KimT Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Thanks for the pics and a nice review. Looks like I'm going to buy more Exo-Force in the future. I noticed the drawing (the latter of your pics) - seems like we might be in for a Robot gate set... That would be neat! A human gate on one side and the robot gate on the other. Time for Exo-Dice... EXO-CHAMP Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Exo-Dice fans will be happy to know that I'm getting all the 07 Exo-Force. And I will make templates for them all. Great pictures dill. Love the knee kick scene. *sweet* Quote
dillthepill Posted November 14, 2006 Author Posted November 14, 2006 Thank you everyone for all your comments. KMOI: It does seem that it will be a battle for the bridge. I too am dissapointed about that. KimT: A robot gate would be nice, but a robot fortress or factory would be better. Exo-Champ: It is good to know that Exo-Dice will continue in 2007. Thanks for commenting. *y* Quote
natelite Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 where do you see the robot gate? i dont get it. btw, dill - can you tell us if the devastator robot for claw crusher has dual color torso like the robots from SP, TF and FV mechs or single color like the robots manning the arms of BW. as for the 2007 set codes, where can you enter it in the exo-force website? i was wondering who tried already. :-) i saw dill's CC's code. :-P Quote

I don't know either. Maybe it's not up yet??? Quote
natelite Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 The gate is on the picture with the Golden City..I don't know either. Maybe it's not up yet??? but it's not a set. the only sets i saw were the 4 large mechs and the 2 small mechs. there isn't any set number otherwise. and i am not sure what legomilk is trying to point out... No. It's not a set. Just box art. We'll properbly see it in the 07 comic. I'm also not quite sure what legomilk is trying to say? Quote
flanker Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 I think that Legomilk is trying to say that we've got to take a look at Lego.com. If you take a good look at the pic you can see that he has surrounded the corner in the leftunder. There stands the following symbol: www.lego.com. And as far as I know is that when you have a question about Lego, you always can take a look at lego.com or phone to Lego. Quote
oo7 Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 Earlier in the thread Legomilk was asking for a "nummer" or number. The small text that he circled in that picture is the number he wants to know. Quote

The small text that he circled in that picture is the number he wants to know. well, he's mistaken. the "code" is located on the yellow 1x2 studless plate in each set. take a look closely at one of the CCs. :-P Quote

The torso is just silver. But it seems that the SC is green and the IC is red. As for the exo-code, I have no idea where to enter it. Maybe they only start to show the stuff in 2007. Quote
natelite Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 i bought and made the blade titan and the sky guardian over the weekend. first the pros: - i think the color scheme is fantastic though a little cliche. white for the good guys... yeah... the dark colors compliment the white really well. and the yellow accents? perfect. - the cockpit construction looks great. definitely much better than 2006. the cockpit construction is like white lightning's but much bigger. you can have the minifig sitting or standing. roomy enough to moc. - i find the legs much better vs 06. without having to resort to many stickers, they manage to create a great look. very gundamsque. now the cons: - the stickers suck. they should have made them transparent...well most of them anyway. especially those that share the same background as the brick. the stickers for blade titan stuck out like a sore thumb. if you are good with water slide (use for temp "tattoo"), you are much better off scanning the sticker sheet and applying decals yourself. - the large weapons, like sky guardian's sword or the spining blades suck. they look like cheap plastics. by trying to blend two colors in the blade they actually made it look worse. i much rather have a solid one color dark red blade. - the ball joints: double edged as far as i am concern. on the one hand, they facilitate movements and definitely have wider range of movements but on the other, they create scrawny looking robot arms. sky guardian definitely looks like popeye with its fat gigantic forearm. - from the back the mechs look like T figure. i dont know why they didnt use wedge pieces but resorted to 2x6 plates. cutting cost again no doubt. - blade titan's shoulder blades suck. they just kinda hang there on the support of one technic pin each. it's so easy to just use a 1x1 single hole technic brick (or 1x2 double hole brick) and some technic pins to hold it in place. why do they have to resort to shoddy construction. - the sky guardian's jet engines dont look cool. they look like female mammary glands (umm, i dont think i'm allowed to say the more common name so... :-P it's not like i wanted to appear more sophisticated) overall, i think the two large mechs are a disappointment over 2006 sets. with a little bit of moc'ing i can probably improve on the 2006 mechs to have the great color scheme of 2007 sets but without the bad construction of 2007. p.s. the minifigs are cool though. i like the dark blue and the dark green uniforms. the dark green can be made into army commandos and the dark blue, the navy seals. dillthepill Posted November 19, 2006 Author Posted November 19, 2006 You should buy the Claw Crusher and Cyclone Defender if you are so dissapointed. Those two have great weapon designs and just look better. Good review. Quote
xenologer Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Well, I bought the Claw Crusher. And It's really good, actually I like it even more than any of the 2006 Large Mechas. Good colors, good parts, (I wonder what the alternate model is going to be? hopefully in 2007 the website will have one?) and the pilot's 'roll cage' cockpit is really clever There's just a few, easy to fix problems: first thing I noticed, when putting the gatling gun together, is that there is waaay too much friction between the orange disks and the 'space scanner' rod they're being jammed onto. It's probably a PC to PC plastic bonding issue. my fix for this was to spread out the orange disks, one at the base of the gun and one pushed up to the front of the barrels, this way only one of them needs to get jammed on there... second thing was the 'shoulder pads' armor breaks off really easily if you press down on the ends fix for that is to just fill in the gaps under the edges with some plates (use the 'extra' 1*1 pieces), they help to distribute pressure on those slopes so they don't pop off so easily lastly, the knees don't bend, but its pretty simple to steal some parts from last year's Sentry mecha to fix them; not like the Sentries are going to be seeing much action with this guy around anyway :-D P.S. the 'handle' pieces that the Claw fingers are clipped onto: Glad to see that both of them were smooth and worked properly. In all my other sets from the last 6months all those handle pieces have always had jagged edges that keep things from clipping on smoothly. I guess they finally noticed that the mould was broken and fixed it. Quote
dillthepill Posted November 21, 2006 Author Posted November 21, 2006 Nice review. *y* I reccomend getting the CD and the BT as well. Not too much about the Sky Guardian, but if you really want it you should get it. Quote
natelite Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 i got the CC and CD this weekend during the TRU sale. i must say the two mini sets are much much better than the two larger sets. i think ryo's mech is great and can be moc into an infantry unit. the suit is fantastic...dark green is so useful for infantry units. the mech construction is also good. nice hands, though would be nice if the shield was held by hands instead of a twirling mechanism. CC is okay...but not great. i think the bright orange highlights killed it. otherwise it would have been a nice mech. again, i would just moc the cockpit. it's too exposed. the claw is a nice touch, coupled with the gatling gun it looks like a mean mass infantry unit. certainly much more menacing than the CD, which is holding a measely handgun and a rotating shield. :-P but the good thing is that by using hands, it allows you to moc weapons easily. for eg, if you have a large KK2 figurine you can moc the weapons and shield and turn CD into a close combat mech. same goes for the sky guardian. i think blade titan is pretty cool as it is so no mocing needed. let me know if anyone wants pics.
