here we go. It's a thread for all of my hero factory creations, some of which are actually made in real life.

first of is something i did a couple of days ago: i converted 8227 Breez into Samus Aran!

as ZORK64 noted in his review, Breez is basically Samus in lime green. since you can use any color in LDD, i decided to take that even further, with a 2.0 chest plate and new helmet.

man i hope we get the parts in the right color, cause this is pretty cool. oh, and is this a good enough idea to put on Cuusoo?

I'd think you'd want to customize the model more heavily to look as much like Samus as possible before putting it on Cuusoo. Currently there's a passing resemblance, but I don't think there's enough of one that Metroid fans in general would feel enthusiastic about having it as a real product.

Still, it's a neat concept with a cool color scheme.

Nice idea, you beat me to it. The only thing for me to finish my version is the Black Phantom chestpiece to be available in LDD.

Nice. The color and design are spot-on. But if LEGO were to make a Metroid line, I'd prefer it to be more like the Galidor line.

well, this was just an idea i bashed out in an hour or so, so i'm not really serious about putting this on Cuusoo  .

anyway, here's something else i made. It's Bulk, in XL form. Fun huh?

here he is:

i really want those claws in that color scheme. (that being titanium metallic and bright transparent green.)

i don't really want to post all of the images, so here's the rest. Pictures of Bulk XL

so, should i post this to Cuusoo?

P.S. i have this:

lddscreenshot27.jpg

it's a generic frame for building XL heroes, like my XL Bulk. it should be available on ReBrickable, but for now you can get the file here.

P.P.S. i don't know if i should be directly linking .lxf files in my posts. Mods, is that okay?

Samus looks good, but yeah, you should alter even more things about her to get the resemblance right. The entire equipment of the left arm has to go, same for the Hero core, the lime green and the rockets at the ankles. The head looks good, but in case of a Cuusoo figure it should have a new head which resembles Samus helmet far better.

But overall, good design.

And btw, the reactions about the mention of Galidor made me laugh.

but but but..

You're just switching heads of official sets. That's not even as creative as the little kids who stack 10 different colors of bionicle sets on top of each other :cry_sad:

Yes! The HF building system is good for HF, but it doesn't sit well w/ me for a Samus figure.

I prefer pieces like those from galidor because they don't have the major problems, such as the un-armored back, that the HF system does.

Sure, the show was crappy but the figures LEGO made were actually pretty good.

No, they really weren't. They were terrible, and very un-LEGO. It shames me that you said that.

i was joking, okay. it's just a thing i made on a whim. oh,and everybody's reaction to the Galidor stuff is hilarious. but seriously, please don't turn this thread into a bionecle versus galidor argument. if you want to argue, do it here.

It's not a perfect replica of Samus Aran, but the idea is good, and the figure itself looks really good. It would be nice to see Metroid Lego Action figures and system sets.

Indeed. They weren't even recognizable as Lego.
