"You guys have a much better chance than ya' think. You have a healer, a homicidal lucky and blessed Battle Mage that deals double damage, and a Knight who takes no damage from the back row and cuts right through armor like air. The worst that'll happen is that they're'll be so many of them they'll be able to sneak Alandri out while you're fightin'."

"I'm guessin' those siege ladders have probably been repelled by now, so we should only have to worry about the enemy tryin' to make their way from the ground floor. Nerwen, Thothwick, stick around and help Cronk finish off those chaps at the front entrance, we'll take care of those choas beasts later."

Skrall drew back on his Hunter's Crossbow and fired a shot off at Russel from the back row. "We better drop these fellows quick, other wise we're going to have a mess of fresh troops down here to deal with soon," Skrall reflected.

OoC: Is that a Rogue Lion Commander in the corridor with myself, Luke, Alexandre and Galen?

OoC (again) Sorry, I'm finding the map tricky to interpret, so I've written a contingency just in case.

OoC: Yes, there is a single Rogue Lion Commander in the corridor with you guys. I think it's E, because Flavius hit C and D got a free hit on him. What do you find confusing about the maps? If there's something we can do to make them clearer, please let us know. I thought about Rumble Strike's suggestion, about location status, and that could be added.

OOC: Sugestion. Can you, Skrall, and the QMs break up the battle order and battle resorts for ease of reading? If it is too complicated to break it up by battle parties, can you put an extra line after every 5 heroes in the battle order/battle resorts?

Sarick felt the annoying twinge of pain. 'Too many foes to watch a snake's back apparently' he thought. Sarick looked at his handy work but realized his error. Instead of coating the stairs in a thin layer of ice, to hopefully cause anyone coming down to trip and hurt themselves, the ice seemed to freeze in between each step creating a friendly and appealing sort of ice slide. 'Hrm...mabye the enemy coming down will have so much fun on my slide that they forget they are trying to kill us...maybe. I'm blaming this on the guy that hit me.'

Ifear for the heroes striving to contain Emeraldo, they will soon be badly outnumbered. I will move to help them. I would like the Mage to come too. You will be able to deal with these mechanicals and their puppet master then can move to intercept that XX character with Cronk and De'kra also.

Denerii, focused on the enemies in front of her does not notice the mental blip in Vipera's images indicating Flavius has winked out.

Harkenshire and Arthur having seemed to renewed their energy, "Ah master Regulus, I see you've snapped out of what-ever spell ya seemed tied up in. Skrall fires a second shot into Russel's torso. He falls to his knees, just in time to look into Emeraldo's eyes as he runs down the stairs if to say "I failed". The traitorous bodyguard's form falls limp to the floor. Following this, Denerii flaps her wings, causing gusts of wind powerful enough to stun the enemies and lifting her to the high ceiling, preventing the Rito from taking damage the next round. Isabella lands a critical hit on Guard D, dealing 27 damage. Sarick fails to heal Xander before the barbarian goes to rush Imperial Guard A, dealing 24 damage with his club. Meanwhile in the South Corridor, the heroes' luck takes a turn for the worse. Blackenord takes his revenge by attacking both Arthur (8) and William (9). William receives another 6 damage from Chimera Guard C, as does De'kra (5). Chimera Guard D roars ferociously, reviving Chimera Guard A at 25 health. In the Far North Corridor, Rogue Lion Commander E takes an unsuccessful swing at Alexandre before he follows his allies out of the room.

Atramor skids to halt, nearly toppling into Septrine in his haste.

"Alright. We're gonna let them come to us, partly because Knyghton needs a heal, a little because Phil won't leave the Emperor, and a bit so that we can see what we're gonna be facing here. Tarn, I recommend you take this moment to slot that Remedy into Helbaerand."

His hands glow brightly, trying to shove away memories of his unluckiness in the last battle doing so as he tried to heal Knyghton. McCafferey took up a spot on an empty torch bracket, staring down Sir Loren from across the hall.

Arthur reels momentarily, the dragon's vision nearly overwhelming him as he simultaneously tapped into its power while trying to shield his own memories from the mind-link. If they knew...bah! There's no time for this! Arthur's physical vision blurred and went haywire, and he could not tell where sight ended and the dragon-vision began. "Erm, who exactly is in the South Hall with me?"

OOC: Sorry to be a bother, could we include the "location" stat for the Heroes as well? Helps me to know if I'm in range to heal someone, thanks. :wink:

OoC: Dharkan is lucky so she should have had a reroll for her special damage.

Skrall grimmaced as Russel fell over dead, but his satisfaction was cut short as the Emperor and his guard made their way down the icy steps. As the Rito winged her way into the air Skrall called up to her, "Denarri, keep the Emperor busy. Arthur, a bit of yer Scroll magic might be handy against Lord Blacknord while the rest of yer Party deals with the guards. Atramor, see if ya can heal Count Knyghton or Tarn up a little before those troops start into the throne room. Luke, yer job is to keep everyone healthy." Skrall turned to Nerwen, "Now then miss, if ya wouldn't mind seein' to Xander over there, his wounds could use some attendin' to. The rest of ya, keep at those archers, we'll deal with the elite guards later." Skrall drew a bolt from his satchel and jammed it into his Hunter's Crossbow before firing off a shot at Elite Archer A from the back row.

Atramor chuckles, watching the other party between the mass of red and gray between the stairwells.

"William, I highly recommend using your Smelling Salts on Cronk, and then he use his extra turn to try and heal you. Just a friendly suggestion, but I dunno if you're in a fightin' shape right now."

Arthur nods. "Someone needs to heal William, his bow should deal double damage to the Chimaera Guards. I'm going to blind Blackenord unless someone else needs health." Arthur mentally berates himself for not giving anyone his Mead earlier, forgetting for a moment that everyone could hear his thoughts thanks to Vipera's spell.

"William, focus on the Chimaera guards, I'll keep Blackenord busy for a while."
