Victory Style ship

A beautiful ship under construction with some nice details.

I hope the author will finish it and put updated pictures in this BS folder.

He didn't provide any contact info so we'll just have 1 way communication for now.

Looks nice, I'm planning to do something like that in the future, but wider, I'll only need lots of black invert slopes and long black slopes, I hope there are also long slopes in yellow.

Very nice looking!, I'm using a similar technique on my ships for the tumbelhome. One minor note though the Victory was a three decker, this is only a two decker which means its as small as a 64 gunner to as big as a 80 gunner.

I saw this on Brickshelf yesterday and I was wondering how long it would take to find it's way here.

It has some nice interior details like the stove, bookcase and gun rack and the colors scheme is good. He's a very new BS member so I hope he will uploading more sections of ship sometime.

I remember that the English ship from Master and Commander was also yellow and black.

Same for all the English ships in the Hornblower series.

The french ships however are mostly red and black.

I really wonder why this was like that and what is the meaning and origin of these colors.

All the ships in the battle for Trafalgar were yellow and black, typical for a British ship of the line. But the French ship were black and yellow too.

Let me introduce myself, I'm an Italian boy (near Rome), I like both ships and classic-Science fiction... and LEGO naturally.

I'm trying to merge these three hobbies in just one activity... hope I'll be able to go ahead with my Victory-style ship.

I used the Nelson's ship name just for fun, I didn't try to assimilate that beautiful ship in my LEGO imitation... I usually buy LEGO specific parts on the www.BRICKLINK.com web site. But it's much expansive then my budget. :-(

So I often use ML-Cad or 3D Studio MAX for my LEGO big-scale ideas.

Instructions like these would be good for MOCers such as I who have never built a ship as it would lend some useful building tips, or at least some inspiration. But I don't think I'll be building a ship any time soon.

BTW there was a nifty looking minfig piano around here somewhere, does anyone know where that might be and who made it? That would look marvelous in the captain's cabin!
