MetroiD Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 And that pretty much shoots my chances at confirming or denying the guilt of Meahan with absolute certainty. It also makes the entire situation more complicated since it removes one potential source of information, the ability to compare identity claims. Seriously though, what's the point in keeping up this charade. By now you should be well aware that I'm Town, but it's already too late to do anything about it anyway. You've obviously been convincing enough for quite a chunk of our shipmates to follow you and the fact that you insist on pulling the moves I was predicting for Day 4 anyway is just plain annoying. Yes, I'm oh so scummy for trying to be a good decoy and not coming up with incredibly absurd explanations for everything. I've been a very very bad boy. Oi Bess, come give me a spank, will ya! No offense Shan, but she's just way cuter.
Shadows Posted May 7, 2012 Posted May 7, 2012 Seriously though, what's the point in keeping up this charade. What you just quoted backs up exactly what I said, I had an idea that could have worked, but it can't because of a change/clarification to the rules-of-life. I never said I had all of the information, if I did, I wouldn't have asked, and I certainly didn't receive it. A few people sent me their info before today, when I hadn't asked for it at all, and sadly, none of it is contradictory in any way that helps solve our problem. By now you should be well aware that I'm Town Not even close. All I know is that you've made a claim you can't back up in any way after making a lot of really suspicious comments along the way. For example: Having seen how Ruben has done his best to valiantly defend himself and to underline that the protection of the Royal Family comes first, I'm still not 100% convinced that we'll be lucky tonight. Really? You feel so strongly about protecting the Royal Family, but when given the opportunity to simply tell me the truth, you didn't. I was asking for the protector to come forward that day, in private, and instead you make a claim that you're in contact with them and tell me that they will come forward privately after the results of the lynching. Fair enough, I can understand caution there, but it wasn't caution, it was a lie, it didn't happen. Suddenly, you wanted the name of the only confirmed member of the Royal party, and there was no way in hell that you would get that because you didn't need it and hadn't earned that kind of trust. Then, late in the game, you pulled the exact thing I said you would, "oh, it was me all along, and everyone else knows it but you, it's so obvious." Really? Even since all of this discussion of it, I've seen someone who obviously didn't know, and I'd bet that most of the group missed your 'obvious' hint. Plus, if you were so worried about keeping the secret, why make a hint where the scum could see it when you could just do what you said you would and talk to the one person who had been able to show that they were working for the Royal Family? You may be exactly who you claim to be now, but you've managed to make yourself look so suspicious that no one in their right mind would turn over the name of any member of this party to you, and that's what you demanded. You can keep saying how concerned you are for the Royal Family, but in the end, you've done as much for them as Ruben. At least he put up a 'valiant' defense, right? You've obviously been convincing enough for quite a chunk of our shipmates to follow you and the fact that you insist on pulling the moves I was predicting for Day 4 anyway is just plain annoying. You have never, in the entire time that you kept writing and trying to learn the name of the person I had investigated, ever mentioned day 4 or any plan to help. You never did anything to help! As for anyone following me, many of them suggested you as suspicious before this day even started. Yes, I'm oh so scummy for trying to be a good decoy and not coming up with incredibly absurd explanations for everything. I've been a very very bad boy. Oi Bess, come give me a spank, will ya! No offense Shan, but she's just way cuter. Good decoy for who? No one! The only person you've ever spoken up for turned out to be an assassin. Are you even trying to make sense? Don't bother answering that.
Hinckley Posted May 7, 2012 Author Posted May 7, 2012 As a conviction has been reached for over 20 hours, I will now close the day thread. A conclusion will be up in about 7 hours. If everyone gets their Night Actions in, I can have the new day started in 11 hours. Thanks everybody for the help and participation.

He will now walk the silver plank. Meahon Doughal is excited that he got his final wish to be spanked by Bess Bulton. "All right, that's enough!" Shanalon Dairne says. "Put some pants on, Scumbag!" Fairon Garzi, Meahon's accuser, scoffs as he pushes him onto the silver plank. "Onto the plank, Scummy-Scumbo." Shanalon Dairne laughs, "At long last, we'll get proof that he's a Scummy liar. We're so smart. We're like steamship scientists!" Zerard Wolfe plays a solemn song on the bagpipes as the rest of the passengers wait for the sun to set to see Maihon Doughal's true identity. In a flourish, Meahon removes his helmet and adorns a beautiful robe to show that he'd been thinking about fashion sense throughout the ordeal. His beard and eyebrows are meticulously combed and his natural pink hair glimmers a beautiful grapefruit color in the setting sun. He may be dying, but he's glad he looks good.
