You can learn more about VFracing team by seeing his profile on Rebrickable.com: http://rebrickable.com/profile/VFracingteam/details . Look at the very top of this webpage) to contact him. Edwin Korstanje Posted May 6, 2012 Author Posted May 6, 2012 (edited) Hi Edwin, I'm really impressed by your model, very cool! I'm new to this forum after picking up my old Lego hobby again after 25 years... I saw that you are from Holland as well, just like me. I would like to ask you some questions, for example, where do you get all the parts for the ship? I just cannot imagine that you got them all from original sets. Is there a way to contact you directly via this forum? I think I am not allowed to send personal messages...?? Thanks! Andre Like Dluders already said, welcome at EB. You have right that not all parts comes from sets, there are lots off internet shops and at Brincklink.com you find all the parts and shops togehter there. When you give me a Mail when allowed than i told more. Greets Edwin Thanks for the warm welcome! In the meantime I have discovered Bricklink and even placed my first orders. I was just wondering: for your tugboat you need large quantities of bricks in a specific color: the shops on brick link often only have 5 to 10 of a specific part in stock. So where do you find the large quantities? And how do you determine - up front, so before actually building the model - which parts and in which quantities you need?? (Obviously a lot has changed in 25 years... not to mention all the new parts there are ;-) ) BTW, Edwin, how can I reach you directly? Someone posted a link to your email address, but that doesn't work... Edited May 8, 2012 by PoweredbyNorth Quote
jadedomg Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 This boat is amazing, I never thought of seeing a technic tug boat then I see this crazy detailed and accurate one. I can just imagine the difficulty because the way you have to work with studdless beams. The lime green looks great too I love it. Quote

K9DOG Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Thanks Jaime, This is a lot off differend than a Unimog firetruck that i build, but it's where fun for the brains too build mine first ship. How are your Unimog building's gets? Greets Edwin Hi Edwin, Well, I´ve have done too much on the trucks, the U4000 or the U20, lately. I have these two and another NXT project which is giving me some programing headaches but keeps me quite busy. So I go back and ford from one to another ;-) Right now waiting for a few old Lego sets bought on Ebay for parts, as I do not want to take apart my other projects for parts :-) Anyway, your MOC was very nice, we do not see too many boats made out technic. cheers J Quote

If you send an e-mail to me at LudersDG@MSN.com , I promise to send a Eurobricks Private Message (PM) to VFracingteam with your e-mail address, and whatever message you want to send him.
