Technic Gearhead Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Looks great! Pure Technic too with no unsightly system bricks. I like your panel placement and overall design. The color scheme looks good too - well done! Quote
dhc6twinotter Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 That is a really, really nice crane! You have some great functions, and I especially like your boom design. Well done! Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Great crane,I like the extending undercarrige. Quote
TimH Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Nice crane! I like the extending undercarriage too. Quote
timslegos Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Pure Technic too with no unsightly system bricks. How dare you say that . Nice crane! the extending tracks drive well for being extendable. Can the crane pick up a load? tim Quote
dr_spock Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Nice crane. I like all the functions. Are 2 LAs required to raise the boom in the model? I think the Sennebogen 683R has a single large hydraulic cylinder if I recall from the product brochure. Quote
dfs473 Posted April 28, 2012 Author Posted April 28, 2012 Thank you for your positive comments How dare you say that . Can the crane pick up a load? I will use this in the next video: @dr_spock Yes you are right, but one LA would not have enough power to raise the boom with a load. There must exist long and strong LA´s, so that it looks and functions like the original, but they don´t exist except some selfmade non Lego LA´s like these. Also a selfmade aculator with a screw would be to big in revelation to the boom. Quote
Zerobricks Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 The track extendion function is awesome! I rally like the shape of the boom and the overall functionality. Only thing bothering me is the placement of the battery box, its kind of out of place. Quote
leo81 Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 hi! you will put the instruction to build this beautiful machine? :) Quote
Lost_In_Noise Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Nice crane. I like the way the boom extends very fast. Is it powered directly from a m-motor, or do you use any gearing down between? Quote
dfs473 Posted April 29, 2012 Author Posted April 29, 2012 Nice crane. I like the way the boom extends very fast. Is it powered directly from a m-motor, or do you use any gearing down between? The second boom is powered directly by the XL Motor. The third bomm is powered by the M Motor with a Transmission from a 20t up to a 12t gear. Quote
dfs473 Posted August 9, 2012 Author Posted August 9, 2012 (edited) Now after some time I uploaded the actionvideo: The LDD is in progress Edited August 9, 2012 by dfs473 Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 I think you could of done with some guide ropes. Quote
Aussie BJ Posted August 9, 2012 Posted August 9, 2012 This truly is an amazing crane with a great functions, reach and speed. The safety officer wouldn't be to happy with no guide ropes attached to that bridge section' Brendan Quote
dfs473 Posted November 7, 2012 Author Posted November 7, 2012 (edited) hi! you will put the instruction to build this beautiful machine? :) Sry for the delay The LDD-file is here Hope you enjoy it! Edited November 7, 2012 by dfs473 Quote

hrontos Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 When I saw this for the first time, I did not wanted to bump into this older topic, but now I will take the oportunity to say how impressed I was. I like the boom design and the track extension function is something I have never seen before. Quote
