Repeter Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Who is that first one, Rezourceman? Also, what idea did autorazr highlight? Ahm outta the loop! Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Who is that first one, Rezourceman? Also, what idea did autorazr highlight? Ahm outta the loop! It's odd that he didn't he label them. That first one seems like it might be Spidey-foe Shocker. As for the blonde girl, I'm not sure. I'm not as well-versed in Marvel as I'd like to be. Quote
Masta' Blasta' Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 It's odd that he didn't he label them. That first one seems like it might be Spidey-foe Shocker. As for the blonde girl, I'm not sure. I'm not as well-versed in Marvel as I'd like to be. I'm fairly certain that it is supposed to be Julia Carpenter as Spider-Woman or Arachne. Quote
ReZourceman Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Yeah apologies for the lack of labels. Shocker and Julia Carpenter (as said above). Autorazrs idea was to use the pineapple as his netted yellow mask, as before I used a flesh head with hair. Also, my newest custom spotlight video is up for those interested; Quote
Repeter Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Ah yes, Shocker...honestly, the female torso threw me off a bit. Also, I dig the Julia Carpenter, but think the Catwoman head might look good on her too. Quote
Oky Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Indeed she does. Madame Webb & Arachne by Oky - Space Ranger, on Flickr Quote
ianmrid Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Few purist updates from my latest Flickr upload: Squirrel Girl: design mainly came from ReZourceman - I added the tail (as suggested by someone else earlier in the thread) and changed the head/hair. Vanisher: really like this one! Mole Man: again, the pretty much exactly the same as ReZourceman, but gave him some purist Moloids and monsters! Stargirl: as requested a few pages back - I got the lastest Cap so I could put this together, Quote
Freddy Bricker Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Great job ianmrid! You did your best to put Squirrel Girl together and she came out looking great. I'm very fond of Stargirl and think you pulled her off great. My only problem is the face, which is not your fault. In theory, a smiling face with red lipstick would be great for a minifigure, but the lips came out huge and unattractive. Perhaps changing the head on her would really make this bunch stand out even more. So I salute you for these minifigures you've created but hopefully you can avoid the female heads from the Indiana Jones line in the future. Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Stargirl: as requested a few pages back - I got the lastest Cap so I could put this together, That's pretty great! That staff works much better than the one I've been using. Guess this means I'll have to get another new Captain America. :/ I think for the time being I'll be sticking with my current head-hair combo of Hermione head and blonde mermaid hair, though. If I run across that hair I'll replace it, but I prefer this head. I got a Lone Ranger figure specifically for the masked head, because there're so few different masked heads and I knew I could do something with that. Apparently I can't. Anybody have any DC ideas for that? I'm trying to flesh out my Justice League a bit, so I wanna stay on the DC end of things. Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 (edited) Alan Scott Green Lantern? That would be great if I had some legs with the proper boots or a torso with the logo on it. Otherwise he's pretty boring visually. Edited March 9, 2014 by LuxorV Quote
TheBatstan Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Perhaps for the torso you use something like this maybe? http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=973pb292&in=S Quote
Im a brickmaster. Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Yes! Someone else knows about the original Green lantern! I don't feel so wired anymore! I've been trying to purist him for awhile with no luck. Quote
ReZourceman Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Oh WOW! That Vanisher is perfect! Definitely be doing that one! All the others are brilliant too, again, I'll be getting at least one Gollum to do that. Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Perhaps for the torso you use something like this maybe? http://www.bricklink...P=973pb292&in=S That MIGHT work... Quote
Repeter Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Whelp, I did up a Vanisher this morning...thanks for the idea, ianmrid. What torso did you use, though? I'd love to get that, as it's almost perfect. Quote
ianmrid Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Thanks for the comments everyone! Yes, the Indiana Jones faces aren't the best maybe, but I have a lack of good female heads so she will be stuck with that one for a while at least :) Also, Stargirl has the distinction of being the first DC character I've posted! Whelp, I did up a Vanisher this morning...thanks for the idea, ianmrid. What torso did you use, though? I'd love to get that, as it's almost perfect. It is the back of this torso: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=973pb1258c01 I was really pleased that they had something that looked so much like his weird woolly costume :) Quote
TheBatstan Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Yes! Someone else knows about the original Green lantern! I don't feel so wired anymore! I've been trying to purist him for awhile with no luck. And i thought everyone knew about him Quote
MattZitron Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 (edited) I finally got around to doing my Reign of the Supermen: Head over here to see the quartet along with a couple of scene recreations. Edited March 10, 2014 by MattZitron Quote

Super Goblin Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Matt those are too awesome, great stuff. Now I'm going to have to talk my son out of his Ninjago hair piece. Quote
MattZitron Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Show him Cyborg superman. He'll easily relinquish. And thank you! Quote
ianmrid Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Thanks ianmrid (what's your flickr page address btw?) I also did movie Bizarro but he's been done quite alot so have yet to post him.
