TheBoyWonder Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 (edited) Can we have a link to the scum writeboard please? EDIT : What set did Nico 's head and Gio's Torso come from? Edited April 21, 2012 by TheBoyWonder
Flipz Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 If no one minds, could we have a link to the Scum writeboard? I'll post a link to the dead board in a minute or two.
The_Customizer Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Well, it seems that some of my beliefs of guilty folk was right from the beginning! Too bad I died quickly, of course, now I know how to act properly.
Peanuts Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 When you said the game would continue, Sandy, I actually thought with another Day. You lied! Love the ending, though. Well, I was convinced RPGer was scum about halfway, and I suspected palathadric from early on (and even more after the investigation), but except for this and the playing in the discussion thread, it was a good game and it was a pleasure following it. Oh, Flipz, no offence intended, but your playing style seemed kind of scummy to me and I had been inclined to vote for you, if I had been playing. Making lists who posted how often after half a game day is not really useful, and you had some logical fallacies there which stroke me as odd. Your Harriet-style plays were entertaining, but I'm surprised Hinckley hasn't sued you yet But congrats to the scum for a perfect victory and the players for passing. It really was a good mafia school game in my opinion.
Sandy Posted April 21, 2012 Author Posted April 21, 2012 Can we have a link to the scum writeboard please? EDIT : What set did Nico 's head and Gio's Torso come from? There is no scum writeboard, they communicated via PMs. Flipz set up a writeboard for the dead after he was killed off, but there's not much to read in there... Nico's head is from the peasant boy in Mill Village Raid: Gio had multiple torsos during this game, most of which are from the Collectible Minifigure Series, but the last one (the leather jacket) is from Mutt Williams from Indiana Jones.
TheBoyWonder Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Thank you. Just wanted the head and leather jacket for a Little display for a local primary school.

It really was a good mafia school game in my opinion. What's even sadder is, before I panicked over Big Bad Wolf's PM, I had fingered Aladdin, Charming, and Rapunzel as Scum on Day 1. If only I had decided to give BBW another Day... Ah, well, live and learn.
TheBoyWonder Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 At one point I was screaming at the screen " Why can no one see Charming is scum!"
Nightshroud99 Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 The scum did a terrific job here. Congratulations. Good job to everyone though.
TheBoyWonder Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Sleeping Beauty is one of the best scum I have seen. She ripped through the town.
Flipz Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Sleeping Beauty is one of the best scum I have seen. She ripped through the town. ...and yet, I'm the one who got three out of the four Power Roles killed. You were great, though, Chromeknight, I really trusted you right up until I was killed. Even afterwards, it took me a while to figure out it was you.
TheBoyWonder Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Flipz, don't kick yourself. In my first game, one of my team gave away the identity of the rest of my team to the Vig. I have been having a bad run. But you just got to get back up.
Darth Nihilus Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Told you so! Literally, though, if people had actually listened to me about Charming, this could have gone a completely different way. Then again, I suck at getting points across, so maybe I was the downfall of the Town for accusing him. Flipz, don't kick yourself. In my first game, one of my team gave away the identity of the rest of my team to the Vig. I have been having a bad run. But you just got to get back up. That...would be me. I have hated myself from that point onward, going over the scenario time after time in my head, trying to figure out how I could play a better Scum. Apparently, though, I suck at playing Town as much as I do at playing Scum, though that probably should have been evident after Witchbreed. It was really a surprise to me to get another Blocker role, I thought for sure that the chance of getting it again was slim to none. Anyhow, great game, Sandy, it was wonderful! The sets and the story were great, although I think I ruined it a little, playing as bad as I did.
Piratedave84 Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 The Town lost because we trusted Sleeping. Agreed, Sleeping played extremely well, he had my unconditional trust! I also had Rapunzel and Charming pinned as scum from day 1 and asked about them A LOT in PM but no one listened! This was a lot of fun, I hope to play with you guys in another game!
JackJonespaw Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Nice job, everyone! I had a great time playing, and I can't wait to do it again! Being scum was a great time!
Flipz Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 (edited) Nice job, everyone! I had a great time playing, and I can't wait to do it again! Being scum was a great time! Hey, wait a minute, that's not enough, you have to tell me how you found out about Bear and me for Night 1!! Edited April 21, 2012 by Flipz
Chromeknight Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 OK, now that I can actually post publicly again: SCUM HOW ... DID YOU KNOW ABOUT BEAR AND ME NIGHT 1?!?!?! *Pant* *pant* sorry, I've been holding that in ever since Goldy was found innocent and Bear mentioned on the Dead writeboard that he told no one. I've gone over my PMs a hundred times and still can't figure out where the leak was. I have plenty of ranting to do at people, but I'll wait a while for that. GREAT game, Scum, once Sleeping got my trust Town was doomed. I also plan to post the important bits of my PM chains (slightly cleaned for lauguage ) just so people can see the insanity (and my fail strategy ) Poor Flipz. You've had to be very patient. I will post a full rundown later but the answer (as unsatifying as it is, is luck) As you can see from Sandy's list of night actions it was RPGer who blocked you, not Darth Nihilus. Near the end of the first day you said that if you died, trust Bear and Goldie. At that point I took a running jump to some conclusions. I'd decided that you must be vanilla, or at least no the doctor. But since you'd been noisy enough to attract the attention of power role players, they were the ones I was being told to trust. Well, actually I thought Snow was the cop and bear was the doc. The plan was to block the cop and kill the doc, figuring if the vig was out there he'd likely kill a townie first night. Then two things... My analysis was wrong and would have bounced on your protection of bear But RPGer decides to block you instead... Dumb luck. The following day he said twice he blocked Snow, I was convinced Darth Nihilus had gone of reservation and didn't trust you. Perhaps that made my whispered analysis more convincing. More later, I promise.
K-Nut Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 You're joking...dumb luck?! :wall: Aww... Poor Flipz, do you need a hug? That's how half of the stuff happens in these games, dumb luck.
Brickdoctor Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 You're joking...dumb luck?! :wall: Pure dumb luck got me protected in Isla Paradisa on Night One. Saved me from being killed by the Scum because I was such a n00bishly obvious Cop and eventually got me the win. Pure dumb luck again got me lynched in The Coming Darkness on Day Four so that I could join the Scum as winners. Pure dumb luck's been good to me. Interestingly, in both those games, Kartoffel had a significant amount of control over whether or not I got killed at Night.
Flipz Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Aww... Poor Flipz, do you need a hug? That's how half of the stuff happens in these games, dumb luck. I can't believe it, my plan was working perfectly and RPGer manages to single-handedly ruin me through sheer dumb luck. I underestimated you, RPGer, good game. I'll pass on the hug as long as you reply to that PM about the puzzles. :poke:
Rumble Strike Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 Well done to the Scum team, and special mention to Sandy and the fantastic sets and characters. It was a very entertaining game to watch.
TrumpetKing Posted April 21, 2012 Posted April 21, 2012 (edited) Congratulations scum team! This was a fun game to follow, and I am ecstatic for the next one. Great job, Sandy as well! I was surprised with this game, because it was the first mafia game that I have looked at where no scum were convicted or killed at all. Kudos to the scum team for that as well. I played like the n00b I was in Days 1-2 and toughened up in Days 3-4.
