Thanks. I'm not sure about Legolas' alternative facial expression. If it is meant to resemble an angry look, I think it fails. If it's depicting the elf cringing, I don't see how it relates to the movie. Anyway, still a great figure. I wonder if the cape would fit between his back and hair.

The Rohan soldier with printed legs and cape does not look as good as I expected. I think it might be too much brown and green. I might try giving him red arms (I think that's the colour some Rohirrim in the movie had) to give some more contrast.

Thanks for the pics.

I was wondering do you own the maiden hairpiece or the long hairpiece from the collectible minifigure line? I'm curious as to how both would look on Eomer and Gandalf.

Damn! I'd hoped to be able to let these pass, but the figures alone are worth the expenses. Thanks Sidersdd for having me hooked on those ;-)

Be well!

p.s. and totally OT: I really dig your wicked miniature Go board and left a comment on your Flickr! Awsome stuff you've got there!

(youtube reviews irritate me, those hands get the itches on me. Weird).

The Moria set looks very playable.

A full fellowship would be cool to have.

Since reviews of the Gandalf, Moria and Shelob sets have already been posted:

Here's a review of the Brick Queen of the Uruk-hai battlepack set

didja all see the euro prices?

it's too expensive if you ask me... what do you think?

Doughnut know if this has been posted yet, but here's a review of the Mines of Moria by the 'Brickqueen'! :sweet:

The only overpriced set IMO is the Weathertop. But that set is overpriced in all regions if you ask me.

I think they are pretty similar to the prices of the other licensed stuff such as PotC and The Superheroes line.

But because of all the new molds, I don't think we can actually complain. :sceptic:

The only sets I'm picking up are 'Mines of Moria', 'Shelob Attacks' & 'Gandalf Arrives'. = 123 EUR

That's not even the price of the most expensive set in this wave :classic:

(After that I will wait for a price drop to pick up 'Weathertop' to complete the Fellowship.)

I was just on Target.com and most of the sets are now instock to ship online at the suggested prices that are much more reasonable than Toys R Us! Helm's Deep and The Orc Forge are listed as being released on Wed. May 16 now.

Where? Which prices do you mean?

I searched the topic and couldn't find any post asking this, but is Boromir's sword new mold? I think it's most visible around the 1:00 mark. It looks like a cross between the classic sword and the new longsword, but maybe it's just me. It doesn't look like that in any other place that I can recall, just this review.

It doesn't look LEGO. Not sure, I just noticed When you pointed it out.

HOLY CRAP that is a new sword!!! default_thumbup.gif

A new review (same guy as the last two): Mines of Moria

And one thing that really bothers me is that this idiot has never seen a classic skeleton...yet he reviews sets. It is not like they disappeared..

If you think this guy (who easily is the best YouTube reviewer) is an "idiot" I can't wait to hear what you have to say about the other reviewers on there.

Yeah, it's a bit odd that he hadn't seen that skeleton before, but so what? Maybe he just hasn't? Just because he reviews sets doesn't mean he has to be a certified LEGO guru who can recognize every single part and name every set that came out in 1977. Give the guy a break.

I doubt that's a new sword. Instead, I'm pretty sure that it's a production error.

I mean, why have pointy swords everywhere only to give Boromir this rounded sword? You're not going to kill many orcs with a blunt sword!

Also, how does not having seen a classic LEGO skeleton make someone an idiot? Are people who haven't seen them not allowed to make reviews..?

I completely agree. Granted, I've only seen reviews by "Brick Show", "Brick Queen" and the guy in question. But out of those three, he ("DoctorBrikDaddy") has the best reviews - by far! Figures are neatly depicted and always in focus, the time-lapse building of the sets is a nice feature, and he shows every single play feature there is to a set.

Speaking of which, his fourth review is up: Uruk-hai army

This is what I was thinking, especially after seeing the other review in which Boromir seems to have the standard longsword. She's a lucky gal...

That's harsh. I like his reviews. Informative, detailed, and well-edited and composed. Can't go wrong with all of that.

They may not have disappeared, but it has been awhile since they been used since they aren't used as much.

Considering the advent of new skeleton and skull designs over the years, it is easy to make a mistake as such.

For the Aussies:

From Twitter (LEGO Group): We expect the sets (Lord of the Rings) to hit stores mid to late June.
