autorazr Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Repeter, I def havent forgotten you, you were putting out a lot of good stuff. I feel like most of what I've made has been directly inspired by yours and ReZourceman's posts. ReZourceman, I dont mind carnage maskless. I always thought Cletus Kassady was just as scary looking as carnage, with his crazy eyes and wiley red hair, you did him justice. Its always the masks amiright? Your Cardiac is damn perfect too, but what can we even do for a mask on him? Quote
ReZourceman Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Yeah I don't know how he would be possible. I meant to ask...what is Chameleon's head from? Need to do that. Also...now desperate to do original five (six) X-Men now. Quote
autorazr Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Chameleon is Aldrich Killians head from the Ironman3 set with warmachine. Quote
Spider-Man Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Your Cardiac is damn perfect too, but what can we even do for a mask on him? My purist Cardiac just uses one of those blue Ninjago NRG heads. Not perfect but it works for me Quote
Repeter Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Aw, well thanks for the kind words, fellows. This little club of ours is great--very inspirational. On to some new customs. I just ordered a bunch of parts off of B'link, so hopefully I can amp my production again (some other hobbies have taken my time up, until winter hit hard in Wisconsin). I have a bunch of stuff in mind, much of it inspired by the work you guys have posted here. **My images seem huge, no matter how small I make them in P'bucket...I seem to remember a trick to make them reasonably sized, like adding "width=500" to the link or something? Let's start with some X-Peeps: Leech: Jubilee (need to workon this one still): Beast (would love a better torso, here): Angel: Storm: Storm, non-purist (cut the beard off, lol...also, not in focus, but since it's not purist, who cares?): Man-Wolf (also out of focus, what was I doing?!? Also, I thought I'd come up with this idea on my own, until I saw ReZourceful's diorama, at which point I realize I must've stolen it from him. Oops: Diamondback (Ah, that ugly face): And let's finish up with some DC, sarting with this cheery fellow, Hush: Firefly: Arrow and co (PLEEEEEEZE, LEGO!! Make some good hair for a handsome, black man!!): Quote
ReZourceman Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Awesome, love them. The ring on Angel is ingenius. I ordered some yellow hips to do the original X-Men! Quote
Green Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 I love that Green Arrow! Have you tried using Indy's or Dastan's head for him? I find that works a little bit better for mine. Quote
rosalind14 Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 (edited) Taking notice of what ReZourceman did with stickers, I present my nearly final Deadman (the "D" needs a bit of trimming and tidying up...shaky hands!) http://www.brickshel.../DC/deadman.jpg Edited January 4, 2014 by rosalind14 Quote
autorazr Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 Solomon Grundy Toyman Killer Croc Green Arrow my figs are dusty Quote
Super Goblin Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 (edited) Metallo http://i719.photobuc...zpssnafcked.jpg Edited January 5, 2014 by LuxorV Changed bigger image deeplink to link. Quote
Freddy Bricker Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 autorazr: I understand what you were going for with Toyman, but perhaps there is a better face for a man with a creepily smiling face? Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 (edited) Metallo What's that head from? Is it from the LEGO Movie sets? Edited January 5, 2014 by LuxorV Please do not quote images from the same page. Thank you. Quote
autorazr Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Freddy Bricker, Idk, I based it on the Superman Animated Series version, he wears a mask that is a dolls face, rosy cheeks, doll eyes and such, there isnt a male face with such features. I was thinking of using the Buzz Lightyear head, because it would be bigger and look more like a mask, but the head gear just isnt right, it needs hair, is there a Woody head without his hat? That would be perfect. Quote
Super Goblin Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Yeah it's Skeletron from the MetalBeard Duel set, the body is grey as well. I know it's hard to tell in my dark picture. Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Yeah it's Skeletron from the MetalBeard Duel set, the body is grey as well. I know it's hard to tell in my dark picture. It's a perfect head, I'll have to pick up the set. I'd like to make a Metallo that looks kinda cyborg-y like in the animated series, or something big and bulky like in Justice League Doom. Someone PLEASE build the Doom Patrol! http://drh.img.digitalriver.com/DRHM/Storefront/Site/matty/pb/images/2010_News/P4014_Doom.jpg These guys are practically perfect for purist minifigures. I made a Negative Man (in this design) out of the Mummy head, this Frodo torso, white hands, and dark brown full-length legs. Quote
Repeter Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 Awesome, love them. The ring on Angel is ingenius. I ordered some yellow hips to do the original X-Men! Well, one of us had to, eventually. Can't wait to see them. The Angel is cool enough, though he does have a bit of 'giraffe' neck going on. I am loving Toyman from autorazr and Metallo from the new LEGO movie sets is brilliant...I have those pieces and am going to make that minifig right now. Great idea, Super Goblin. Quote

Freddy Bricker Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 autorazr: I think I see your point, though I recognized the design from the 2007 Justice League show (though that year may be off a bit). Quote

You'd have to dig deep to find bronze robot parts. Edited January 6, 2014 by LuxorV Please do not quote images from the same page. Thank you. Quote
autorazr Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Yeah, Robotman is easily my favorite character on the team, and an all time favorite. I can't think of a way to do him, closest thing to work off of may be C-3PO or something. @Freddy Bricker, I was thinking of trying the new Scribble-face bad cop head on Toyman, what do you think? Quote
The-Daryl Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Some GREAT ideas in this thread (has me already working on a Bricklink order)! One idea I had that I figured I'd share to see if anyone could do (I haven't gotten my hands on any of the new sets yet) was using some of the new LEGO movie Robo SWAT bodies for either random SHIELD agents or henchmen goons (and using the heads for an assortment of Doom Bots). Thanks for all the inspiration folks :) Quote
autorazr Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 hell yeah, cant wait to see it, Old style wheelchair or hover style? Quote
