OOC: As CMP said, Rogue Lion Commnader A should be stunned as it was a successful hit on him. Also none of those Commanders should be encouraged now.

Nyx looks on aghast at Galen's brave sacrifice, and before her head can process what has happened she finds herself pulled along to relative safety by Alexandre, who then kindly forces her to drink a potion in her stupor. Gathering her senses, she sees she's back where she started, in the Throne room, but Emperor Septrine has moved (the memory glimmers in the back of her mind) and there are more heroes here. And enemies too. Instinct kicks in, and Nyx begins the powerful incantations to cast Darkness magics on Rogue Lion Commander E from the back row, using her great book as a conduit, and knowing that she may be able to cause great damage, and he had the most vitality to lose.

"The more pain I see, the more pain you give me, the more I have to use, and return. With interest." she mutters; eyes half closed and eyelids fluttering.

"There are six of us to fight five foes, when elsewhere the odds are not in the other heroes favour. Of these 5 enemies, 2 are Hexed and 1 is Stunned. Now would be an ideal time to split our force."

OOC: This is mainly RP for Tarn, I don't think he would put everyone in danger by leaving suddenly, but I can't shake the feeling we have chosen to make a stand in the wrong place and the real battles are passing us by.

"Tarn, look. All those Lions north are comin' south at us, XX comin' north, and there's a good chance Blackenord and his Chimera Guards might tag along as well. There's no humanly possible way to survive even getting to the eastern hall. We need to make a stand here for as long as we can. Even if we're all slaughtered anyway, Skrall and everyone else should be able to cut them off by then."

Cronk suggests stopping in room and waiting for chaos beasts to come. There friends have round (or 2?) to regroup. If William could use smelling salts on Cronk once there, Cronk will be able to heal as well as bash and friends will have chance of saving Ella.

OOC: Shouldn't Denerii not have taken any damage from the free hit since she was in the sky? So she should have 10hp right?

"This isn't lookin' good," Skrall thought to himself as he took aim at Emperor Emeraldo from the back row with his Hunter's Crossbow.

"Xander, Denarri's already got the Guard, go after the other Archer and make sure from the back row, we cannot prevent enough free hits to keep you and Ms. Isabella alive. Cronk, yer shield should be able to absorb any of the free hits from those mechanical contraptions, if those creatures come after us in here when you leave, we're done fer."

Luke watched Count Knyghton's agony from his wounds, he knew that close combat was no place for an engineer, he also knew that Phil, one of the defenders' greatest warriors was struggling to hold his ground as well. Luke calmed himself for a moment, "Doing what must be done, even when I take no pleasure in it," he contemplated. With that the elderly elf let loose a healing spell at Phil from the back row with Arthur's Staff of Elven Necromancy.

"Agreed, Sir Cronk. When the beasts do arrive, would thee prefer I put them to Sleep, Confuse them, Blind them, or Seal them? My preference would be Sleep, but William's Tripleshot might awaken them, unless he specifically avoids shooting sleeping Chaos Beasts."

OOC: If by some miracle all Chaos Beasts in the corridor are asleep, can Ella flee back upstairs, or can one of us Heroes pick her up? By my calculations, there is a 1 in 12 chance of this happening; Beast 3 would be asleep for 3 more rounds, Beast 2 would be asleep for 2 more rounds, and Beast 1 would be asleep for one more round, giving Ella a free round to run or giving us Heroes a free round to pick her up and take her to safety.

Denerii takes to the skies once more, stunning all enemies for the current round and protecting herself for the next. Skrall fires a shot at the dual-wielding emperor (84). Seeing their leader injured, the Imperial Guards decide to stick together. Nerwen lugs her hammer at Elite Guard C (8), while Isabella mugs the remaining Archer, killing him and stealing 36 gold as she does so. De'kra tosses a smoke bomb, allowing himself and his allies to pursue other foes. Atramor manages to heal himself fully, but despite this the Lion Commanders become encouraged again. Nyx fires a bolt of darkness at Commander E, dealing 90 damage. Luke fails to heal Phil before he rushes into the fray, and Commander C cuts him down. Seeing his ally fall, Count Knyghton takes revenge with his crossbow and dealing 13 damage to Commander A. Alexandre pours a potion down Nyx's throat as the hexed Commander B attacks his own ally.

Atramor grins at his successful healing, but it soon disappears, replaced with a grimace as Luke fails his, Phil managing to get himself impaled through the side shortly afterward. He sweeps Ratsbane from its sheath yet again, taking a swing at Rogue Lion Commander D from the front row.

"Luke, try and heal up Knyghton. Knyghton, you go for Rogue Lion Commander A, my poison'll finish him soon enough anyway. Don't worry about Phil 'til we have a moment to rest."

There's only 7 Chimera Guards in the south corridor, right?

As Arthur arrives in the East Hall with Cronk and William, he quickly uncorks his Mead and gives it to William from the Back Row. "William, if you'd use your Smelling Salts on Sir Cronk, he should be able to heal both of us before the Chaos Beasts arrive."

OOC: To repeat my question from just before the round was posted: If by some miracle all Chaos Beasts in the corridor are asleep, can Ella flee back upstairs, or can one of us Heroes pick her up? By my calculations, there is a 1 in 12 chance of this happening; Beast 3 would be asleep for 3 more rounds, Beast 2 would be asleep for 2 more rounds, and Beast 1 would be asleep for one more round, giving Ella a free round to run or giving us Heroes a free round to pick her up and take her to safety.

Xander quietly thanked Denerii for stunning the enemy, knowing he would have likely been knocked out had she not done so. Noticing the imperial guards in a defensive stance, Xander uses this opportunity to throw a skeleton decoy into the hallway from the back row.

IC: De'kra sighed with relief that the plan was working, before he clicked to the heroes ahead, "Heroes and I will continue north toward battle. I must warn heroes present that heroes and I are quite damage, although I might be able to take one free hit from back row. So if you can, heal would be appreciate. Not sure what to enact about XX though, he not able to attack anyone but he still is able to move, and thus he is still threat."

OOC: sorry to repeat this question, but since the original is swallowed up by text I feel the need to ask this once more. Could a Rogue in the scenerio use Flee to travel to another room without taking free hits?
