heal Phil. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Tarn frowns as his team-mates plan their strategy. "Mr Thothwick, fighting from the back will not save you against such an encouraged foe, unless you were to be healed, which isn't all that likely considering Atramor's attempts so far. Atramor - Phil, like myself, will fall to Lyons blade if he gets hit even if he were at full health. You are best off trying to heal Mr Thothwick, at least that way his staying in the back row could save him should he get hit." Quote

We are already down William, with myself and Phil at risk too. We need you to stay in this fight." Quote
Pandora Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Nyx breathes deeply as Atramor heals her. Not quite enough, but she feels so much better. "Thank fate one of us could get our mojo, uhm, mojo-ing! Right, I'm not quite back to fighting fit, but frankly somebody needs a slap, and I'm well overdue causing some pain to people I don't like. (Still sorry about the unintentional electrocution,Thothy. ) I still have a Phoenix Essence in hand, and I'll use it happily, but pwease let me hurt somebody first. " Nyx hopes her luck really has turned around and begins to draw all her pain and anguish through her book into a heavy cloud of Darkness magic to aim at Rogue Lion Commander B from the back row. CMP Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 I think I only have one ether left...not that I'm complaining. Atramor smirks defiantly at the rogue knights as Thothwick is healed. And nearly decapitated. He bites his lip as both he and Phil are cut down, and turns desperately to Tarn and Nyx, undoubtedly his most trustworthy teammates. "I can take a free hit from the commander, so I'll use that opportunity and all the ether I've got left to try and heal you, Nyx. I suggest either attacking Lyons or bashin' Tarn with your healing staff. Tarn, if ya' don't mind revivin' Phil, we may have a chance yet." He takes a preparatory breath, attempting to charge the last few ounces of healing left into Nyx from the back row. Atramor Tarn Nyx Phil If our luck doesn't turn this round, we're pretty much dead. Quote
Pandora Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 "Noooooo!" Nyx looks on in horror as more of her comrades fall, including their charge, Phil. "This is ridiculous, how can we have such bad luck?? I have every confidence that Phil will want to strike at Lyons again as soon as he's back on his feet, and there's no sense in risking more of us. I will strike Tarn with my Healing Staff while he revives Phil, if you're confident you can withstand the free hit that is, Atters. Tarn, if your blood is pumping and you wish to strike, then I'll revive Phil instead, but at this stage we need to exercise great caution. It looks like you might have one more heal in you after this (assuming this one works), Atramor. I have faith in us. Surely we must prevail?" Nyx focuses, hoping that the fates favour her with a strong hit, but keep her magics at bay. Never before had she believed so much in outside influence, having always believed she made her own luck, but it just didn't seem to be with her. Quote
Rumble Strike Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Tarn watched in horror as both Thothwick and Phil fell to vicious blows, whilst he was once again unable to connect with Lyons. He poured his Phoenix Essence into Phil's mouth, cursing himself for not having the foresight to load the potent consumable into his Hollow Bladed weapon before this battle. Quote

Rumble Strike Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 The long, drawn-out battle continued. With both Thothwick and William down, Tarn did not know whether to risk another full-on assault on Lyons, to take a more measured approach against him like Phil had just done, or to change tack and attack the Commander full bore. He didn't think he'd do anywhere near enough damage to Lyons from the back row, due to his armour, so he instead focused on the Rogue Lion Commander B, charging him from the front row. Quote
CMP Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Tarn should be at full health. Atramor watches the...semi-successful round, attempting to ignore the stab that pierces his shoulder. "Tarn, take the Lion Commander, if ya' can...dunno if I can hold up to another free hit...I'm gonna try and heal Phil, Nyx, maybe try hitting yourself with the staff again? Doesn't help that we have to strategize around this suicidal maniac..." Atramor Tarn Nyx Phil Quote
Pandora Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 "Atramor, if Phil doesn't strike Lyons, then you'll be dead, and we need as many of us alive as possible. This damn staff only seems to work on Tarn (actually it worked on Xander too, but he's not here, though it'd be handy if he were) so I'm tempted to use my Phoenix Essence on Thothy. That way he'd be at full health and able to target Lyons straight away. My only concern is that it's the very last Phoenix Essence we have, and I really do fear we've got one hell of a fight coming after this. So boys, what do you think? I try again with this damn staff? Or I use our last remaining means of reviving anyone? I'll go with whatever you both think, and Tarn... it's not always how hard you hit, but sometimes that you hit. Maybe you could take on Lyons and soak up the free hit from the back row? (Or take on the commander and take a free hit from Lyons from the back row?) But that really is just a suggestion." Quote
Rumble Strike Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 "I believe Phil is attacking Lyons regardless of his health despite our pleas, so I am attacking the Commander to make sure there are no free hits. If you use our last Essence on Thothwick and Phil falls again, we all lose." Quote
