autorazr Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 (edited) Autorazr, I can't remember, but have you done an Arcade to round out your Avengers Arena group? I am really digging that Kid Briton too, btw. Also, I copied your Domino and am very happy, as she is one of my favorites. The funny thing is, I've always had that head in mind. The twist to the hair was inspiring. The only difference with mine is that I used Faora's body, turning the torso around. I'd snap a pic, but apparently, dropping one's camera from the table is not recommended. Anyway, thanks for the idea! I did an old style Arcade a while ago, not sure if I posted. I also did do a AA style one for this pic, with longer hair and a white suit (I used the tan 3 piece suit from the studios line) and forgot to put him in And thanks, for the compliments, I was proud of Kid Briton, it aint perfect but it reads, and I was quite proud of my Domino solution, I'm glad its been well recieved. I also have a new creation to share today a rather juandiced Spiral ReZourceman, you did that awesome spiral many pages back right? I cant bring myself to spend the $5 for that double stack torso you used, so I used the same rig I made for Man-Spider. Edited February 8, 2014 by autorazr Quote
KingPixels Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 ianmrid, those are great! Though the face on Val Cooper looks like a decal, the figure still looks great! Also who is this Tigra, is she like Marvel's version of Cheetah? I recognise Cooper's face, it's from the custom printed Phoenix figure from eBay seller Poppunkmunky. Quote
Freddy Bricker Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 I recognise Cooper's face, it's from the custom printed Phoenix figure from eBay seller Poppunkmunky. Ah ok thanks. When you say custom printed Phoenix, do you mean 'the' Phoenix, the X-Men character? Quote
KingPixels Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 (edited) Having them be flesh colored is what's racist. It was better when race was ambiguous. How is having realistically coloured toys racist? I get the purpose of yellow skin, it's race ambiguous, but real characters don't have to be ambiguous. In my opinion, you can use fleshies, or you can use yellows, but you shouldn't use yellows as Caucasians and then use realistic skin tones for black people. Yellow =/= Caucasian. To keep this post on topic, I personally use flesh for my superheroes since that's what LEGO does and that's how I like it. Ah ok thanks. When you say custom printed Phoenix, do you mean 'the' Phoenix, the X-Men character? Yes. The character from Marvel. I dont actually think its racist, I was just fighting that weenbag. I think its totally cool that you guys use fleshies. I was just responding to someone who clearly had it out for me. My thing is that yellow does not mean caucasian and in my universe of creations, I use yellow for white and people of color. See my Misty Knight a few pages back. I actually plan to do a Storm real soon, and you bet your sweet megablock that she will be yellow skinned. If theres anyone other than korpus or whatever who has any problems with my use of yellow exclusively, lets talk in PM's. Please lets not kill the thread with this, please, I will feel endlessly guilty. @LuxorV, I promise I'm not trying to keep this conversation going, I really have no interest, I was just defending myself. aaaaand to really cement the fact that this is on topic, later tonight I will submit a Purist Morph (Exiles version) aaaand Crossbones Edited February 8, 2014 by autorazr Quote

Repeter Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Guys, there is this thing called PMs...they keep threads open. I especially want this thread to stay open, as it is the only thread I even really visit on these forums. So, I picked up a couple of the new Batman sets with the Flash. Any ideas for customs using that sweet head? Quote

(if you mean Flash's) Not really sure who else. Impulse parts list: Flash head Red torso, white arms, red hands. White legs, red hip. Surfer hair in brown, or Anakin hair. Repeter Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Not having those goggles for Impulse, on top of not really being able to pull off the cool red/white legs is sort of rough, but I can sort of see it. I think, however, I am going to retool my Angel a bit. I might have to B'link a few more of these Flash heads, though. Quote

I WONT feel guilty when this thread gets shut down. I've done all I can to preserve its integrity, its on Korpus now. Anywho here are my latest customs Morph Abigail Brand of S.W.O.R.D. Quote
autorazr Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 That flash head could work for Captain Britain, you could do something similar to my kid briton but use that head. Quote
KingPixels Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 The Flash head is not that useful, mostly because 1) It's double sided 2) It has orange eye brows Quote

LuxorV Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Just another word on the Flesh vs. Yellow minifigures, and I'll have to lock this topic for good, and have a chat with the offender(s) in the Camber. People are indeed entitled to their opinions. But once stated, if they differ, just let them be. I hope this is the last we hear on the topic. Thanks all. Quote
Im a brickmaster. Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 The Winter soldier, one of the coolest comic characters ever! Here is a pic with the scarf thing as seen in the recent trailers: Quote

Numbuh1Nerd Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Ultra Humanite Red Torso with white arms, grey hands Grizzam head and head piece. White legs with grey hip I've been wanting to make Ultra Humanite with the white gorilla parts for a while, but I've yet to find an accurate enough torso. Something more specific than just red. He needs some kind of sci-fi or military looking vest. Quote

Doom2099 Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 Anywho here are my latest customs Morph Abigail Brand of S.W.O.R.D. Hi! Sorry, this is my first time in this thread, and I just wanted to say that these two figures are great, and thanks to everyone for the great ideas contained here. I'm looking forward to seeing more, as it seems building our own purist versions is going to be a lot better than waiting around for TLG to release every character and costume we'd want. Thanks for sharing everyone! Quote

I cant bring myself to spend the $5 for that double stack torso you used, so I used the same rig I made for Man-Spider. Looks awesome! I did a spotlight video of my Professor X's/. Also, this year is going to be fantastic for customs. Red Skulls face should be use-able for a lot of people....top of the list for me is Sidewinder, leader of the Serpent Society. I currently have the model (bar the cap) with a red normal head subbed in, and as soon as I can swap it out for Skulls head he is going on the podium. Also did you guys see the flame head from Ultra Agents. Will be 100% perfect for Dormammu. And almost perfect for the likes of Human Torch and Ghost Rider. And finally, if anyone is interested, in the next few months I'll be launching a (somewhat adult), comedy LEGO MARVEL stop motion series called "Clusterfudge" and I did a tiny teaser. It should be a lot better however, this was really more a test than anything. Edited February 9, 2014 by ReZourceman Quote

autorazr Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Nice ReZourceman, You did a great job on making the professor's mouth move. Infearno looks awesome, that helmet and body wear would be perfect for Holocaust (son of Apocalypse). Quote
