mojaramask Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 What hair would be good for New 52 Lobo? I see regular Lobo has already been made, so I want to do something different. Quote
Krikkit Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 What hair would be good for New 52 Lobo? I see regular Lobo has already been made, so I want to do something different. Depends, you could use the anakin skywalker hair in black, or the egon spengler hair in black, it depends which image you are using as your muse. Also, the brand new superman hair looks like it would also work for it. Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 What hair would be good for New 52 Lobo? I see regular Lobo has already been made, so I want to do something different. I used a black pompadour. I like the idea of using that new Superman hair from next year's Batman v Superman sets, so if you're willing to wait a year...! Quote
K-Nut Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 Supermans hair from BvS would work, otherwise the black pompadour like Numbuh1Nerd said could. I'd personally, for my own interpretation of the character, go with slicked back black hair or Superman's current hair. The pompadour is a bit big for my tastes. Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 Does anybody know of a better head for Scott Lang? I'm not too into the one from the set. He also needs some hair. I'd definitely appreciate any thoughts. Quote
Sir Gareth Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Does anybody know of a better head for Scott Lang? I'm not too into the one from the set. He also needs some hair. I'd definitely appreciate any thoughts. I used Sam Gamgee's head and Star-Lord's hair for a comic version. Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 I used Sam Gamgee's head and Star-Lord's hair for a comic version. I was going more for the movie version, although that would be pretty rad! I don't have Samwise, though. Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 I think I've learned to love the head on Scott, but he definitely needs hair. I'd really like to avoid the standard tousled, since that's really overused with the Avengers. Quote
8BrickMario Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 (edited) I know he's been done a few times before, but this is my take on the Judge. I like the combined slope and robe, but I currently cannot find my light grey longsword, so he has a darker one for the time being. This is my attempt at Dick Grayson, Tim Drake, and Damian Wayne. Edited June 15, 2015 by 8BrickMario Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Judge's gavel looks really great! You might try a different torso for Damian, though. Quote
8BrickMario Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Thanks! I recently saw the episode and I realized that modifying the minifig-scale mallet in the Fairground Mixer would be perfect for the Judge. I agree about the torso, but I couldn't find anything better. Quote
CobaltMoon98 Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 I've been catching up on the New 52 Justice League recently and I really like the design of David Graves. Have any of you put together a purist version of him? Quote
K-Nut Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 I'm not entirely sure how to. Getting the right effect on his face is the hardest part. Maybe use this piece? It's not perfect, but it might be the best out there. Quote
TheBigRedCheese Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 (edited) What hair would be good for New 52 Lobo? I see regular Lobo has already been made, so I want to do something different. Personally, I think that are a lot of different hairs that could possibly be used for New 52 Lobo, but here are the best one's that I could think of: 1) https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=43753&in=M 2) http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=62810 3) https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=98371 or, if you are not an absolute purist, and might try some third-party brands.... 4) https://www.brickforge.com/store/product.php?productid=18603&cat=593&page=1 5) https://www.brickfor...&cat=593&page=1 I'm not entirely sure how to. That almost definitely is the best purist solution for Graves that exists. Great job on that find? Also, what was that face was that originally from? I'd like to get something to resemble those two protrusions he has on his head, but it seems like it'll be hard to find something that close. That volume also got me thinking about Steve Trevor. I haven't seen much of him in Lego form, so I may need to give it a shot. "might be"? Please! That almost definitely is the best purist solution for Graves that exists. Great job on that find? Numbuh1Nerd Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 I saw a lot of people just using the older evil skull for Graves to pretty good effect, if you can't manage to get that piece. Quote
K-Nut Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Yeah, Peppersalt on flickr has a good one with that skull here. I thought that the head would be difficult with this picture as a reference. Quote
CobaltMoon98 Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 I saw a lot of people just using the older evil skull for Graves to pretty good effect, if you can't manage to get that piece. I was really into Castle before my dark ages, so I have tons lying around. Thanks for the suggestion. I had considered it, but I wanted to see what other people came up with. I also found another, but it's not the most accurate. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3626cpb1254 Yeah, Peppersalt on flickr has a good one with that skull here. Legocity2713 Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 (edited) Jurassic World Barry makes for a good "Mack" from agents of SHIELD. Very rugged, bought mechanic look like he has from the show. Edited June 17, 2015 by Legocity2713 Quote

8BrickMario Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Here's a rather simple purist Batman suit "updated" with the Super Heroes head and cowl. Ignore Batzarro. Quote

Legocity2713 Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 (edited) A few of the new Monster CMF series 14 figures were leaked and shown over on thebrickfan. One of them is a guy in a skeleton costume. Would the head work for Crossbones from Marvel? Edited June 18, 2015 by Legocity2713 Quote
