Hinckley Posted May 8, 2012 Author Posted May 8, 2012 The day's conclusion has been posted. Day Four should be up in four hours. We'll see.
CMP Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 I still think I'm the bagpiper master. Awesome game so far, Hinck.
Shadows Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Yay! Er, boo! Oh well, it isn't like I didn't see it coming. Fight the good fight, lads! Now I need to go, the Queen is waiting for me ... with pie!
Hinckley Posted May 8, 2012 Author Posted May 8, 2012 MetroiD and Shadows, my twit and my twat! My twat? Anyway, you guys are both priceless! Thanks for playing the game. I thoroughly enjoyed your participation and...well, you both know all the stuff you did. Thanks for making the game interesting.
Shadows Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 MetroiD and Shadows, my twit and my twat! My twat? I thought Draggy was the twit AND the twat. My twat? But... no, I'm not even going there.
Hinckley Posted May 8, 2012 Author Posted May 8, 2012 I thought Draggy was the twit AND the twat. But... no, I'm not even going there. He was, but you pointed out the clever title of yesterday's thread, so I had to hit it over the head with a hammer.
MetroiD Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Twittily twattily awesome! Whaddaya know, this has been my first lynch - it's been a long time coming, I guess Hinck, this game is absolutely awesome and I thoroughly enjoyed panicking playing it! It was also so cool to have Draggy and Shadows in a Mafia game once again, last time I played with them was back in Scouty's Imperial Soldiers Mafia, so it was definitely very nice to have them back on board
LEGOman273 Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Perhaps I'm a n00b, but: What does "Proxying" a player mean? It isn't detailed in the rules.
CMP Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Perhaps I'm a n00b, but: What does "Proxying" a player mean? It isn't detailed in the rules. It means you give the player you proxy your vote for them to place.
LEGOman273 Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 It means you give the player you proxy your vote for them to place. Got it. Why would this be done?
Brickdoctor Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Got it. Why would this be done? Because you might be offline during the end of the voting period and trust the player you proxied to make a sensible decision of changing or not changing your vote if more information comes up while you're away.
Bob Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Got it. Why would this be done? Usually if you can't make a decision yourself, you give the proxy to someone you really trust. It's also somewhat useful for scum to proxy another scum if they know they might not be around for the vote.

Hinckley Posted May 8, 2012 Author Posted May 8, 2012 Got it. Why would this be done? Stop asking questions! Just kidding. I was just saying what everyone else wanted to say. I'm sure if you thought about it for a bit you may come up with some strategies it could produce. At the same time, it also gives you the ability to make your vote count if you can't be online for whatever reason. But you can also make it appear you trust someone or dupe people into proxying you their votes, like when a false investigation double clears you as Town, but your Scum and you get a good portion of the asylum to proxy their megablocking votes to you, megablocks Draggy, punch you in the face.
Fugazi Posted May 11, 2012 Posted May 11, 2012 I just had to leave on an unplanned trip so for the next 2 days or so I'm on variable quality Internet access and crappy book reader who won't allow me to bold votes! It's only temporary though.

It's only temporary though. This game will actually take a break over the weekend since some players are at the EB event, you're leaving town and I have family visiting. So, we take a short intermission.
Hinckley Posted May 12, 2012 Author Posted May 12, 2012 Thanks for playing, JimButcher! Sorry to lose you. I'll say more after your affiliation is revealed, but I'm very glad you played.
Hinckley Posted May 15, 2012 Author Posted May 15, 2012 I hope everybody enjoyed the break! Day 5 will go up in about 12 hours. Thanks to everybody for getting their Night Actions in.
Zepher Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 I refuse to vote until I know what sort of funny pants substitute Cornelius is wearing during the 24 hour mark. That makes all the difference. All the difference.
CorneliusMurdock Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 I refuse to vote until I know what sort of funny pants substitute Cornelius is wearing during the 24 hour mark. That makes all the difference. All the difference. Yeah, Hinck. Put me in less distracting slacks so Zepher's dirty mind can concentrate better.
Hinckley Posted May 17, 2012 Author Posted May 17, 2012 New pants every 24 hours? Sorry, I thought it was only expected every game day. I'll have to do something at the 48 hour mark. Anyway, a huge thank you to JimButcher and Fugazi for playing. I'm really glad you were a part of the game. Sorry to lose you both. JimB, it was hard to see your lynch considering the delayed voting and the extension from the site going down. It was a real nail-biter for me. Not literally, though. That's a bad habit. Anyway, I noticed you hadn't logged in and felt bad that the conviction happened during "Jane's nap". Foog, we've discussed a couple things already. I'll say more on our discussion after the game.
