Numbuh1Nerd Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Anyone had a go at making Big Hero 6 Characters? The problem with them is the helmets. Their aren't any helmets that look enough like that to make it work. That is, unless you want to go with the designs from the comics. Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 what I'm missing now is Hammerdroids. any suggestions? I'd use some of that big, bulky space marine armor in a dark gray, and probably something like a 1x1 brick or cylinder for the head. Try and incorporate that blue light in there somehow, probably. Legocity2713 Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Anyone think that the electric villain from the Ultra Agents boat set )both with an without the helmet) could be good for a Zzzax minifigure? (The glow-in-the-dark head at least, but the torso is cool too.) Maybe? I'd use some of that big, bulky space marine armor in a dark gray, and probably something like a 1x1 brick or cylinder for the head. Try and incorporate that blue light in there somehow, probably. Yeah, the blue is a good idea as is the armor. As for the head, maybe a 1x2 slope? I used that on one of mine. Tony Stark is amazing by the way. As for Justin Hammer though, I don't like the head. I'd use the old Hawkeye from the 2012 Avengers line. (Maybe change the hair to Aldrich Killian's) i actually fiddled around with with a Justin hammer figure once using Killian's body and hair with Hawkeye's head. Quote
K-Nut Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 I don't really like the idea of Hawkeye's head for Hammer. Hammer is never that serious. Egon's works better. Quote
raminator Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Same for me. Will try the Killian Hair though. Also thanks for the tips for the Hammerdroids. Quote

To me the 2012 head with glasses is more cocky than angry though. I think I speak for everyone saying that we would love to see the hammer drones later, please post them when you do make them. Great job on your figures over all bro. Can;t wait to see more. Edited May 22, 2015 by Legocity2713 Quote

Electrolyzer's helmet uses a bit too much solid blue for Zzzax, whose most often orange or yellow. Maybe if the helmet was a trans blue you could combine influences and get a good mix of traditional yellow and the blue from Avengers Assemble and some other animated series. The head would work perfectly well, though. Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted May 22, 2015 Posted May 22, 2015 Anybody have any ideas for Chemo? I feel like he might need to be brick built, though. Quote
Legocity2713 Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 (edited) Is anyone here into Mortal Kombat? I have some thoughts on purist figures: Use the ooze villain's mummy head from the Ninjago set 70736 for Ermac Use the Star Wars Inquisitor's head (and maybe even body) from set 75082 for Quan Chi Use Barriss Ofee's head (and maybe body) and add Iron Spider's claws from the upcoming Sandman set to create D'Vorah Use the Aztec CMF feathered "crown" piece, Castle troll head and bodies for Kotal Kahn Use the Chima Torso, part number 973pr2245c01 and Chima croc legs as the beginning for Reptile Also for all you Ghostbusters fans looking for a "Slimer", Ninjago set 70736 might have the answer. The "Screamer" characters are basically the same idea. You can even put them on a minifig's head. See for yourselves, go to Jangbricks' review of the set and skip ahead to 8:02 minutes. Hulk_Smash Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 After getting the Carnage set I decided to make Dum Dum Dugan (comic version obviously) Quote
Legocity2713 Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 Very nice Dum Dum Dugan. I may have to try doing the same thing. Good work man. Quote
Hulk_Smash Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 Thanks, just wish there was a fleshy head with an eyepatch so I could make nick Fury. Quote
Legocity2713 Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 (edited) Thanks, just wish there was a fleshy head with an eyepatch so I could make nick Fury. I know. I am probably gonna take the already existing Fury head and put it on the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent body because I want Nick Fury to bear the logo. Also, what face does Dugan have? The S.H.I.E.L.D. agent's? Hulk_Smash Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 Yes, it is the figure from the set, just with a moustache and bowler. Quote

Hulk_Smash Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 (edited) No problem, I was thinking of using a different head but didn't see the point. Edit: just made a Superior Spider-man Edited May 24, 2015 by Hulk_Smash Quote
Marvel_Geek Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 No problem, I was thinking of using a different head but didn't see the point. Edit: just made a Superior Spider-man Going to make one to but it will look a tad different and also have the mechanical arms. Quote
Im a brickmaster. Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 I would maybe add some red hips to break up the black Hulk_smash, but your Dugan is purist perfection Quote
Hulk_Smash Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 I tried making the mech arms, but it didn't look right using the Carnage tentacles, which is th only things I have that would kind work. And regarding the red hips, Superior doesn't have them. Quote

Hulk_Smash Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 I was going for how he was in the comics, were he is mostly black. Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Dugan looks excellent! I agree that Superior Spider-Man could use a bit more red somewhere, as it just kinda looks like Miles grabbed the wrong mask from the dry cleaners lol Quote
