The_Cook Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Dude, seriously post this on Cuusoo! This is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If it's posted on Cuusoo then it'll be turned down as it conflicts with themes that are already in production. Nuju should just keep designing like he does and hope that someone at Lego HQ notices the thread and offers him an job in the same way that Alexandre Boudon (aka Toth) got his sketches noticed and his designs became part of the collectible minifig series. SirBlake Posted May 28, 2012 Posted May 28, 2012 Edoras is perfect in so many ways. Beautifully represents the movie set and is totally pure as it relates to what a LEGO set needs to be. I would be thrilled if the official offering was anywhere near this level of excellence. Can't wait to se what (if anything) is next for Two Towers from you. Quote

It doesn't quite work like that. :P When Lego looks for people to design, they look for people who actually -design-. -Omi Quote
natesroom Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 I've read about one guy who they saw his builds at a convention, took note of him and then a few years later saw some more stuff and gave him a job... I think that you don't have to be a sketch artist for lego to hire you... Quote
SirBlake Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 I think that you don't have to be a sketch artist for lego to hire you... I'm sure that is the case, but it sure wouldn't hurt. I work in the design world (advertising agency), and while it doesn't take a great illustrator to make a great designer, having that in your portfolio is very meaningful. Quote
adventuresinlego Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 If it's posted on Cuusoo then it'll be turned down as it conflicts with themes that are already in production. Yeah, nah, there's enough Lord fo the Rings, Ninjago and City projects up on Cuusoo that I'm pretty sure it won't be turned down. Quote
Nuju Metru Posted June 1, 2012 Author Posted June 1, 2012 5th set, "Ruin of Osgiliath," has been added to the first post! Go check it out! Quote
CMP Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 I would pay these prices for the creatures alone. Fantastic Fellbeast! Quote
WhiteFang Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Nuju Metru, that is a very impressive project. I enjoyed every aspect of your creations and with your excellent photography skills, it made even better! For myself, I love the Ruin of Osgiliath and Edoras. I preferred structures and buildings. Quote
Lynx Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Osgiliath is another nice set! I think it could use an orc or two to add some conflict in the set. Your skill in creating brick-build creatures is off the chart! Treebeard, the fell beast and the warns all look cool. I don't think I'd buy any of them, however, and really hope LEGO will make holds for them. Edoras and the Dead Marshes would be instant-buys for me. Quote
JackJonespaw Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Whoa! Your newest project is amazing! The Fell Beast looks fantastic! I would buy this if this was a set! Quote
Niku Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Osgiliath is great too, Gollum could be also on this set. I would buy it. Quote
Fives Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 This Osgiliath set is your best set yet! Amazing work! I would buy it for sure (if it had official figures). Can't wait to see more sets! Quote
StrykerCat Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Great work. I hope you continue with more sets. I too would buy them if lego offered them but I also would buy the instructions if you offered them - for a reasonable fee:). I really enjoy the LotR theme and these look great. I've been watching all the movies while building the LotR sets I bought so far. Edoras was my instant favorite of yours but then I saw Treebeard and now I'm torn. Maybe trees really do talk. If no one is in the woods to listen... Quote
gotoAndLego Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 While I love these and think they are great I don't think you should put them on Cuusoo. There is a clause that your set won't be made if Lego are doing something similar. Its safe to say that Lego is planning a lot of these sets, and the designers do internet research while working on their designs so they will see these. It would be a shame to get hopes up only to have the set canceled fo that reason. Quote
soccerkid6 Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 The Osgiliath set is great! The ruins look a lot like the movie and give a decent sized structure without many pieces used The minifigures are excellent as well! Especially the soldiers of Gondor Quote
Mr_Malfoy Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Awesome designs, Nuju Metru ! I would buy these if they became real sets in a heartbeat, especially Osiligath! Quote
Ash Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Ruins are awesome, especially the Fell Beast! Although "Imagined price point: $50" seems a bit on the optimistic side. Quote

I don't think I'd buy any of them, however, and really hope LEGO will make holds for them. Edoras and the Dead Marshes would be instant-buys for me. Thank you! I'm glad you liked my creatures. It was difficult to try and capture such distinctive creatures into a small enough scale, and with suitable poseability for my tastes. Osgiliath is great too, Gollum could be also on this set. I would buy it. Yes, Gollum could be in the set, as could Sam, another three Gondorians... I had to limit the figures at some point. Since Gollum doesn't play a crucial role in this particular scene, and already appeared in "The Dead Marshes," I decided not to include him. Great work. I hope you continue with more sets. I too would buy them if lego offered them but I also would buy the instructions if you offered them - for a reasonable fee:). I really enjoy the LotR theme and these look great. If no one is in the woods to listen... Indeed, I am in the process of making my "Return of the King" sets right now! As for instructions, I would be delighted to offer them; however, making instructions is really an endeavor, especially with larger and denser models and without a virtual brick program at my disposal. Ruins are awesome, especially the Fell Beast! Although "Imagined price point: $50" seems a bit on the optimistic side. I always seem to price my stuff optimistically. Hopefully, that's the least realistic part about my products. "The Two Towers" chapter of this project is over. Keep your eyes peeled for the final installment with my "Return of the King" sets! Thank you everyone for your feedback! Quote
Masked Builder Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Now that's a set I'd buy! Love that Nazgul you've come up with. Faramir looks pretty good too. Quote
SheepEater Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Your sets are splendid. Great work! Other than that... Can't you use a face for Gollum? That's the only nitpicking I can think of. Quote
