TheBigRedCheese Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 For any of you lucky ducks who own the Helicarrier, the official Maria Hill looks so much better with the legs I've linked than the plain 'ol dark blue she comes with. alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=970c00pb225&idColor=63#T=C&C=63 Quote

This is the day of coincidences, here's my Thing, with aqua man torso as suggested (before seeing the post I had just a plain orange backwards rebel pilot) and I made a blue night wing last night. Repeter Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Well hello, everyone. It's been a dog's age since I've stopped by this thread. Let's just say life took me on a bit of an adventure and it's been awhile...my contributions to this sweet place are waaay back between pages 16ish and somewhere in the 20s (haven't scrolled that far back yet). I bought a few sets today, my first in over a year and just had to come check out the Purist super hero activity. Anyway, it's great to see this work still going strong. Shout outs to autorazr in particular. You are a freaking machine, man! Thanks to the all the new stuff I've seen...well, new to me, anyway, I've already gone ahead and placed a few BrickLink orders. Great inspiration, folks! Quote

TheBigRedCheese Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 The new Trickster head could also be used for a blue Nightwing. Now I wonder what could be used for a torso... Damn! Someone beat me to it! :P I saw that too! Kudos to you though for having an imaginative mind, and a better Internet provider. Also, this might be lame, but what's wrong with official Arkham Asylum (The classic set. In other words, not this one.) Nightwing torso? (Other than being lame and unimaginative.) Quote

Numbuh1Nerd Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 The Thing looks pretty great! I'm impressed! A good Nightwing torso is hard to find, which is why I'm hoping they rerelease Nightwing in blue in a set before long. That'd make a S@H decent exclusive. I'm terrified of finding a really good use for the new Trickster, just because I reeeeeaaaaaaally wanna keep him in tact! Quote

First, thank you and second, nothing's wrong with the original Nightwing torso, the problem is that it costs a buttload of money to acquire on Ebay and Bricklink and since DC doesn't look like they're bringing back the blue anytime soon I wanted to see if their was a good substitute. Hell' I'd even settle if Lego made either of the first two costumes below! http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ZirrmZzy01s/UpzPsDKhnQI/AAAAAAAAATQ/rAiHEmQsn4k/s1600/Nightwingevo.jpg Edited August 28, 2015 by LuxorV Image too big. 8BrickMario Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 I feel that Trickster's mask is too large for blue Nightwing. It's the closest we have, but it's not good enough to me. Quote

I've used it with a robin head and plain blue arms in the past and it looks pretty good. Its our best option as of right now as far as I'm concerned. https://www.mystore....1-2-800x800.jpg Here is Nightwing with that torso, credit to fellow member Ultron32 for the picture. But thats just me. Also, for anyone looking for a use for the CMF Series 14 Witch, her legs would look good for an Absorbing Man fig. Quote

I was not at all aware that it cost so god damn much! (I just checked BL, and I'm pretty sure that I've never seen prices that high for anything short of the Comic-Con or Toy Fair exclusives!) /story This however, is mostly because I was lucky enough to have bought mine in 2008 or around then, when he was still being made. I did buy it on Ebay, but since I can't find the records online, I'm not sure exactly how much it was. However, I distinctly recall the price being something of a point of contention in my household, for a while. But when the Comic-Con figures started emerging en masse, and we looked into buying those, post-respective convention(s) I said "And you were worried about Nightwing costing X dollars?" as a sort of comeback. \story Regardless, I hope that you guys can amass the funds to buy at least one. Good luck! ;( Also, MisterBatfleck, if Lego made either of the first two Nightwings, believe me, I'd be the first to buy that set! Edited August 29, 2015 by TheBigRedCheese Quote

That's like two hours of work or a week of allowance. I'm just checking because someone in the DC thread thought the original Batcave set costs $3,000... Edited August 29, 2015 by Sir Gareth Quote

I'm just checking because someone in the DC thread thought the original Batcave set costs $3,000... Yeah, people over exaggerate Old Batman prices. I got quite a few old Batman torsos for like $2 a few days ago on BL. I guess it doesn't help much when I have the majority of the 2008 line (minus Tumbler ) to say the things I don't have are not too expensive. The 2006 sets/pieces are actually pretty reasonable. Along with a few 2007 things. I haven't checked on anything from 2008 but yeah. People over exaggerate on these things. If you have money and are willing to spend it on old Batman, do it. Sometimes sacrificing the size of your BL order for things you need isn't too bad. Quote
