Holodoc Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 The event countdown... ... has to wait for just one more day! Can't you count at all? It's fantastic to see the bright light at the end of the tunnel already. One more sleep and then 10 days to go. Yahooo! Quote

Holodoc Posted April 30, 2012 Author Posted April 30, 2012 Hehe =p In 3 days I'm in Manchester awaiting AFOLcon to start Then it's LEGO all the way until I'm home from the EB event. Holy cow! Now I'm envious. But, without further ado: Ladies and gentlemen, I'm proud to start the 2012 event countdown! This year we have a brand new experience: It's a quiz! I haven't built anything this time, but have taken some closeups from sets with numbers. It may be taken from decals, printed parts, may be the set number, but not necessarily... Your task is to guess what set was used on the photo. We'll start with a very easy one: The one with the most right answers after ten days of guessing will win - nothing but my sincerest respect! MetroiD Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Is that the 405 South / 10 West sign sticker from 8147 / 8495 (Tiny Turbos)? Quote
Holodoc Posted April 30, 2012 Author Posted April 30, 2012 Is that the 405 South / 10 West sign sticker from 8147 / 8495 (Tiny Turbos)? *meeep* Sorry, wrong. I forgot to tell that the image shown may be only a part of a longer number. Quote
Christian Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Is it a sticker from the Mærsk train 10219? Quote
Quarryman Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Is it a sticker from the Mærsk train 10219? If it's not I'd be amazed, seeing as it's completely identical to one of the stickers in 10219. And Holodoc, this was a very cool idea for this year's countdown, it's going to be fun to see what you'll come up with! Quote
Holodoc Posted April 30, 2012 Author Posted April 30, 2012 Is it a sticker from the Mærsk train 10219? We have a first winner! Congrats, Christian. Wasn't too complicated, eh? If it's not I'd be amazed, seeing as it's completely identical to one of the stickers in 10219. And Holodoc, this was a very cool idea for this year's countdown, it's going to be fun to see what you'll come up with! Thank you and stay tuned for another (easy ) number tomorrow. Quote

Holodoc Posted May 1, 2012 Author Posted May 1, 2012 Would it happen to be 10197 Fire Brigade? Absolutely right! Making it +1 for Christian. Stay tuned for a brain-twister with no. 8. Quote

Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted May 2, 2012 Eurobricks Emperor Posted May 2, 2012 I have no clue Quote
Holodoc Posted May 2, 2012 Author Posted May 2, 2012 I have no clue No wonder! Look at the colors and the details that appear at the edges. It's a small number, btw. Quote
Holodoc Posted May 2, 2012 Author Posted May 2, 2012 No ideas? Okay, more hints: - The number shown is (obviously) NOT part of the set number. - the number is ca. 1,5 mm high. Okay- it's not small, it's very small! - and located on a decal that sticks on part x143, which is dark bluish gray. Quote

I tried earlier today but couldn't get it without the clues, nice one Holodoc. Quote
