Tarn watched in anguish as he missed his strike and Phil went down. To see such a brave and honourable man fall, and be unable to do anything about it... He vowed to redouble his efforts and once again attacked Rogue Lion Commander C with Lion's Heart, but this time from the back row, wary of his enemies' encouraged state.

Tarn looked across at the Elven Knight. "Ella is a noble and brave woman who's visions have aided us immensely here in Dastan, she is certainly not 'useless'. It breaks my heart to not be helping to rescue her, but I know I must fulfill my role here and start putting down these Commanders ere we all perish."

At Tarn's mention of Ella's gift, Arthur starts. "Visions..." Arthur murmured in wonder. "Another piece to the puzzle...Heroes, quickly, what sort of visions has Ella told you about? Has she seen anything of Chaos, anything of Wren?"

IC: De'kra couldn't help but notice Tarn's words. They did not sound like the words of Nidhiki, and certainly not Tuyet. They sounded more heroic, and genuine. There was raw emotion in Tarn's voice, he truly seemed to care for Phil and Ella. Perhaps De'kra had judged him a little too harshly. But it was so hard to tell, how much was too gulible, and how much too paranoid? Still, as De'kra looked back Tarn had not seemed like a bad person in Quest 20, so perhaps it was naivity that caused him to use that bomb, rather than apathy. De'kra could at least give him the benefit of the doubt.

As he ran to the Throne Room he clicked with concern, "Strength your Spirit, Lewa, if any heroes can aid her, it is Nuparu and Cronk. I can not speak for Wiliam as I not know him, but I am certain he will only increase their strength. By way, when heroes and I arrive next turn, make sure Thothwick is heal. I know you have two healers among you, but if you not able to spare both, focus on him. I have better chance of survive hit at this time, he is higher priority."

As Arthur prepared to face off against the beasts of Chaos, he was suddenly interrupted by a flurry of pink letters. "I'm going to kill that witch...!" He growled. As soon as his message disappeared, he offered a challenging growl to the heavens: "So, it's personal, is it? My family magicks are Sealed, yet the tramp's stolen spells work fine in this accursed place??" Arthur scowls deeply, but then, just as suddenly, his face and demeanor soften to a cold, gleaming grin. In a dangerously soft tone, he continues. "So be it. The challenge is taken; when I find the cause of this, I swear that I shall have my vengence."

OOC: sorry to repeat this question, but since the original is swallowed up by text I feel the need to ask this once more. Could a Rogue in the scenerio use Flee to travel to another room without taking free hits?

QM Note: Since flee and the use of a smoke bomb work the same way and only differ in the number of people, I will say that yes, a Rogue can flee a room without taking damage. However, that does not mean that their free hits will disappear, they will be transferred to the next person in the battle order.

OOC: We'll have one more round after this as well, right?

QM Note: If you mean the chaos beasts, yes, they must enter the corridor this coming round, and then attack on the following one.

OoC: I'm not sure how you calculated my Great Spell to come up with 90 damage. By my calculations it's (WP13 x3) + Level 20 = 59 elemental damage, then x2 because they're weak to darkness, so 118. Plus I just want to also make sure the chances of me summoning my spider are happening, too. Thanks. :sweet:

"The whole reason he's up here is because he can't deal free hits, I think. If I'm right, he'll waltz right past us and grab the emperor. I know you can cause more damage, but 10 health per round to such a strong enemy can make a serious difference in the long run."

QM Note: Correct, I forgot that it should be a Greater Spell. I only did WP x2, x2 for darkness, minus SP. And I forgot to make a note of summoning, but I did roll and you did not summon Edgar. I will fix that now.

Tarn frowns as De'kra clicks a mixture of familiar and unfamiliar names at him. "Thank you De'kra. I know William is a stout fellow and I trust any hero here will do their best to rescue Ella. I will try and keep Mr Thothwick safe but him and Atramor do not appear to get on well."

He then responded to the Mage, Arthur: "I know Ella has had several visions recently. She foresaw that attack of the Chimera and this actual battle. I do not believe she spoke of you specifically."

A flurry of letters fly from the skies. The Dastanians all seem confused, but the heroes know what it is, and use it to their advantage. The heroes in the west corridor retreat slightly closer to the stairs while their enemy fumbles around. Those with ranged weapons hold off the enemy as the healers patch up wounds, and Xander deploys a Skeleton Decoy. The Heroes of the East Hall prepare for battle as well, and just in time as the Chaos Beasts burst forth with an Ella who looks serene, her eyes glazed over, clearly lost in her own head. The heroes in the throne room batter down the Commanders, who watch the letters wearily and leave themselves open for attack. Nyx blasts through one's chest with a well aimed darkness spell, but they are alerted of another approaching danger when Blackenord cries out.
