ApophisV Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 Yeah, after having seen many average movies in the Sneak Preview the last month, I'm really looking forward to see some great one.... Dudes, april and may will be sooo cool!!! Quote
Orlego Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 That is a great list of movies Jay. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory should be great. I know that Burton is following the book more than the original movie. I did think Johnny Depp would have had a creepier appearance but from what I have seen, it looks like Johnny with a 1960's woman Quote
Vader Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 I like most of Burtons films but i do feel that sometimes his films lose there ways and some of the endings are not as good as they could of been, case in point Planet of the apes what the hell was that ending about??? :-D Quote

It looks like a regular filmmaker made this flick. Quote
Vader Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 I did like from Hell though, his style of filmaking is different from the norm which is good. Quote
Orlego Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 I did like from Hell though, his style of filmaking is different from the norm which is good. From Hell was great and it still had the Tim Burton feel to it. These candy canes are all Burton... Quote
Vader Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 I look forward to seeing the burton umpalumpas (is that how its spelt??) |-/ Quote
Orlego Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 I look forward to seeing the burton umpalumpas (is that how its spelt??) |-/ Yeah Umpa Lumpas. From what I have seen they look alot more normal. He is really following the book. The movie made them look the way they did. The author never envisioned them to look like that. Quote
The Middleman Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 Isn't it Oompa Loompa? Anyway, I've been following this movie very closely, and I think it's going to be a lot of trippy fun. Definitely a lot creepier - between Depp and following the book, it's bound to be. Think about it - the movie is all about an insane, possibly gay chocolate factory owner killing off kids in various ways through temptation until he finds the perfect successor. Quote

WOW Jay :o :oo Umm... ok.... someone help me..... Jay is Mr. Creepy Man... ;) And I guess Oompa Loompa can be spelled both ways. It is spelled Oompa Loompa in the credits and I think the book, however, there have been officially released products where they spell it Umpa Lumpa. ;) Quote
Vader Posted January 22, 2005 Posted January 22, 2005 Same about the Umpa Lumpas, i thought that Burton would have some fun with the way they looked. :( Quote
The Middleman Posted January 22, 2005 Posted January 22, 2005 So do only mods get to change their personal title...? 'Mr. Creepy Man' would've been great. :P Seriously, though, that's what it is. I just see past the 'happy happy joy joy' mask. Quote
Vader Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 We all get our names for jipay i believe and soon grasshoper you may get one too :) just dont ask for one. Quote

ApophisV Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 The difference to FBTB's way to handle titles is: For money I'll give you all the titles you want... ;) :D Quote
Jipay Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 Well the title comes as soon as you reached a certain number of posts of course, but not only... We must find one that corresponds to you and we have to see you are around. Don't worry, it comes one day or another Quote
