JaseTJ Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 (edited) In that case, I'd stick for Barrowman's Merlyn (at least for now). YES! Please post a link to that here! :D As for the Nexo Knights stuff, glad you were able to pick that up! Just a thought: Macy's gear could potentially be used for a minifigure scale red lantern. Yeah, I almost nabbed the Clay one today to use the blue pieces for Flash. I had considered using Macy's armor for a Red Lantern, I just don't know of any specific characters for it... I've gotta say, though, I really wish Clay were green rather than Aaron. He comes with five of that new sword piece which would work so so so well for GL. I also may have picked up the Jokerland set <_< So I'll be posting some phone pics of my updated GA shortly, whilst better pics of more stuff will come later. :3 Edited January 6, 2016 by JaseTJ Quote
Airbenderfreak Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Hi everybody, this is my first post on this thread. I love Peggy Carter, so here are my ideas. Movie Version Hair: Elsa Hair in Brown (I know everyone hates it, but it actually works for Peggy. Head: Batgirl is what I use, but most female heads will work. Torso: 2011 Forest Police torso. Legs: Plain dark tan. TV version Hair: Olivia's from Friends (it needs the hole for the red hat from the western robot girl from the LEGO Movie Minifigure series). Head: Same. Torso: Dark blue business man torso which appeared in the 2006 Batcave and the Dock Ock Hideout from 2004. Legs: Plain dark blue. I hope you found this useful! Quote
JaseTJ Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Any chance there are red arms with dark red printing on them...? Macy's legs look really cool on Flash, as more of an armored version, but then his arms are lacking... Quote
TheBigRedCheese Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 (edited) My original plan was to make his gas form, but it ended up looking more like some weird plant Poison Ivy would employ so I scrapped it, hence the green hands (that and I don't have any flesh hands to spare) and that was the best torso I had that didn't look plain. And the Shield agents head looks more happy then crazy to me. I see. Well, the only other crazy face I can recommend is the Chinese gangster face from Indiana Jones. (http://alpha.brickli...&O={"color":90}) Although, to be fair, that head might be a bit TOO maniacal. The torso is good, but there might be other ones out there worth looking into. Also, Numbuh1Nerd tried using the CMF genie’s tail thingy and the Mandarin’s head to achieve Mist, so maybe those are worth looking at too. Either way, happy building! I used the Mandarin's head and genie legs? trail? lower half for my Mist. I saw that on Flickr! Nice job! By the way, I think trail is good. :P A more Netflix-style Daredevil, based on the link below. Ah, finally a use for Hank Pym's torso... Nice! Regarding uses for Hank Pym’s torso, you do mean a use other than for Hank Pym, right? :P Yeah, I almost nabbed the Clay one today to use the blue pieces for Flash. I had considered using Macy's armor for a Red Lantern, I just don't know of any specific characters for it... I've gotta say, though, I really wish Clay were green rather than Aaron. I also may have picked up the Jokerland set <_< So I'll be posting some phone pics of my updated GA shortly, whilst better pics of more stuff will come later. I’m looking at the Clay set and scratching my head. How do you plan on using that stuff for the Flash? As for Macy’s armor, it could work for literally any Red Lantern. Bleez (plus, the fire pieces in Clay’s set would make great wings) Atrocitus Ratchet Guy Gardner (He was a Red Lantern for a period of time) Zilius Zox (The ball shaped guy) FIVE?! Are you kidding me? Ugh. That stinks. They probably will be released at one point in green, but it still stinks, at least for right now. Also, I can’t wait to see your GA and other stuff! Hi everybody, this is my first post on this thread. I love Peggy Carter, so here are my ideas. Movie Version Hair: Elsa Hair in Brown (I know everyone hates it, but it actually works for Peggy. Airbenderfreak, welcome to the thread! :) As for your designs, they sound great! If you can though, post a picture so that we can see what it looks like as well. Either way, your design is great, and I hope to see more of your stuff in the future! :) Any chance there are red arms with dark red printing on them...? Macy's legs look really cool on Flash, as more of an armored version, but then his arms are lacking... Not that I know of. The only printed red arms I know of are the C-3P0 arm (that’s dark red though . . .) the newest of the new Darth Maul arms [http://www.bricklink...P=973pb1127c01], and Carnage’s arms. Unfortunately, none of those look like armor. Bart Simpson's yellow/red arms with red hands make for a pretty good design, but other than that, there’s nothing that comes to mind. Sorry. :( Edited January 6, 2016 by TheBigRedCheese Quote
8BrickMario Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 FIVE?! Are you kidding me? Ugh. That stinks. They probably will be released at one point in green, but it still stinks, at least for right now. If you're referring to the armor, it has been released in green. A couple of pages back, I showed it off on Green Lantern. Quote
N_Cat Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 And here's a new one I'm not to sure about, it's Kyle Nimbus aka The Mist My original plan was to make his gas form, but it ended up looking more like some weird plant Poison Ivy would employ so I scrapped it, hence the green hands (that and I don't have any flesh hands to spare) and that was the best torso I had that didn't look plain. My recommendation, Hulk_Smash, is using the CMF Banshee "legs." They're light green and wispy, and very recent, so you should be able to get your hands on them easily. A more Netflix-style Daredevil, based on the link. Ah, finally a use for Hank Pym's torso... Good job! The Hank Pym figure is one of the least necessary figures in recent memory- it doesn't exist in the film, looks like a knock-off of another figure in the set, and can't be used as an army builder- so using it for a Purist figure is awesome. I believe it's been used for Nightcrawler also. Airbenderfreak, welcome to the thread! :) As for your designs, they sound great! If you can though, post a picture so that we can see what it looks like as well. Either way, your design is great, and I hope to see more of your stuff in the future! :) Pictures are really nice when possible, but most people don't own all the pieces for the ideal figures, so I think posting the piece combinations is sufficient. That way, if some lucky Lego fan does have those pieces, (s)he can be inspired to create the figure. If you're referring to the armor, it has been released in green. A couple of pages back, I showed it off on Green Lantern. He's talking about the sword pieces Quote
Hulk_Smash Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 (edited) Still don't know what torso I could use but I have change The Mist slightly, and also made Ra's Al Gul as he appeared in Arrow. Edited January 6, 2016 by Hulk_Smash Quote
N_Cat Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Still don't know what torso I could use but I have change The Mist slightly, and also made Ra's Al Gul as he appeared in Arrow. Oh hey, you used the Banshee legs! They look serviceable. It's different than what you have going on now, but maybe you could use this for the torso, in order to indicate his transformation? It's partly gray for the shirt and partly sand green wisps for the smoke Ra's looks fairly accurate, don't have any suggestions there. Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 I really dig the Banshee trail thing on him! That's much, much better! I'm not sure how the colors would match up, but N_Cat's torso idea is definitely worth trying, very Golden Age. Quote
Sir Gareth Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Any other input on this? Which combination is more accurate for armored Batman from The Dark Knight Returns: A black armor breastplate and open chin cowl, or the gunmetal armor and cowl from Clash of Heroes? I'm leaning towards the latter. Quote
N_Cat Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Any other input on this? Neither is really accurate; in the comic, he wore Dark Blue (not black or gunmetal), and he had a chinstrap AND short ears. I would just go with the Clash of Heroes version because it's an attempt to represent a similar situation, so people will recognize that it's an armor designed for fighting Superman. Quote
JaseTJ Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Funny, that was the face I ended up choosing for my Batman Begins Ra's, just with dark brown hair and Killian's tan suit for the torso. :P Works even better for the CW version, I think. I don't work tomorrow, I'll try to remember to nab some pics of my more recent 'figs and get them up in here. Quote

I just meant to say that if OP could, they should post a picture. Maybe I came across differently, but that’s what I meant. I‘ll re-quote the post and clarify what I meant. Thanks for keeping me accountable, and also, thanks again for clarifying about the sword pieces for 8BrickMario. :) Still don't know what torso I could use but I have change The Mist slightly, and also made Ra's Al Gul as he appeared in Arrow. I’m glad it’s coming along! :D It looks awesome so far! N_Cat also recommended this torso, so give it a shot, if you have it. Either way, he looks awesome! BTW: That Ra’s is on point. I love it! :D Hi everybody, this is my first post on this thread. I love Peggy Carter, so here are my ideas. N_Cat told me that my request for images of your Peggy Carter minifigure might have sounded more demanding that it should have, so if I made you feel as though pictures were necessary, I just wanted to clarify: Pictures are not necessary, but if you can, please do so. Sorry for any confusion. :D Happy building! Quote
JaseTJ Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 (edited) Okay... I'm on mobile here at the moment, so I don't know if I can do this. But I took a couple of pictures. https://www.flickr.com/photos/jasetj/shares/cwG9QJ If this turns out right, first picture should be of my now 3 Robins. Dick is based loosely on Young Justice, Tim is based on a mix of pictures that came up and simply what I liked, and Damian is just the Lego one. I do wish I had another short yellow cape for Dick (he has a black cape backing the yellow), as well as a non-Damian face, but since I have Nightwing I'm less concerned about him. Next in my photo stream should be my GA, with the green short sleeves from Jokerland Robin. I gave him an extra Starlord hair piece to better match Stephen Amell as well. Next up is a pic I snapped of all my DC figs, since my girlfriend lined them up :P I took out a couple duplicated 'figs like my two slightly-different Jokers. Haven't actually counted them out, but about 1/5th are Batsuits and another 1/5th is my League. :) (Edit: 38 different characters, by my count, and 11 unnamed League members. So 49 total, an extra version of Joker, and all of my Batsuits.) The next one and I believe the last that applies to this thread atm is Young Justice Robin and Superboy. Again, I prefer this cape style for Dick. Edited January 8, 2016 by JaseTJ Quote
Airbenderfreak Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 (edited) I love Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, so here is my design for the titular character. Head piece: Grey Hood Head: The robot skull from Batman and Unikitty Attack. Torso: Plain Black, use grey cloth piece from the Specter. Replace right hand with grey pirate hook. Legs: Plain Black. I hope you like! Edited January 8, 2016 by Airbenderfreak Quote
JaseTJ Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 That doesn't sound much like Batman, mate... :P Upon a quick Google search I'm wondering if Azog's bladed hook thing might look better. Idk what he piece looks like offhand, I just dunno how good the normal hook would be for the Phantasm's more rigid/bladed one. Quote

On this note, TCMazz1, one of the people I follow on Flickr, created his own version of this, which is essentially Airbenderfreak's version, save for a few key differences. He used the less common Fire Nation Soldier head from the regretably short lived Avatar: The Last Airbender line, the Dementor's slightly bigger cloth piece, and the video game guy's dual molded light bley arms to match with the pirate hook. That version can be seen here, on his Flickr. Quote

TheBigRedCheese Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Not the best quality photos but figured I'd get these out there Red Hulks Iron Fist and Luke Cage Orion Autorazr, great job! :D It seems that the Super Henry and Finn hairs are getting a lot of purist use. Great use of the Nexo Knights stuff on the Hulks, by the way. Also, I'm loving that modded Iron Fist and Luke Cage! I almost didn't recognize him beneath all the yellow, but the metal tinges, arm guards and Finn's hair gave it away. I think that this yellow shirt would work out great even for a flesh Luke Cage, because of the muscles and whatnot. Alas, too bad we don't have more of those dual molded boots! Also, I must ask, what legs are those on Iron Fist? I've never seen them before, but they look amazing! That's a brilliant solution for Orion, what with the taps for handles and the droid body for his Astro-Harness! I think you've hit the nail on the head! Quote
